Evening Edition - April 30

Here’s how you can tell you live in a place that has been, for a very long time, controlled 100% by liberals:

When even Johnny Rotten, the leader of the notorious punk rock band, The Sex Pistols, complains that there are so many aggressive, smelly, homeless vagrants camping on his lawn and leaving feces and needles everywhere that he can’t even get past them to his own front door.

That’s right: Southern California is now governed so badly that even the man who made the phrase “Anarchy in the U.K.” famous is complaining that law enforcement there is too lax and they let people act like pigs.

I’ll have more on this later, but for right now, I’ll just quote Queen:  “And another one bites the dust…”

Last November, voters in Illinois’ 45th State House District replaced a Republican with Democrat Dianne Pappas.  When they hear about the radical, reality-denying pro-abortion law she’s trying to pass, they should want to show up in 2020 to correct that mistake.  And when male voters hear what she had to say about any men who disagree with her, I think they’ll be lining up early to put a Republican back in.

Twitter Exchange of the Day! CNN is so eager to rush to dispute everything President Trump says, they’re now getting news wrong that they’ve had over 200 years to fact-check.

I mentioned recently that California Democrats, after years of raising taxes on gas and imposing policies that make energy generation more and more expensive, are now demanding an investigation into why their state has the highest gasoline prices in the US.

Well, this article goes into more detail about all the things that those same politicians have done over the years to drive up the price of gasoline.

https://www.redstate.com/diary/kentucky_dana/2019/04/29/isnt-left-wanted/

It also reminds us that the eco-liberals told everyone for years that they wanted to drive up the cost of gasoline, so they’re getting exactly what they said they wanted.  And the voters who are complaining about it just keep reelecting them anyway.  Sounds like some Californians’ think tanks are running on empty.

Two Massachusetts district attorneys have filed a lawsuit to block federal ICE agents from entering courthouses to detain illegal aliens when they show up for various legal reasons.  The DA’s claim ICE is violating their right to come and go about their business, and call it “an assault on our justice system.”

I can’t imagine the case going very far above the “liberal activist Massachusetts judge” stage before it’s tossed out for violating the supremacy of federal law.  But it’s worth talking about just for what it shows about the thinking of Democratic Massachusetts district attorneys – people who should be among the top experts on the law.  They not only seem to think that local laws take priority over federal law, but that people who are in the US illegally, some under deportation orders after multiple previous deportations, have a right to come and go wherever they want, including courthouses.  The mind reels.

Let me try to put that into terms that everyone, even a Northeastern liberal, should be able to understand.  Let’s say that you really want to see the Barbra Streisand concert.  But it’s hard: it costs a lot to get in and you don’t want to wait in the long lines.  So you just sneak in over the fence.  You’re caught a few times and get ejected, but you keep sneaking back in.  Finally, a security guard spots you heading for the concession stand, grabs you and hands you over to the cops to arrest you for trespassing.

Question: If you decide to sue the guard for interfering with your sacred right to purchase Goobers and a Coke in a place you had broken the law to enter, had no legal right to be and had already been removed from multiple times, what are the odds that any lawyer would take that case?

And what are the odds that Barbra Streisand would perform at your fundraiser? Because I bet she’ll perform at fundraisers for a lot of Democrats who are promoting the exact same idea, only they’re not protecting people's right to break into her concerts for free.

"It's the water". Haven't you noticed that think tanks are running on empty in a bunch of states with lots of water around them? CA, MA, IL.
Yeh: I'm in CA. No poop at my door step PtL, so it's a great place to live because of our GOD-given attributes—but the state gov is insane, as are all of our local reps. Amazing—and frustrating!

The Dems are a pathetic bunch of people who are only out to hurt our POTUS any way they can. They have not done one thing for the people that elected them or the country as a whole. They have spent the past yrs since 2016 fighting with Trump. 2020 will be their complete undoing,it will crush them like no other election in history. Voters of both parties are going to make them pay and show them the door. DJT will destroy them BIG. It will be fun watching the circus. Jim Brenthrop

This brain dead legislator is simply morally indefensible. On her behalf, I suspect that she is suffering from male rejection syndrome. It is extremely hard for women who may not be in the ten category, I don’t mean because she is on the heavy side, many heavy woman are in happy relationships, but because she obviously is truly resentful and bitter. Anyone who advocates killing a fetus at a stage where they can live outside of the mother is an evil human being. At one time. I did not believe in the personification of Satan, I do now. He is alive and well. There is simply no other explanation for this kind of thinking. Let’s put our hearts into helping women who find themselves in difficult circumstances. There are many couples who would welcome their baby with open arms and hearts. Let’s hold men accountable for their offspring. We don’t do a good job of that. Better yet, let’s raise our boys to be good men. My late husband said this to our boys at an early age. “Just remember, you are responsible for any children you father. “

What has happened to our federal government to have abdicated so much of it's common sense if not outright legal responsibilities? Sanctuary cities (or states) that ignore federal law. States that pass "same sex marriage" with the potential to have the "couple" move across the state only to find themselves in violation. Woman shopping for a state that has the same perverted idea of abortion that they have. States passing immigration laws when a state has absolutely nothing to do with immigration. Border states treating the border as their "personal property" when in fact it is the countries border, not there's. State specific election laws that can influence federal elections. States passing drug laws that enable people to shop around to support their habit, and on and on. I am not an advocate for big government but all of the issues I mentioned and other common sense or already legally decided issues ought to be the domain of the federal government. The savings alone in redundant state bureaucracies would be enormous as would the relief on the court system, so that both of these entities could better serve the public need. The lack of a coherent governmental policy for the entire country is a major contributor to our current divisiveness just like it was during the era of slavery. It took a civil war to resolve that issue but apparently we ignored what the actual message was, that certain fundamental rights (issues) define what a country (not a state) stands for. Instead we took the easy road and let the states "do their thing" until we once again have a country in rebellion.

If "supremacy of the federal government" is actually the Law of the Land, why is the federal government still sending federal funding for anything to the Sanctuary States?

An article in Breaking Christian News mentions that "The First Continental Congress, that met for the first time on Sept. 5, 1774, opened with an extended time of Bible reading and prayer. They began with a reading of the entire 35th psalm, which powerfully impacted everyone present." So I looked up Psalm 35 and it could have easily been a prayer for President Trump today. Here's just verses 1 and 4-6: "Contend, Lord, with those who contend with me; fight against those who fight against me." . . . "May those who seek my life be disgraced and put to shame; may those who plot my ruin be turned back in dismay. May they be like chaff before the wind, with the angel of the Lord driving them away; may their path be dark and slippery, with the angel of the Lord pursuing them." I was amazed at how this verse could pertain to our president. Keep up the good work, Mike, spreading truth so honestly and so delightfully.

You mentioned that Ca residents keep re-electing Democrats. I feel quite certain that those elections are so rigged that, even if the Dem voters stayed home, the Dems would miraculously win.

Your right Mr. H. the Massachusett's DA's snub noses against the laws of America vs. illegal immigrants. Seems they pander to illegal entrants, but continually dishonor those who entered America legally and some how illegals are better for breaking the laws of entry and getting what they want from tax abiding Americans. Those encountered illegally "fired their own shot at America" when they assaulted the legal laws of due process immigration. DA's further the causes of illegal entry by snubbing their noses at ICE and the Federal government while making themselves appear superior to federal law. Maybe they should be charged with dereliction of duty for not upholding rule of law and Federal immigration laws. The sanctuary states and municipal governments encourage illegals to come, because they, in and of themselves, are law breakers, too, for selfish reasons without regard to those who came legally or born in America.

    Governor Huckabee:
I just received a begging letter for $$$$$ from a group wanting to stop the Muslim Brotherhood! Well guess what, to late, they are already here along with CAIR. Obama had them in the White House to pray and have lunch, now we have 2 in Congress, how did that happen?
I am thinking those that voted for the 2 Muslim women had no idea about their background or even who or what the Muslim Brotherhood or sisterhood is! It's scary to say the least. America need to wake up before we are overrun with Somalis and more!
    Thank you,

Mike, after reading your comments on illegally crossing a fence to a concert, WHY can't we arrest illegals for crossing into our country? Isn't America private property?

yea, pappas rant---lets project the world population if we fully endorse the lgbt agenda--wanna tell me where the next generation of our species comes from??--maybe 50 yrs and the population will be in total decline--no new babies(cause that's bad)--and the abortion rate will be 100%---a fitting demise to the nutcases,--it's just that the folks who actually think humanity has a purpose like the Lord intended, will be destroyed in the process--maybe that's the message in Revelations----
