Wednesday, Joe Biden was Inaugurated President. You can watch the ceremony here, if you like.

And here is a transcript of his speech.

On the whole, I thought it was a good speech. He hit the right notes on unity, urging people to turn down the partisan heat and stop attacking people for holding different views, and saying he wanted to be a President of all Americans. He mentioned George Washington instead of canceling him, quoted the Bible and used the phrase “under God,” three things that might risk getting him canceled by some of his own supporters. I could have lived without some of the digs at his political opponent and America’s “systemic racism,” which were at odds with the unity and reconciliation theme of the speech. But then, I expected to get a lot more of that, so the overall tone was a pleasant surprise.

Still, talk is cheap. Let’s see if it’s backed up by policies that respect all Americans’ beliefs and rights to free speech and freedom of religion. I will pray for America, stay optimistic and hope for the best, but so far, I’m not encouraged that the Biden policies will live up to the rhetoric.

I don’t think there will be any arguments about whether Biden's Inaugural crowd was bigger than Trump’s or Obama’s. The ceremony attendance was eerily sparse, due to the coronavirus and the fear of some sort of attack. Fortunately, all the fences, razor wire and National Guard troops managed to hold back the invisible army of imaginary insurrectionist Trump supporters.

As I expected, there was no massive violent demonstration. The vast majority of Trump supporters are law-abiding, patriotic Americans. After a year of lecturing us not to blame the peaceful protesters for the actions of a small number of violent rioters, the Democrats spent the past two weeks hysterically blaming 75 million peaceful Trump supporters for the actions of a handful of violent idiots at the Capitol.

The massive show of security at the Inaugural was a gross overreaction born out of either paranoia or political theater. Either way, it proved unnecessary, as most Trump supporters found something better to do than cause trouble (like going to their jobs.) This went mostly unmentioned by the liberal press, but not by conservative media.

He's a hypocrite and a liar. You can't hold a bible in one hand and support transgender bathroom issues with the other. Throw him out of office

I was so excited to hear Sarah will run for Gov. I would love to work for her. I think she will be awesome like her dad. I met you when our radio stations covered an event you were at, at Dardanelle State Park.

I think it's always good to talk unity at an inauguration; however I have no confidence in Joe Biden's words. One way to show unity (other than requesting Congress to stand down on the impeachment trial) would be to address the recent election issues. Or this totally taboo now? I'm all for states' rights, but it seems Congress could legislate some common laws between states such as votes not received by election day don't count. States can back up their schedules to receive votes on time accordingly. No runoffs after our national election day - that's why we have primaries (I'm talking to you Georgia). Impose stricter penalties for anyone found guilty of election fraud. There could be many more including fair observation for counting ballots; protecting counted ballots, etc. Would love to hear your opinion on this Governor Huckabee!

I saw so many jabs and contradictions throughout his whole speech. To add to the list of disparities in his speech he said he wanted to make America wanted in the eyes of our neighbors (paraphrasing here), but the same days he pisses of Canada by cutting out over 8000 jobs from both sides. If he really wanted to make us look good again, he would have talk to the leaders of Canada about this first and not just went on a stupid path of trying to overturn Trump's legacies.

And I thought the idea of bringing us altogether would have gone over much much smoother without the mention of white supremacy which does not as a whole exist any more than does racism by blacks as a whole.

I refused to view his day. I’m not a violent citizen but a angry one. I don’t need to protest in the street. I’m a 66 law abiding citizen / born again Christian of legal immigrants. My days are reading Gods word praying for my Nation, my kids and my grandson. I’m praying for my Nation. I am and was a supporter of my 45th President!

I thought Biden's speech was a dozer. Looks like Bill Clinton actually did doze off and on national TV too.
Could have been written by a robot.

The thing I liked about the speech was that it was short and sweet. Was I the only one that noticed a couple of moments of dead air where there was supposed to be music or something? Someone got their wires crossed!

If you were a movie producer and knew you had a bomb that y spent a ton of money on so you need a huge turnout. What would you do? How did ole circus people draw people to their show?
If you MAKE a scandal you can gather the public and their money.
Now all the hype isn’t working and you’re opening night seats will be empty so now what? You invent a reason why no one can attend!
    Think about it!

I agree with you. His initial executive orders seem to be reversing all the great accomplishments of President Trump and Republicans in Congress.
