In the legal fight to take down President Trump, there has been no more shameful example of collateral damage than the case of former national security adviser Lt. Gen. Michael Flynn. But since he got new legal representation --- attorney Sidney Powell, the perfect choice given her past experience with Mueller attack dog Andrew Weissmann --- it’s been clear that this isn’t over for him.

Recall that Flynn was charged with perjury even though his FBI questioners –- one was the infamous Peter Strzok –- didn’t think he had tried to mislead them, and that former FBI Director James Comey publicly bragged about sending FBI agents to the White House to question him without benefit of a lawyer in the very early days of the Trump presidency. (His audience laughed when he told them.) It was an obvious set-up. And from all we can tell, Flynn took the plea not because he had actually lied but because he was financially broken and prosecutors had threatened to go after his family.

Flynn still hasn’t been sentenced, as prosecutors have enlisted him as a “cooperating witness” in a FARA case (Foreign Agents Registration Act) involving his former business partner. But according to investigative reporter Sara Carter, who cites a brief filed by Sidney Powell in the Eastern District of Virginia and unsealed by the judge on Tuesday, that relationship changed after they pressured him to lie under oath. According to the brief, “The prosecutors have been adamant that Mr. Flynn testify that he authorized the filing of the FARA form knowing and intending that it contained false statements. Mr. Flynn cannot give that testimony because it is not true.”

As Carter reports, before he signed off on the paperwork in question, which the head of the National Security Division of the DOJ was making him do, Flynn had one of the top experts in FARA law go over every bit of it to make sure it was truthful and in order. It was his absolute belief when he signed it that it was correct.

But because he wouldn’t say what they wanted –- because saying he had lied WOULD be lying –- they were planning to change his designation from “cooperating witness” to “co-conspirator” in the case against his former partner. Prosecutors are, in effect, suborning perjury when they deal with a witness in this way.

So, after all this time, Flynn is still having to deal with this garbage. Fortunately, Judge Anthony Trenga issued a scathing opinion late in the day Tuesday that rejected the prosecutors’ request. The details are here in Carter’s updated report…

Judge Slams Government Argument That Michael Flynn Is 'Coconspirator' In Former Partner's Trial

Carter, in an appearance on Tuesday’s HANNITY, made the point that a FARA application is typically simple to fill out, but that Flynn’s FARA was “so extraordinarily complicated” that it was almost (almost?) as if they had deliberately crafted it to make it impossible for him to avoid making a misstatement. Traditionally, the FARA law has been quite casually enforced, but agents started cracking down when it was found to be a way to snare associates of the President.

Oh, and Michael Flynn’s name also turns up on the list of 12 more subpoenas being issued by Jerrold Nadler’s House Judiciary Committee. After all he’s been through, and all the testifying he’s already done, the Democrats want to put him in the hot seat again –- and perhaps yet another perjury trap. It’s just disgraceful, especially when directed at someone who served his country with distinction for decades.

If they really wanted to conduct oversight, they’d be looking into the way this fine man has been treated.

I really wonder if any administration has ever had these kind of despicable tactics applied to the people around the President with so much fervor and lack of honor? Even Lincoln, who the Democrats of his day hated, didn’t face this kind of malice.

Yes Sir! It is amazing! The Left uses their "Bully Pulpit," to intimidate and villify a good man like General Flynn by making certain they use intimidation ,Alas! Money situations, or in other words, they make certain that they completely divest the person of all his wealth in order to silence the truth.
You know this is really a sick way to operate. There needs to be a way for General Flynn to counter sue for defamation of character, but these sleaze bags know that this is pretty close to impossible. Being a Believer, I know, The Lord can and will, make restitution for General Flynn, somehow.

I very much appreciate your support and that of your daughter for President Trump and his presidency. Thus, I am using this opportunity to take advantage of any opportunity you may have to pass messages on to President Trump. Today I would like to make 2 comments:
    1. Music can be a great motivator and good for generating that patriotic feeling. I love "God Bless the USA which Lee Greenwood sings and President Trump has used both the song and the singer. Lee Greenwood has other patriotic songs on a CD entitled "American Patriot" that I think came out back about 1992. The point here is to encourage President Trump to use music to encourage patriotism espceially for those who audio persons. There can be a little more music at the rallies. This being said, the 4th of July speach was great. All about the military/others and not about Trump. The theme song for each branch of the military was great. 2. I've said this before, but will continue to say it: we have to have fair elections. States plan to allow illegals to vote and some states want to go with the popular vote. These ideas have to be nipped in the bud. We cannot wait until the last minute. If states are allowed to override the electoral college or election laws we may very well lose everything our country stands for. Thanks, Diane Hahn PS I am not a robot and dislike the time it takes to TRY to prove it

It is truly a deeper and wider swamp than that needs drained than we first thought.

I still believe that our last president worked to destroy our republic from the inside out with the help of Democrats in office.

This is why they are ‘unhinged’ over Hillary’s not being elected. They were so close, to exactly what, we don’t know. The ends do not justify the means. They are not about the people’s business, but their own.

So glad that God will have the final say in the end.

Grateful also that people like you, Sean Hannity, Tucker Carlson, Laura Ingraham, Shannon Bream, Sara Carter, Gregg Jarrett, John Solomon, Greg Gutfield, Dan Bongino and numerous others are digging in to expose and enlighten the public who wants to keep an America one nation under God under the US Constitution and free of tyranny.

Pray ?? for America! He is a God of miracles and changing hearts of those who are seemingly impossible to change!!!

It is a tragedy of the first order that men who have honorably served America are treated as scum by men of no reputation whatsoever. General Flynn was doing his duty as an honorable American and men of no reputation come along, with their criminal cohorts and are able to destroy him, with the foulest of intentions, destroying his reputation, his finances and the good order of his life and there seems to be no where to turn.
Where are all the good men gone!
It seems that we've truly come to the time when "good is called evil, and evil good".
God help us. We seem not to be able to do so ourselves.

General Flynn is one of more than 200 high-ranking officers purged by Commander-in-Chief Obama during his administration. General Flynn opposed President Obama's treatment of ISIS "with kid gloves."

This could happen to any one of us. Flynn needs his life back and compensated for all the money spent in this deep state run charade to get Donald Trump!

I am sick of the way the government has treated General Flynn. Same Mueller dirty cop procedures they used on others. When does Mueller go to jail for helping the Clintons and Epstein?

I have NEVER understood the abuse of Michael Flynn by the FBI and others. To think that the criminals are accusing the innocent is beyond imagination. One only has to read the bill of rights to see the injustice against this man. I have known for a long time that there is an abuse of power in America but to the extent to trap then laugh and mock people who served their nation loyally is despicable. Talk about the "deplorables"! Gen Flynn is in my daily prayers. May GOD who IS watching bring justicel.

I find it hard to believe that President Trump had no way of helping with all this. I know he wants to stay honorable and and adhire to the law, but when his friends, and America's friends are being tossed in jail for no reason, then it's time to make something happen to stop it.

We have always had corruption in the government but this corruption is of a magnitude and boldness that is stunning. Many Americans are becoming inured to it so that it gradually become "acceptable" to treat citizens this way. It is absolutely abhorrent and antithetical to our American values.
