BIBLE VERSE OF THE DAY

Why I'm actively supporting Gov. Newsom's recall

By Mike Huckabee

California Gov. Gavin Newsom, speaking Monday to Joy Reid on MSNBC, said this: “The principal sponsor of this recall effort wants to put microchips in ‘immigrant aliens.’ We have folks that are literally part of the ‘Three Percent’ militia group, right-wing group, that are part of the principal proponents of this effort...the RNC is the second largest donor to this effort; the HUCKPAC, Mike Huckabee; Newt Gingrich is out there; Devin Nunes; Trump mega-donors have put in close to $3 million in this effort.”

All right, with the gauntlet thrown down, and me and my PAC mentioned specifically, let’s talk about the recall effort against Gov. Newsom.

First, the governor is trying to deflect criticism of his abysmal performance in office by pointing fingers at those who support his recall. Let me just say, if I’m in the company of Newt Gingrich, Devin Nunes and Trump donors who are working to get Gov. Newsom recalled, I’m honored to be a part of that. By lumping in right-wing militia groups, Newsom is trying to make it look as though all his opponents are racists.

And that’s the left’s strategy: No matter how bad things get under their leadership, you have to suck it up and take it, because those racists on the evil right want to “put y’all back in chains,” to quote then-Sen. Joe Biden. This is dishonest, unconscionable race-baiting.

Would you like to know why I’m involved in this effort? One big reason is that a message needs to be sent to arrogant governors who think it’s unsafe in these times to go to church but fine to go to a strip club, and to a governor who orders the public to avoid dining out and to wear a mask but who dines out without a mask.

I take it as a badge of honor to be disliked by a governor who’s so bad, he almost makes Andrew Cuomo look competent. (Wait, I said “almost.”) At last count, the Newsom recall campaign, which needed 1.5 million signatures, had surpassed 2 million. If there are that many white supremacists and racist militia members in California, it makes you wonder why he’d want to be governor of a state like that.

Of course, most of the people who want him gone have nothing to do with racist militia groups. In fact, if we’re going to talk about racism, Californians might want to look at HIS racism, as he also told Reid that he would be choosing an African-American woman to succeed Sen. Dianne Feinstein should she retire. “We have multiple names in mind, and the answer is yes,” he told Reid when asked.

Reportedly in the mix are California Reps. Barbara Lee and Karen Bass, and San Francisco mayor London Breed --- all black, female and far-left.

Newsom later clarified his statement on THE VIEW with host Sunny Hostin --- not in terms of whether he’ll choose an African-American woman (he will) but whether Feinstein would necessarily be resigning. She’s 87, and her term isn’t up until January 2025.

"...I have no expectation that she’ll be stepping aside,” he said. “Quite the contrary. I talk with her quite often. She is as lucid and focused, as committed to the cause of fighting not only for our state as...senior senator in California, but this nation, in her senior status, as someone who has been in the Senate, with great respect across the aisle, as long or longer than most.”

Yes –- in fact, longer than ALL. And I'd say she’s every bit as lucid and focused as the current President of the United States. At the very least.

Anyway, Hostin told Gov. Newsom that many black women “felt slighted” that he had appointed Alex Padilla to fill Kamala Harris’ old Senate seat; Padilla is Latino. Good grief.

Newsom had to defend his choice, saying Padilla will be the first Latino to serve as a U.S. senator from California. “Given the privilege,” he said, “the opportunity to make another, you have my firm commitment that will be truly representative and will make up for that.” In other words, don’t 'recall' me, and I’ll appoint a black woman. Because that’s the most important thing.

Joy Behar asked Newsom about organizers’ claims that over one-third of the signatures are from “Democrats, independents and unaffiliated voters mad that your pandemic policies [are] shutting businesses and schools.” He had a very different take, and I’ll bet you already know what it is. The people backing this are RACIST.“The number one grievance,” he told Reid, “was the browning of California, immigration.”

Tucker Carlson on Tuesday night interviewed Anne Dunsmore, campaign manager for the group Rescue California, and she pointed out that according to a recent poll, 58 percent of Californians want to see Newsom recalled. (Wow, that’s a lot of white supremacist militia members.) Also, she said, 50 percent of their signatories are women, and Newsom is apparently dismissing them. Maybe he just assumes they’re white women.

"He’s managing to alienate pretty much everybody,” she said, “because there isn’t anyone who hasn’t had to deal with the ramifications of his lack of leadership and poor decision-making, except for maybe him."

As this story in CNN points out, in order to fight off a recall, Newsom needs the Democrat base, the “biggest pillar” of which is African-American voters. So that’s what this is really about.

In a hilarious turn of events, just a few weeks ago, 91 percent of teachers voted against Newsom's back-to-school plan, saying it propagated structural racism. How can that be, when he’s the one pointing fingers at everyone who opposes him, calling them racist? Everybody's calling everybody racist.

Aimee Allison, founder of “She The People,” which strives to elect more “women of color," told the HUFFINGTON POST that “regardless of whether Feinstein steps down,” Newsom’s comment “signals a shift in our political landscape. Women of color are the future of the Democratic leadership and no matter what the old guard thinks, we aren’t going anywhere, either.”

The original question was supposed to be, do the voters of California think Gavin Newsom is doing an acceptable job as governor or not? If voters think the quality of life in California will be improved by basing their choice of leaders on race, they are doomed to disappointment and failure. They need to try...TRY...to look beyond skin color and consider the leadership qualities, experience and abilities of all.

And that means Gov. Newsom’s promise to choose a “woman of color” (translation: non-white) to fill Feinstein’s seat should not in the least help him avoid a recall. Just the opposite, as such a promise is itself racist and sexist on its face, discriminating as it does against white women and also against all men. (Note: President Biden has done this as well.) "Anti-racism" is racist, against white people, and if we’re going to call out racism, it has to be consistently done.

For this reason, in addition to all the examples of Gov. Newsom's abominable performance, I’m proud to be helping Californians remove him from office.

Happy St. Patrick's Day

By Mike Huckabee

We’re celebrating two holidays this week. First, I wish you all a happy St. Patrick’s Day! We’re also celebrating the first anniversary of “15 Days to Stop the Spread!” And no, you haven't been drinking too much. It's actually been a year-long two weeks.

It was March 16, 2020, when President Trump, Dr. Fauci and Dr. Birx announced the “15 Days To Slow The Spread” program, which was going to shut down the economy for 15 days to help slow the spread of COVID-19 and keep hospitals from being overwhelmed. 366 days later, many blue state businesses are still shut down for the “15-day hiatus.”

The traditional symbols of St. Patrick’s day are leprechauns, green beer and Guinness. The traditional gifts for the yearly anniversary of the 15-day shutdown are paltry relief payments for those thrown out of work, and for those states’ leaders, a calendar so they can learn the difference between 15 days and a year.

Biden will meet the press...soon

By Mike Huckabee

President Biden’s press secretary Jen Psaki announced that he will finally hold his first White House press conference on March 25th. That will mark 66 days since he took office, breaking a record for going without facing the press that stretches back over a century.

In what has to be the understatement of the century, Psaki added that it’s possible Biden will be presented with a list of approved journalists. I would imagine that not only will the journalists be approved, but their questions will be written for them well in advance, and the answers will be on the TelePrompter. If he manages to get through it without saying something like “Indian immigrants are taking over the country” or calling someone a dog-faced pony soldier, it will be hailed by the media as the greatest press conference any President has given in the history of ever.

The New York Post’s Michael Goodwin also expects the media will lower their expectations and raise their partisan enthusiasm. He cites this astounding quote from Politico:

“The President so far has surprised some of his former colleagues and allies with a largely gaffe-free White House debut after a lifetime of verbal stumbles.”

Goodwin notes that it’s easy to avoid gaffes when (A.) you never give press conferences, and (B.) when you do speak and make a lot of gaffes (the White House had to issue three “corrections” after Biden spoke to CBS), the media simply refuse to report it.

President Trump's interview

By Mike Huckabee

Tuesday, former President Trump gave an interview to Maria Bartiromo of Fox News. The biggest news is that he announced that he will not make a decision about whether to run for President again in 2024 until after the 2022 elections. He said that he first wants to help the GOP win back the House, which he thinks they have a “very, very good chance” of retaking. Trump also said, “I think we have a chance to do better in the Senate. We need leadership in the Senate, which frankly, we don’t have.”

Trump also urged his supporters to get vaccinated for COVID-19, saying the vaccine is safe and it works. More quotes and video of the interview are at the link.

Green Screen Biden?

By Mike Huckabee

One of the stranger conspiracy theories going around: Is President Biden making real appearances, or is he just posing in front of a green screen?

That link attempts to explain some of the recent baffling video glitches. I get why it might appear that the top of his head disappeared, but I’m at a loss as to why the two microphones really being further apart than they seem would explain why his hand appears to pass through and in front of either of them. If we have any tech wizards who can explain it, please feel free to comment. Personally, my theory is the same one I had during the campaign, when Biden never appeared in person to campaign, only on TV, and he constantly made glitches when he spoke: we’ve elected Max Headroom President.

A Reader Writes Back...

Dear Governor, Love reading your newsletter everyday. First of all I live in Arkansas and I was to young to vote for you as Gov, but I can't wait to vote for Sarah, I think she will do a phenomenal job for the state of Arkansas.

The sooner Americans come to grips with the idea that the OLIGARCHS running over 90% of ALL media the sooner we can start the path back to Regaining our Constitutional Republic-Democracy NOT! The Public school system besides being RUN by people who have NO Regard for the Students but only their welfare are also now the Propaganda Arm of the Communist Ideology. They may call it Progressivism but anything that is not in the BEST Interest of We the People is REGRESSIVE.--Its all about going back to our Founders Ideas--Read the Preamble to the Constitution and the D of I and it's all spelled out. John Adams told his wife, Abigail, that this republic was meant for a Moral and Religious people and Totally unfit for any other! Prayer is a wonderful thing to ask for a way to become more Christlike- It's Not Asking for Divine Intervention - Render unto Caesar ..........

I'm a bit slow at getting to the subject of racism. First of all I'm unsure about being able to fully define it. My white son is married to a lovely blessed Christian woman. We (including my wife) dearly love and respect her. Many years ago (I'm aged 93), I wrote a weekly column published in a weekly newspaper. I wrote once that I was somewhat displeased that people of color were called African-Americans (hyphenated Americans) . I felt then and still do consider that name to be demeaning. Why should anyone be considered a person of worth and then give them a name that devalues their standing; African-American, someone who is only part American instead of fully American. To bear this out more consider that people groups consisting of people of color can originate in South or Central America and some locations in the Pacific Ocean. Some well meaning American people might name a dark-skinned person African (or Afro)-American whose ethnic origin was not African. I would prefer being called Caucasian than white. Wait, there's more. Another son is married to a lovely Canadian woman whose ethnic origin is Korean, (she is working toward a U.S. citizenship). She would be biologically named Asian. How are Asians divided, there is so many of them? Well, I could go and on but I think you get the point. I've missed investigating what dark-skinned people (now that Black is gaining in usage) prefer. I know my dear Korean-Canadian daughter-in-law will be happy to claim American (and that might be taken as a misnomer because it isn't ------ Oh! What to do?

In Christ (does that settle anything?)

    Dear Sir,
California WAS a beautiful state until the Democrats unleashed their evil minions to over take the state and destroy it with Fire to steal others properties. And it a shame that so many are being bamboozle into taking this Vaccine with Nano technologies in it to track humans and control their minds. It's not so far fetched as it seems. We need to stand up and take back our Freedoms.

I wish SARAH success in her race as well as all other good candidates but the press is naive in thinking we have election integrity. That is “fake news”. I am praying for a miracle - legal upset that would put the rightfully elected President and other Senators In office to save our Republic. The devil won and Scotus failed us. I don’t understand why Georgians are not screaming. No one dares mention that the ACLU trained thousands of GA poll workers and put special emphasis in Fulton and DeKalb (largest population centers). Mike Lindell’s reporting was missing this piece. The 300 Deputy Registrars (Lawyers) who decide adjudication we’re ACLU trained according to their literature and press releases. Lawyers protect their own. Lin Wood and Sidney Powell are outnumbered and two outstanding Patriots. You are another. Never give up.

Thank you for endorsing "Recall Gavin Newsom." Often times, I feel no one from Washington is listening to us or cares. I'm from California, my husband is white and I'm African American (true African American, born in Africa and naturalized American). We are not white supremacists and it's not about color or party (no shocker there pulling out the race card). The governor needs to do his job! Ask Newsom why he locked down small businesses throughout California, but his wineries in Napa were fully operational and how he dined out, mask free, to celebrate a birthday at a very expensive restaurant. This, along with his other inabilities to run our state, except into the ground, is WHY we want him gone. Perish the thought he should some day be our president! I honestly believe Newsom didn't think the recall would get this far, because the other attempts failed. Just like the democrats didn't think Trump would take the presidency, govenor gav, though he was untouchable!

For a guy who claims to have been a Republican for 55 years Mr Johnson has missed it or isn't really a Republican.
We WON the Presidential race, kept half the Senate and trounced the Dems in the House.
NWe have a fire under us : Trump and MAGA.
All the Dems have is fraud, hate mongering, corruption and tyranny.

Biden will meet the press soon. However, the “questions” won’t come from ??journalists, MSM. They are props, kind of like the fake doctors in clean white coats when Obama had them sitting at one of his ???? briefs. These props will ask what the puppet master directs. They will, like the price is right audience, cheer when the light is turned on to Cheer/Applaud. This WHOLE phony brief is as phony as ??Biden actually winning this election.

Your support in recalling Newsom is a great idea for all the right reasons. We are now living in a Marxist Utopia. A talking head for a so-called dying president.
As a believer I see denominational heads doing the same. Hiding behind smoke and mirrors and letting their sheep wander to be food for the wolves.
I see now that I have to go to real believers on podcasts. Accepting federal control of when and how they can worship! No wonder no mention in the Bible or even a description of America. The globalists now effectively the government and the church and all but one Bible college- Hillsdale.

Happy St. Patrick's Day! TBN is airing a wonderful "Drive Through History" with Dave Stotts driving around Ireland giving the whole history of Saint Patrick. It is truly fascinating.

BTW, I hope that "Fifteen days to flatten the curve" ends soon! My state (commonwealth) is ruled over by Lord Northam (he reminds me of Lord Dunmore), and I don't think he understands or agrees with the Virginia Motto, "Sic Semper Tyrannus" (Thus always to tyrants -- like him).

    Dear Gov.,

I have been a Republican for almost 55 years now and have never been one to become lambasting in my proclamations. However, after this past year and the trouncing the Republican Party took in the Presidential election, I believe we are lost...if we don't do something soon. We need a victory to inspire the base. Whether it comes from the nation's capital in the form of a legislative victory or a state election that no one was counting on, we need something to build a fire under and to rally the masses around, or we are destine for the bone-heaps in Minnesota and the mid-west.

I genuinely don't wish to sound negative, but how else can I be when we are losing at almost every turn. I am only a lowly citizen of this great nation, and you are one of the few who stand out among those who lead many in this country to make a difference. Please use your voice to pull those of us who feel our feet sinking in the tar pits of despair out of those feelings of hopelessness and bring us back into a world where we can make a difference. We most assuredly desire to make a difference.

At this point, I believe there is a vast preponderance in our nation, who prey on a daily basis for a road for which God may calm us down, which will lead us to redemption and a free and fair nation once again. A place where we feel comfort in the fact that our children may live fruitful and God-fearing existences without fear nor retribution from those who wield the devil's staff.
May God bless you, Governor, and those whom you hold dear.

I live in So Cal and signed the Newsom recall petition months ago. It's not easy due to you have to sign within a signature box and if you sign outside the box your name will be tossed out-so picky. Our gov is so out of touch w/this state. We are not recalling him because we're all racist. We're recalling him because he has let our state down. So many businesses have disappeared and really didn't have to thanks to him. He's another one of these "rules for thee and not for me" leaders and we are all sick of him. He's clueless just like his auntie Nancy and makes things up to suit his narrative. Excuse me, we aren't as stupid as you think we are. You Newsom are clueless and calling us racist just proves it.

I do not know Newsom or his Pelosi relatives but doubt they are racists. I believe accusing others of racism is a political device that works on young people 'primed' by a biased school education and media that indoctrinates our citizens with guilt, hate, and righteous indignation. Any conscious person can see they are promulgating racism with their accusations and false narratives. Newsom acts and speaks like most voters are stupid. It also seems like a lot of people would rather admit to being woke than stupid without realizing both adjectives relate to the same activities.

Stop referring to people of color as a different race separate from the human race! There is only one race and that is the Human Race! The Human Race consists of a great many communities. The Black Community and the White Community and the Asian Community and Hispanic Community and so forth. And together we all are connected through family and friends and we all are part of the Human Race. Please do share that with your viewing audience on your shows and news letter. Let’s re-educate everyone on this. Let’s do what the liberals refuse to do and that is kill the Race Card! Are you with me on that? I sure hopefully so. Let’s make the liberals look even more horrible than what they already are if that is even possible.

Wanted to mention how I enjoy your newsletters. Also, the left has nothing to go on in any situation but to keep reiterating the "racists" word. I should hope people are really getting numb to this. I just say yeah yeah, racists. Okay. They think this strikes a nerve to everyone. NOT. They think it's how they can get their way about everything. NOT. I remember a couple years ago something did not go well with AOC. She immediately stated, then they're "racists". Of course.
