AOC's double standard

February 25, 2020

“If It Weren’t For Double Standards…” Dept: A few years ago, before entering politics, Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez bragged on social media about somehow being able to get her goddaughter into a good charter school, something that liberals like her want to abolish because they think private education alternatives to public schools undermine the power of teachers’ unions. Needless to say, they also undermine the school’s ability to indoctrinate students with leftist curricula because they empower parents.

I have never understood why anyone would think that the public school system should prioritize protecting teachers’ unions over the good of the students (but then, I don’t belong to a political party that’s heavily dependent on money and campaign volunteers from teachers’ unions.) The only purpose of a school should be to give the students the best education possible, and if it’s failing to do that, then something needs to change.

As hypocritical as this story makes AOC sound, though, I have to cut her some slack. I don’t blame her for wanting her goddaughter to have the best education possible. In fact, I want that child to go to a good charter school with a real economics class that won’t teach her to be a socialist. And AOC is hardly the only liberal politician to preach public schools for everyone else while sending their own family to expensive private schools. Frankly, I can’t think offhand of any liberal politicians who did send their kids to public school (you’re welcome to list them in the comments section if you know of any. And Elizabeth Warren’s denials don’t count.)

It’s only natural to want the best education possible for your own family. I just wish they'd quit fighting so hard to deny that right to other people's children.

Mike, I think the first mistake the country made was mixing the race in schools, teachers have to spend more time making kids behave than the do teaching. Few years ago we visited a school in the state we live in it was a sight to see at the misbehaving that was going on. Outside there was a teacher that was suppose to be supervising the kids, they were about to make teacher pull her hair they were acting so terrible.
Second mistake the country made was hiring all these liberals that are teaching in our higher learning schools brainwashing our kids

In all honesty in today’s world I could not send my children to public school with all pretense of morality wiped out.

I believe Amy Carter went to public school during the Carter administration. Bless her heart.

If these school shootings continue...as they surely will if Christians don't, finally, step up to the plate...(as they failed to do when "they" took God and the He that is greater than the he they left in the school)...then a parent's greatest concern is NOT going to BE if the he of socialism robs them of a good "education" ornof godly biblical values, but, rather, what they will worry MOST about isnif he robs their child of his very life because what authors this he's curriculum is his HATRED for ANYTHING "good"...which would INCLUDE "education" !

Maybe if this crisis becomes bad enough, Christian leaders will stop putting money in beautifying their church buildings and will start putting it in starting schools where God will be welcomed inside its doors and invited to author HIS curriculum that breathes out His love in whatever academic subject is included IN His curriculum!

Mike, i post this as these are your words from this mornings mail... Good Work.

Our Nations School Systems, from Elementary to Doctorate, are being brainwashed and henceforth will suffer for decades. We are indeed "Dumbing Down America,"

Socialists anywhere in the world including here in the USA have one standard for themselves and another for everyone else. I have said that AOC doesn't have the brains to get in out of the rain but I have since changed my thinking. She has a reprobate mind that is very programmed with the communist and socialist manifesto. She knows how to promote herself and get established in the upper echelons of power to control her so-called constituents. Do not underestimate her. She is a demon in disguise.

AOC spends so much time blabbing about her agendas when does she actually do any work she was elected to do. Just asking.

Socialist-Communist leadership team members always do well for themselves. It’s everyone else who suffers. AOC has been “elected” to a socialist leadership position, so she’s just exerting perks of her position.

She speaks with without thinking! Let’s just hope she goes away after this November!
