More details have come to light on something we talked about here a while back: that former FBI General Counsel James Baker thought Hillary’s use of a private server was “appalling” and “alarming” and that he “argued with others about why they thought she shouldn’t be charged.”

Investigative reporter Sara A. Carter has obtained Baker’s testimony before the House Oversight and Government Reform Committee, in which he said he believed her use of her own server for classified emails while she was Secretary of State was enough to secure an indictment to possibly charge her for violations of the Espionage Act, for mishandling sensitive government documents. He testified that he argued about this over “a period of time” with senior colleagues at the Bureau, including then-Director James Comey. They apparently went round and round about this.

Ainsworth: Doubling down on Dems picking Michelle O for 2020

By Laura Ainsworth

A while back, I made my “official” prediction of who the 2020 Democratic Presidential nominee would be. If you recall, it was…(drum roll, please)...

Michelle Obama.

As far as I know, I’m the first to have made this prediction, and in light of recent developments, I continue to stand by it. Michelle says she’s not running, but this certainly isn’t the first time we’ve had to consider what the meaning of “is” is. She WILL be running. I think at one point she also said she has no INTENTION of running, but that’s always subject to change, so it means nothing. Michelle is bound to have done some of her own polling, so she won’t be surprised by this:

Video proof

By Mike Huckabee

Here’s even more video proof of why the abortion industry is so desperate to keep anyone from launching undercover investigations to show the public what abortion really is.  Live Action has released a new hidden camera video of a New York abortion clinic worker offering a would-be client tips on how to kill her baby if it’s born alive during an abortion procedure.  Warning: the language is graphic and sickening and absolutely realistic.  This is the ugly truth about infanticide that’s hidden behind squishy terms like “reproductive justice.”

Reminder: the Governor of New York apparently endorses this, as does the man who is still the Governor of Virginia, for unexplainable reasons.

Wrong again, Yahoo News

By Mike Huckabee

The national debt recently topped $22 trillion, which this story from the liberal-biased Yahoo News headlines with “Republicans Mum.”

I’ve been warning of the dangers of the rising national debt for years, through Administrations of both parties.  I won’t denounce the recent tax cut, because I think it was necessary to get GDP growth and job creation rolling again, and it’s already paying off in rising federal revenues thanks to that growth, which at this point is the only way we’ll ever get out of this hole.

The reason we have a massive deficit/debt isn’t because we don’t tax enough but because Congress spends too much.  The “tippy-top” earners, as they are now known, couldn’t pay off this debt if Washington confiscated every penny they have.  And the same people who want to target them with 70-90% tax rates also want to add trillions and trillions of dollars more in spending.

Both Republicans and Democrats have repeatedly failed to level with the American people and tell them, to quote President Trump’s closing theme, “You can’t always get what you want.”  Until leaders of both parties accept the reality that every American family does – that you can’t start paying down your debt until you start spending less than you bring in – the debt will continue to rise and become a bigger threat to our grandchildren’s futures with each passing year.

As a Republican, I’ll keep speaking up about that.  And if you think the Democrats are going to be any better, then you should know that one of the first proposals they introduced after taking over the House was to bring back “earmarks” – that is, adding pork barrel spending to bills to bribe members to vote for them.  You probably haven’t heard about that because “liberal media mum” on it.

From the “Stay Classy, Liberals” File

By Mike Huckabee

Seven-year-old Benton Stevens of Austin, Texas, was so inspired by President Trump’s State of the Union speech that he set up a hot chocolate stand to raise money to help build a wall to secure the border.  While he got much support, he also had to endure “liberals” who complained to mall managers and got his stand shut down, attacked him on Facebook, called him a bigot, and one who drove by and yelled, “Little Hitler!”

But in a welcome sign that leftist thug tactics are no longer intimidating Americans, the “Little Hitler” slur was so appalling, it offended even some liberals.  His father said, "People who were originally very mean have started apologizing for what they said and sticking up for Benton. He is close to $5,000 raised now and is thinking about doing a free hot chocolate stand for people from both sides of the debate, since there are so many from both sides sticking up for him."

I suppose it’s unrealistic to hope that anyone who would call a seven-year-old boy “Hitler” just for having a different opinion on a political issue would ever read the Bible, and Jesus’ words in Matthew 7:5:  “Thou hypocrite, first cast out the beam out of thine own eye; and then shalt thou see clearly to cast out the mote out of thy brother's eye.”  But maybe this quote will resonate more with them, and it applies to Benton, too:  “If you strike me down, I shall become more powerful than you can possibly imagine.” – Obi Wan Kenobi, “Star Wars”

"Tidying Up"

By Mike Huckabee

Kudos to the Netflix show, “Tidying Up.”  The series that helps people declutter their homes is being credited with a big spike in donations to local Goodwill stores.  That’s also good news for those of us who like to go to Goodwill and buy a lot of fun stuff to clutter our homes with.

Bernie 2.0

By Mike Huckabee

Sen. Bernie Sanders made his entry into the 2020 Democratic Presidential race official yesterday with a pair of interviews that were frankly sad for the way they illustrated how far off the leftward cliff the Democratic Party has leaped.

Just a few years ago, Sanders made many populist points that sounded similar to some of Trump’s points, about both parties being beholden to Wall Street and ignoring the problems of working Americans.  He was even realistic enough to admit that “Medicare for All” would be too expensive to implement.  You could easily imagine that after Trump’s win, he might have even sought out Trump to work on issues of mutual agreement.

Sadly, Trump’s victory sparked the “Resistance” epidemic and the mental hysteria that’s gripped the party ever since.  Democrats were so furious at Trump for beating Hillary Clinton that they absolutely refused to work with him or even acknowledge that he's President. They took their mindless opposition so far that they now reflexively oppose anything he supports, even building a border wall they once voted to fund.  In the midterms, they elected politicians so radical, they couldn’t even applaud a child who beat cancer if she was introduced by Trump.

Laura Ainsworth: "IMAGINE" socialism --- "It isn't hard to do"

By Laura Ainsworth

At the risk of sounding like The King in THE KING AND I, “it is a puzzlement.” Just as society and culture –- and even the essentials of survival –- come crashing down in Venezuela, young socialists here in the U.S. (along with the Democratic Party and its candidates for President) crusade either for socialism or for something as close to socialism as they dare admit during a campaign.

Oh, but this is “democratic socialism.” It’s of the people, by the people, for the people. The people vote it in because they want it. Well, the people in Venezuela supported it, too. Now they wish they hadn’t. Good luck getting rid of it when there’s nothing to go back to.

So, why would anyone want socialism –- especially now, when they can see with their own eyes a socialist “utopia” imploding?

"Jesus said unto her, I am the resurrection, and the life: he that believeth in me, though he were dead, yet shall he live: And whosoever liveth and believeth in me shall never die. Believest thou this?"
