I watched your live stream about Mr O’Keefe, and I was reminded that Focus on the Family did the same thing to James Dobson.

While I would love to not have to do income tax, especially anything to do with social security and farming, my husband pointed out that we usually don't have to pay any income taxes. That would mean that any expensive appliance or car we buy would have more than double the taxes on it (8% + 10%). There needs to be an over-65 exemption for senior citizens for that to work for us. We have a limited enough budget as it is. The Fair Tax would also make us pay 10% when we don't pay much or anything now. That would work really great for people who are still getting a paycheck, though.

Watched your program tonight, enjoyed the information about taxes. If everybody paid a straight 10% on their income whether from labor or stocks and bonds, no long forms. There would be a big change.

Those who program the voting machines control the election. The code to enable voting machines to predetermine elections was written in 1974. See the video embedded in this web article:

Be careful what you wish for. Another name for the Fair Tax is the Value Added Tax (VAT) which is used in Europe. Depending on what country it starts at 20% and goes up from there. So WHO is going to establish the percentage? Who or should I say what, is going to stop the Gov't from increasing at will w/o the consent of the people?

If 10% is good enough at church for God it should be good enough for the Gov't.

The fair tax is really bad by some proposals. It was up to 70% because food gets taxed, clothing, houses; there will still be property tax, so owning a home will be more difficult. There is nothing good about this fair tax.

I totally agree that a Fair Tax system would be great, but I doubt if it would result in the IRS being fully eliminated. Would not there have to be an agency in charge of monitoring all sales at the point of consumption and then collecting that sales tax?
