Over the past few days, a few of the Strzok-Page texts from the curious “gap period” of December, 2016, to May, 2017, have trickled out.  That was the time covering the Trump transition and the first several months of his administration (including then-FBI Director James Comey’s signing of the third FISA renewal on Carter Page), when leaks were wildly rampant.  And now we understand why they were.  We know from the texts that former FBI counterintelligence official Peter Strzok and his paramour Lisa Page, who was then the legal assistant to Andrew “Andy’s office” McCabe, were strategically leaking to the media.  (McCabe is alleged to have been doing so as well.)  This, quite obviously, was “the media leak strategy” coordinated with the DOJ.  They were happy that the story they wanted picked up –- the one about Trump campaign associate Carter Page being put under surveillance for having suspicious contacts with RUSSIANS!! --- was picked up.

On April 11, the Washington Post published their story confirming the FISA warrant on Carter Page, which, like all FISA warrants, was supposed to be kept secret.  The texts between Strzok and Lisa Page are evidence that the FBI leaked this highly classified information to the Washington Post.  We even learn that the New York Times was in a huff over not getting the scoop.  Of course, we know the “journalists” at either paper would eagerly run with whatever they got from these two anti-Trumpers.

As Sara A. Carter reports, Carter Page called this “the biggest charade he has ever seen.”  He’s stunned-but-not-surprised that the FBI went this far with the story, which we can see was manufactured as no charge has ever been made against him.

In an appearance Wednesday morning on FOX News, I strongly supported North Carolina Rep. Mark Meadows in his effort to get the rest of these texts, saying I felt like going on the air wearing a T-shirt that said “I’M WITH MEADOWS.”  (Maybe he’ll get me one.)  I know Mark personally and can say he’s an honest, honorable man who is just trying to get to the truth while being stonewalled at every turn.  As long and hard as the FBI has been trying to hide the texts, there’s no telling what they reveal.  We already know the powers of the FBI and DOJ –- and apparently even the CIA –- were weaponized for political purposes, and it’s hard to know what could be worse than that.  Must be really bad.

The whole system of checks and balances has been turned on its head, as has the concept of equal justice under the law, with the President’s hands essentially tied by lawyers and Congress fighting to fulfill its constitutional duty.  Hard to believe the FBI was actually created by Congress, but it was, and Congress is supposed to have oversight.  If this were a science fiction movie, the FBI would be the robot monster that took control of its inventor.

As it stands now, we’re still being lied to at the highest levels of law enforcement, and it has to stop for our system of government to continue.  That’s how serious this is.

Meadows returned to Wednesday’s “Hannity,” along with Ohio Rep. Jim Jordan, to condemn the “media leak strategy” as exactly what they had surmised.  He said that from what he has seen, there are numerous documents that support the allegation that Strzok and Page cultivated ongoing relationships with multiple reporters whom they were feeding information that supported their chosen narrative.  “They are denying it,” Meadows said, “when we have the proof that would suggest otherwise.”

Jordan focused on the FISA applications --- not just what was in them, but, perhaps even more importantly, what was left out to deceive the court.  He said there are also official “302” reports from Bruce Ohr to the FBI following each contact he had with Christopher Steele and/or Glenn Simpson.  (There ARE???)  All of this has got to come out.

Sara Carter made a stellar point earlier on the show --- that if the FBI was leaking information to the New York Times and the Washington Post, they really don’t have any room to talk about “secrecy.”  I would go farther and say they have made “secrecy” a joke.  When President Trump declassifies all this material and gets the reaction we all know is coming, I hope that will be his response.

It’s long past time when we the American people should get to see all the pertinent documents, including the exculpatory evidence included in the “dossier” that was withheld from the FISA court.  Apparently, they were all involved in leaking false information (“fake news!”) to damage Donald Trump, both before and after his election, and his associates, with the goal of getting rid of Trump.  And we may finally be getting down to the source, the instigator, of this abuse of power.  If FOX News analyst Gregg Jarrett is correct, here’s how the song goes:

Oh, we’ve got trouble, my friend...right here in DC!  With a capital “T” and that rhymes with “B” and that stands for “Brennan”!

There will be much more to say about the ex-CIA director later on.  The attempt by all these agencies to undo the results of the election reflects, in Jarrett’s words, “a cesspool of corruption.”  If that’s what they did, and it certainly seems to be the case, then abuse of power, obstruction of justice and perjury are just a few of the crimes that have been committed.  It’s time to roll out the red carpet at the jail house.

Lee Smith at the Sara A. Carter website says his sources tell him that the President is currently reviewing the matter of declassifying all the materials and that he will do this as soon as possible.  (Of course, the hurricane bearing down on the East Coast takes precedence right now over everything.)  At this point, I can see how Trump might feel more strongly compelled to act.  After all, now that he knows how unconcerned Strzok and Page were about “secrecy,” it probably doesn’t matter all that much to him, either.

Interestingly, Smith spoke with Michael Doran, a senior official in the George W. Bush White House, and Doran told him the coordinated effort to derail Trump was a strategy that was adapted from Obama’s 2015 effort to sell the Iran deal.  Other officials he spoke with said the same thing.  Recall that Ben Rhodes bragged to the New York Times in 2016 about creating an “echo chamber” that “helped retail the administration’s narrative.”  (By the way, from now on, watch out for anyone who uses the word “retail” as a verb.)  Doran said, “That same configuration –- the press, political operatives, newly minted experts, social media validators –- was repurposed to target Trump, his campaign, transition team, then the Presidency.  He said the echo chamber’s primary instrument in attacking the current White House “is the Russia collusion narrative.”

In other words, those of you who have spent the past couple of years yelling, “Russia, Russia, Russia!” are just a bunch of dupes.  Many of you are willing dupes, because you hate Donald Trump and will hold fast to anything you think might destroy him, but you are dupes all the same, little puppets on strings being jerked around by elitists such as Ben Rhodes, who thinks of you as nothing more than useful idiots.

There’s much more information at the link.  According to Smith’s sources, it was the leaking of highly classified material that led to the firing (and, I would assume, legal nightmare) of national security advisor Michael Flynn and also THE RECUSAL OF ATTORNEY GENERAL JEFF SESSIONS.  You know I’ve always said that when something doesn’t make sense, it means there’s some information missing.  The information is coming, and I think all this is about to make a lot more sense.

    Verbing weirds language.

Look where the initial traps were set and the initial jurisdiction. CIA not FBI. Brennan of course.

    Mike,
I strongly agree with your previous comment that a coup is taking place orchestrated by the deep state and their mindless minions. These minions have escalated words to violence. At what point will they stop? Remember JFK.
Jeff Sessions' combined silence and inaction begs the question of his complicity.
I am a refugee from WWII. I, therefore, love this country with the knowledge that it's freedoms are in present peril.
Thank you for being part of the beacon on a hill.

Now that more is coming out--when the heck are people going to be removed from say, the FBI, the DOJ, the meuller council, and when are hilary and obama going to be charged with anything? It's important that the citizens are getting to be aware of this info. Unless, of course, those who get all their info from msm who probably are only reporting on Trump being responsible for all natural disasters (and arson fires) and how he hasn't done anything about hurricane relief--starting on a couple of days before the hurricane hit land. But, unless the guilty parties are charged and convicted, it's kind of an empty balloon.

I read a report when a high ranking officer at the Pentagon has resigned--actually submitted his resignition when Bannon lost his security clearance. I guess people don't check anything before they go off on a tangent--it was said "unprecedented" move by President Trump to remove security clearance--when there have been many who have theirs. Then again, maybe the person who wrote that used Google as their source to "google" and that information isn't available with them.

As for the Muslim council wanting Rev Graham banned from the UK--they cite because he won't accept homosexuality, and in the same breath that he won't accept Islam. Uhmmm.....maybe I'm missing something, but doesn't the muslim/islam religion kind of kill homosexuals in Islamic countries? Has there been an historic change that they now accept homosexuality? If so, I sure missed that news story.

I do hope Trump can get as many documents declassified ASAP. There is truly a cesspool of corruption involving our formally most trusted institutions, the FBI, DOJ, CIA, in particular. The Trump haters who are conspiring against him, ALL OF THEM, should be tried for treason...read the definition. They want to, and loudly proclaim their efforts to impeach,or overthrow his administration, so should all these bad actors in high government positions, not to necessarily hang them, but prison might give them opportunity to study the difference in right and wrong, a lesson they clearly never absorbed.
