Thanks for all the responses to Monday’s “How Obama Undermined the Incoming President,” which examined an excerpt from Andrew C. McCarthy’s new book BALL OF COLLUSION. In breaking news Monday evening, Inspector General Michael Horowitz’s investigation into the FBI’s abuse of the FISA law in its “Trump/Russia” probe is now complete, so McCarthy’s book will make great reading until we see the report, likely a couple of weeks from now.

Along with some great reader comments, we’ve also received a few sharp questions (besides the expected and understandable “when are all these traitors going to prison??”). Here are a few examples...

Christians persecuted

By Mike Huckabee

This is a story that I’ve been beating the drum over for a long time, and I’m glad to see it’s finally getting some attention, hopefully, followed by action.  It’s a report shared by the American Center for Law and Justice, showing that Christianity is “by far the most widely persecuted religion in the world,” that violence and oppression against Christians is worsening, and that in some regions of the world, the situation faced by Christians is approaching the UN’s definition of genocide.  There are some parts of the world that used to be heavily Christian and now, it is virtually extinct (or its followers are.)

Read the link for more details, but I warn you, it’s shocking, it will make you sad, and it will make you angry.  But I pray it will make you spread the word and tell our leaders to demand action from nations that look to the US for aid and trade but fail to stop the assault on Christians within their own borders.

Antifa's roots

By Mike Huckabee

I’ve been chronicling the rising violence and fascist tactics of the oxymoronically named leftist group “Antifa” for several years, and wondering how bad it would get before authorities finally took action against these anti-American, anti-free speech thugs. At long last, President Trump said that his Administration is “seriously considering” branding Antifa as a domestic terrorist group.  That sparked a lot of “OUTRAGE” among the group’s leftist apologists in the media who apparently see nothing wrong with using violence, death threats, riots, doxing and intimidation to try to silence other viewpoints, as long as the viewpoints silenced are ones they don’t agree with.

But their caterwauling should not in any way discourage the government from taking justified and long-overdue action.  I suspect that many members of Antifa are really just playing “warrior,” and when they learn that there are real, permanent consequences to their actions, and that they face the possibility of being arrested and having their masks yanked off their cowardly faces for mug shots that will publicly identify and dog them for the rest of their lives, they might think twice before threatening violence to rob others of their free speech rights.  A few examples…

At this link is an excellent op-ed by Greg Young at Western Journal, connecting Antifa to a general rise in authoritarian censorship and oppression worldwide, from American college campuses to Canada to China and Hong Kong.

Young Americans turn towards socialism

By Mike Huckabee

There’s a frightening new survey out showing that many young people have turned away from patriotism and toward socialism. They gather at Starbucks to use the free wi-fi so that they can log onto Facebook, Twitter and Instagram on their iPhones and complain about how capitalism has never done anything for them.

https://www.foxnews.com/media/hannity-on-patriotism-survey-younger-americans-turning-toward-socialism

I would hope that young people who claim to be enamored of socialism will take a hard look at the tactics of Antifa and other socialist strong-arm brigades worldwide.  Ask yourselves, if socialism creates such a utopia for the common people, why do all socialist regimes have to employ violent goon squads to keep the “common people” from leaving, rising up against them, or even saying what they’re really thinking about socialism?

And for those young people who can only communicate in memes, try this:

I wanted to make sure you also read this comment:

If you listen to the mainstream media coverage of President Trump at the G7 summit (and why would you do that; it’s like expecting your dog to give an honest assessment of cats), you’d think that President Trump just tried to make the whole thing about him, and was so gauche that – Egads! – he even skipped the meeting on “climate change!”

For a different view, check out Stewart Varney’s assessment:

https://www.westernjournal.com/ct/fox-news-stuart-varney-tells-trump-triumphed-g-7-conference/

Varney says that Trump made the G7 summit about America, not about the fashionable concerns of other national leaders who think they can control the weather when they can’t even control their own borders and are paying people to borrow their currency.  Trump used the summit to work on major trade deals with allies like Japan and Great Britain, which are not only good for them and for America, but they’ll put more pressure on China to come to the table.

Trump made the G7 summit about taking care of business, not about preening for the cameras to virtue-signal about various PC causes.  Besides, if these leaders really want to do something to show their concern about climate change, I’m sure there will soon be another weekend conference on reducing CO2 at some five-star resort that they can all fly off to on private jets.

Note to the people who format the newsletter. The facebook, twitter etc on the left side of the page overlap onto the content. It is just one letter but it makes reading more difficult. Likewise the advertisement for the next article in the bottom right corner. This one overlaps content by about 3/4 inch on my computer and it definitely makes reading more difficult. I have no complaints about advertising or for the sponsored links (click bait). I know you have to pay for the newsletter. My only complaint is about things that overlap the content.

Regarding -Young Americans turn towards Socialism.
Why is the youth of our country embracing Socialism? I wondered about this until I spoke to several College students. They appeared to be intelligent products out of middle class America and feel they have been exploited. Students of wealthy and the poor are subsidized in their efforts to obtain an education by their parents and the government, while middle class students are hung out to dry. Middle class students subject themselves to the only avenue to an education with student loans . These loans amount to nothing more than Usury amounting to 7% interest rates, as well as severe repayment options. This is a repeat of the "Indentured Slaves" introduced to the early Georgia Colony, by the British. Colleges with many millions in Endowments are charging enormous Tuitions while Loan companies lurk on the side as economic predators. These colleges and loan companies are sheltered by congress in this deceitful scam. Students are embracing the only solution offered to them is Socialism.
I am a product of the United States governments Korean War GI Bill that made an investment in me and thousands of other Veterans. How well that investment paid off. Capitalism thrives on investment, why not in our students?

Mike, as a fellow believer, I know that you are well-versed (no pun intended) in the Scriptures. I have been reading through John MacArthur's sermons on Matthew 5 and have been convicted of the fact that ALL Christians will suffer for their faith. "Blessed are you when others revile you and persecute you and utter all kinds of evil against you falsely on my account. Rejoice and be glad, for your reward is great in heaven, for so they persecuted the prophets who were before you."
This verity does not excuse the heinous crimes and abuses that have been heaped on believers, but it a fact that some of may be killed for our faith. If that is my lot, I pray that I would be faithful to the end.
