BIBLE VERSE OF THE DAY

To every thing there is a season, and a time to every purpose under the heaven:

Ecclesiastes 3:1

The PC Speech Police go to college

By Mike Huckabee

The PC speech police have already tried to cancel such words as “mother and father” and “he and she.” Now, the faculty senate at Penn State University has voted to do away with the iconic college terms, “freshman, sophomore, junior and senior.” I’m going to quote exactly what they said because if I relayed it in my own words, you’d think I was auditioning to write satire for the Babylon Bee:

https://pjmedia.com/news-and-politics/tyler-o-neil/2021/05/13/penn-state-faculty-even-the-terms-junior-and-senior-are-male-centric-not-inclusive-n1446806

“The University, as with most all academic institutions world-wide, has grown out of a typically male-centered world. As such, many terms in our lexicon carry a strong, male-centric, binary character to them. Terms such as ‘freshmen’ are decidedly male-specific, while terms such as ‘upperclassmen’ can be interpreted as both sexist and classist...Terms such as ‘junior’ and ‘senior’ are parallel to western male father-son naming conventions, and much of our written documentation uses he/she pronouns.”

No, seriously, that's a direct quote. They recommend replacing these terms with “1st-year, 2nd-year, 3rd-year and 4th-year,” and for those who stay longer, “5th-year.” But wait, even that is “problematic”:

“Concerns have been raised that numbering years beyond the fourth (4th) would perhaps negatively reflect on students who, for various reasons, are taking longer to complete their (typically) four-year programs, and are also referred to as ‘super-seniors’. In this case, the term does often carry a slightly negative connotation. Students in such situations beyond the fourth (4th) year could instead be referred to as ‘advanced-standing’ students.”

Hold on there, eggheads! I take great offense at the term “advanced standing!” It sounds as if you’re implying that people who’ve been there longer than four years have superior status to others, which is a relic of the patriarchal, classist meritocracy!

But it gets even worse. They also recommend that the school replace the classist terms “underclassmen” and “upperclassmen” with “lower division” and “upper division.” How DARE they imply that newer students (many of them gay trans students of color, I’d assume) are of LOWER status than white males in the so-called “UPPER division!”

I demand that all of these professors be immediately suspended, reprimanded, and put in stocks so students can throw rotten vegetables at them for their insensitivity to their own classist privilege!

I also recommend that they be forced to read George Orwell, who once observed that there are some ideas so absurd that only an intellectual could believe them.

As for my recommendations of what university you should send your kids to, you can scratch another one off the list.

PS – As long as I’m recommending universities your kids shouldn’t attend, I’d also suggest avoiding any schools that claim they’re fighting racism by bringing back segregation:

Important Vaccine Update

By Mike Huckabee

A blood expert in Germany believes he’s figured out why the Johnson & Johnson and AstraZeneca PLC COVID vaccines may trigger blood clots in some people.

Kellogg's jumps on the bandwagon

By Mike Huckabee

Add Kellogg’s to the list of corporations jumping on the bandwagon of shoving leftist PC propaganda down customers’ throats. In this case, literally. The cereal giant has teamed with the gay rights group GLAAD to create a “woke” cereal called “Together With Pride.” It comes in a purple box to promote gay pride.

https://redstate.com/mike_miller/2021/05/13/wokification-update-kelloggs-creates-new-woke-cereal-for-kids-n379966

Warning: like a lot of sugary cereals, a big bowl of PC propaganda just might leave you feeling a little queasy if you swallow too much of it.

Is this news?!?

By Mike Huckabee

Not sure this is even news, but I try to be thorough, so I’ll mention that about 150 anti-Trump Republicans and former Republican leaders signed a letter demanding that the party return to its principles (as they apparently define them) or they might leave and form a new party.

https://www.foxnews.com/politics/anti-trump-republican-group-mcmullin

Considering this group includes such raving anti-Trump partisans as George Conway, I’m sure most Republicans will be able to hold back their tears at their departure. They credulously repeat the Democrats’ propaganda that Trump encouraged the January 6th Capitol violence (which they wildly claim was an actual insurrection attempt) and that any suspicions about the 2020 election results are part of a “Big Lie” conspiracy.

Evan McMullin claimed that "a fourth to a third of the party has desired a new direction for it. Obviously, that’s still a minority of the party, but it’s a significant number." True, but I suspect it’s also a number pulled out of his hat. For instance, McMullin ran as an Independent against Trump and Clinton in 2016 and scored 0.5% of the national vote. He spent the next four years attacking Trump and endorsed Biden in 2020, so it seems to me that he left the GOP long ago.

And in a recent Texas special election, Trump-endorsed candidate Susan Wright came in first while an anti-Trumper endorsed by letter-signer Rep. Adam Kinzinger came in 5th among Republicans and 9th overall, scoring 2503 votes out of 78,374 cast. That’s 3.2% of the total vote or about 5% of the Republican vote. I’d have to have the math skills of a Squad member to think that’s a fourth to a third of the party.

Personally, I don’t want to see the Republicans lose any votes, and I think it’s foolish to try to split the party when there are such narrow margins of victory and so much at stake. But I can’t fathom how anyone could make an A-B comparison between Trump’s actions over four years (protecting life, defending religious freedom, securing the border, supporting Israel, standing up for American workers, and on and on) and the radical leftist destruction Biden has wrought in just his first 100 days, and think Trump is the biggest threat to traditional American values and the Constitution. If you believe that, you don’t need your own political party; you either need a psychiatrist or a few dozen more I.Q. points.

This is news

By Mike Huckabee

In a somewhat related story, a more relevant group also released an open letter with a very different message. A coalition of 124 retired generals and admirals known as Flag Officers 4 America put out a statement questioning President Biden’s mental health and warning that “our nation is in great peril.” They declare, “We are in a fight for our survival as a Constitutional Republic like no other time since our founding in 1776. The conflict is between supporters of Socialism and Marxism vs. supporters of Constitutional freedom and liberty.”

https://www.westernjournal.com/biden-daily-gaffes-124-retired-military-leaders-question-mentally-fit-president/

Might I suggest that those hissy-fit-throwing anti-Trumpers read over this. Maybe it would give them an attitude adjustment and remind them of what “priorities” are.

Don't listen to the polls (reposting)

By Mike Huckabee

Here’s why I always warn people not to listen to polls taken a year in advance.

https://www.westernjournal.com/lib-media-will-devastated-see-latest-desantis-poll-numbers/?utm_source=facebook&utm_medium=huckabee

A year ago, the media were slamming Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis for allegedly turning Florida into a killing field with his reluctance to shut down the whole state over COVID-19. Meanwhile, New York Gov. Andrew Cuomo as being hailed as a genius, handed an inexplicable Emmy Award, and writing a self-congratulatory book. Polls reflected this, with DeSantis dropping 11 points to 53%, while Cuomo skyrocketed to 72% approval.

One year later, Cuomo’s devastating bad decisions are finally being uncovered and he’s fighting efforts to impeach and remove him. Meanwhile, Florida is a COVID success story and DeSantis is at 55% approval, including 22% of Democrats, and holds double-digit leads over all his reelection challengers.

Then again, DeSantis’ race isn’t until next fall. I wish him well, but remind him: yesterday’s polls are like yesterday’s newspapers; only good for bird cage liner.

A Reader Writes Back...

Governor Huckabee - I really appreciate the way you deliver important news and facts with a dose of humor that helps us to take it in and think about what is happening with courage and resolve rather than fear. The daily Scripture verse helps a lot too.

    Mr. Huckabee:
After reading the article regarding the 124 retired generals and admirals, I was wondering what influence they may have on those who are currently serving in the same capacity? I understand that the president is considered their Commander and Chief but are any of them able to get beyond the political correctness our country is enduring? Also, the political partisanship that is rampant among our different branches of the military is so divisive now are there any constitutional remedies that could be implemented to oversee critical decisions that might have to be made?

We most definitely have a fraud and America destroying illegitimate resident in the White House. He, his entire staff, all Democrats and RINO'S are not only not following our beloved Constitution, but they are ignoring it and eroding it. They are definitely following Saul Alinsky rules for Socialism with the help of Obama, Rice, Soros and many others. It would be wishful thinking that we would have enough good and honorable military people left that are willing to go in and arrest under military law all these domestic enemies including the two illegitimate frauds at the top, recipients of a rigged and stolen election !!! (That no one wants to seek the truth about!) At least 75+ million people know the truth. Hope that number drastically increases, as it will be in the end We the People who will have to take our country back before it is too late. Hopefully there are current and former military that will help save America from the many domestic enemies willing to destroy it for their warped liberal agenda to fundamentally transform are great ( or once great) United States of America- land of the free because of the brave!

    Governor Huckabee,
I do consider you a very wise man and a student of the United States Constitution. I would think that we have come to a time in this country where the people have the right and the duty to stop supporting this completely inefficient and unruly government.
These people in our Federal government and in many of our states elected officials have completely ignored the wishes of the governed and, in the case of many of the states, have decided not to follow the Constitution by passing a Convention of States bill to allow the people to put term limits on these unruly and un American arrogant would be rulers in Congress and most of the agencies that feel they answer to Congress, the President and the big business loud mouths that support their high and mighty life style.
It's time to cut them down and send them packing. And money is the only thing they understand. The citizens don't seem to grasp the fact that their Representative and /or Senator is not the cure, but the problem. We have to cut off their funds and make them tow the line .

Shalom Gov. Huckabee, thank you for your story about Kellogg’s new cereal. I have a DRIP account with Kellogg’s from which I will now be seeking to fully divest. I haven’t decided where to redirect that money. Should I donate it, or reinvest in another company that doesn’t scorn my values? (If there is such a company anymore.) Any suggestions? In other news, my husband & I visited Israel 3 yrs ago & saw the olive tree you planted at Yardenit. It was the most memorable vacation we ever took and I hope I can go back again.

It is obvious why President Donald Trump motto WE WAS ROBBED should be easy to accept. President Joseph Biden said he was a moderate and easily beat Socialist FIDEL LOVER Bernie Sanders in the south because of his claim. But President Joseph Biden everyone now knows is ALL IN on Saul Alinsky's HOW TO CREATE A SOCIALIST STATE

Mike: I find it confusing that we elect people to govern us which includes protecting us. They swear an oath to do that. Instead, they open borders to drug cartels, release rapists and murderers into our neighborhoods, and indoctrinate our children to hate America. How can they hold their offices and at the same time try to eviscerate the Constitution they swore to follow? Shouldn't they be fired for trying to take our guns and stifle free speech? Those are both elements of our constitution. The second they attempt to abort the constitution, they should be sent to jail for breaking the very rules they expect you and me to follow. If we were all to act as they do there would be no USA. I would love to hear your opinion on how they are able to pull this off with impunity. We are not a country observing the rule of law. Can you raise our voices from your pulpit? jack

the number of people in the US that currently have coronavirus is about 4,167,195.....if you look at www.worldmeters.info/coronavirus/country/us....the number that are diagnosed less the # deaths and recovered is over 6,000,000 but if you look at the list below, there are many states that don't report the # recovered, so I estimate that 2,189,611 of those states are recovered. Why is the government not reporting accurately?

In my poor estimation, that which Biden is doing or not doing is designed to cause enough unrest in the United States to eventually give Biden the right to declare Marshall Law and prevent future elections.

Obviously the Dems cheating Math skills were far superior to the GOP's....look at the nut sitting in the Oval Office. Should not have been and I still contend that the former Senator who took every opportunity to praise the man that put him where he was as VP was the cause of it all. Insurrection? ..yeah, seems strange that all the guards were prepared and opened the doors. No, Mike, not enough credit was given to those of us who kept saying the election was rigged and although I blame the people like Soros who can buy anyone with no morals and Congress is full of those people...I still believe Pence was part & parcel to the entire sham. Why else did he have the letter composed and delivered to Pelosi/Schumer/Mitchy-poo prior to President Trump giving his address? We've had rotten Congressmen and women in the past..but this year was one of the worst I've witnessed & although I've been around 88 years, I have had enough good sense to know when to get out of the swamp (was demo voter until Regan made good sense!) but this crap that's going on even the retired generals want to live and hope to goodness that someone is listening to what their experience (all but Mattis, of course) has shown them. Pray and pray some more. I do it several times a day and pray many other are following suit!! God bless you and yours for advocating the same.

If schools and employees are mandating the vaccine, they are not only violating someone's civil rights by mandating an experimental vaccine that was supposed to be "for emergency use only" but they are violating the Nuremberg trials. Please look up the doctors who are not that happy, to put it mildly, about the vaccine which is not really a vaccine by Moderna's own literature. They don't have it up anymore.

Could it be that those "supposed" President Trump haters calling themselves "Republicans" are, and always were, actually Democrats dressed up as sheep (Republicans) like those who stormed the capital January 6th very openly trying to appear as Trump supporters by showing Trump reelection paraphernalia while they were very obviously doing anti-Trump (anti-constitution, anti-law, anti-moral and anti-peaceful) destruction usurping authority and bringing false witness against a freedom and peace loving majority of the American people?
