This week, I expressed a strong opinion that President Trump should under no circumstances sit down with Robert Mueller for questioning.  That view still stands.  And after seeing the President’s lawyers making energized TV appearances on FOX News Wednesday night, I feel more confident that they really do have his back and that they’re perfectly aware the special counsel doesn’t have a case –- that it’s bogus, a house of cards resting on a “dossier” that we now know was unverified politically-motivated garbage used fraudulently to get a warrant to spy on an American citizen and, by extension, Trump –- and that Mueller has no authority to compel Trump to testify.  They seem revitalized.  They know the law and the Constitution are on their side.

And they have had enough of this.

In the name of transparency, the President and his legal team were completely responsive to the special counsel’s request for documents and have supplied about 1.5 million of them.  Mueller already knows EVERYTHING there is to know about Trump’s campaign, much more than Trump himself does.  The special counsel knows every email and text sent to or from everyone connected to the campaign, and I wouldn’t be surprised if he knew all the contacts made by the contacts of the contacts.  He knows the date, time and duration of every meeting and has all the notes from all the meetings.  He has hours and hours of testimony.  He has detailed campaign financial records, phone records, travel records.  He probably knows what everybody ordered for their room service breakfast at every hotel and what movies they paid to see in their rooms.  Trump can’t possibly be responsive to questions in a way that tells him anything he doesn't already know.  The only reason Mueller has for questioning him is to set him up for a perjury trap.

And that's easy!  If they ask him about the Trump Tower meeting --- the purpose of the meeting, and whether or not he knew about it in advance --- there’s nothing he can say that doesn’t contradict what someone else (or he) has said at some point.  So Mueller can choose not to believe him, even if his testimony is truthful.  That appears to have been the sort of thing that happened to Michael Flynn.

“My thoughts, and my view of the Constitution, is they don’t have the right to ask any of these questions,” said Jay Sekulow in Wednesday’s appearance with Laura Ingraham. “...So I can assure you this tonight:  this legal team is not walking this President into a perjury trap --- not going to happen.  If there’s any type of interview, whether it’s written or otherwise, it will be the appropriate type of response...This investigation, from its outset---who would allow that, in light of everything that’s transpired and continues to transpire?”

“Needless to say, we didn’t accept their offer.”

Asked about the likelihood of the President getting two to three hours of fair questioning, given what we’ve just learned about the roles played by Bruce Ohr, Christopher Steele and Fusion GPS, Sekulow said he was “not inclined to believe...that there is such a thing as a fair shake.”  Are they ready to go to court if they have to?  “You bet.”  It’s to protect not just this President, but the Presidency itself.  “That’s what’s at stake here.”

Rudy Giuliani was on fire in an appearance on Sean Hannity’s show:  “...This is a totally illegitimate investigation,” he said.  It was based on “the biggest illegality so far, the biggest collusion so far,” which was the dossier paid for by Hillary Clinton and the DNC.  “Completely made up...and now we have Mueller, who doesn’t seem to care that he’s sitting on top of a totally illegitimate investigation.”

“I’ve never been involved in an investigation, on either side, that was more illegitimate than this one –- OBVIOUSLY more illegitimate.”  He said aloud what we all know is true:  this is a case that was tainted by having people who hated Trump in positions of power.  Like Sekulow, he said there’s nothing left for Trump to answer that they don’t already know.  “Stop the nonsense, ‘cause you don’t have a case.”

He went further, to make a prediction that the case is going to “blow up on them.  There’s a lot more to what they did that nobody knows about yet –- a lot more to the obstruction of justice, to the collusion, to the fake dossier, trying to bring Steele back in after he was completely discredited.  And Mueller is gonna have a lot to answer for.”

“The investigation here has to be of the investigators, because we can’t let this happen again in American history.  We may not have a President as strong as President Trump.  A lesser President could’ve really been cracked by this.”

“I believe that when this plays out over the next year or two, it’s not gonna be about President Trump; that’s gonna get over with.  It’s gonna be about all the things THEY did.”

Gosh, I wonder why Trump’s team is suddenly feeling so buoyant and talking so tough.  Could it be because of the new evidence involving Bruce Ohr that shows COLLUSION among Hillary and the DNC, and the FBI, and the Justice Department, and Fusion GPS, and Christopher Steele, and...quite possibly...even the special counsel?

The only way that Mueller can stay out of jail (in spit of Trey Gowdy's support to the contrary) is for Mueller to keep the special counsel open until Trump finishes both terms 6 years from now. Otherwise, Mueller and the other "perpetrators" will go to jail and it will never happen again... (until next time). RAB

Mueller should be Arrested and in jail for Conspiracy instead of Investigating Anyone. It should be a Conspiracy to be trying to Take Down a duly Elected President of the United States! Why doesn't anyone Point This Out. Using the "Free Speech" Amendment at that to do it! This is the Worst! Why can't all those in Congress see that? Has the Media Promoted Collusion Too Much for them to see, which has blinded them to that fact? Have the Democrats in Congress Hollered Collusion so much that they can't think what it really is? It is Flagrant Conspiracy hidden with Collusion as the Label, Promoted by Hillary and the Democrats that go along with it, thinking it is Collusion, Like Hillary, Mueller, and the Democrat Leadership, as well as the Deep State want them to think! It is a Conspiracy of the worst kind, using the Russia Hacking Label to cover it up! Using Russia Hacking, which probably was done anyway, to cover up the Conspiracy is the Perfect Cover!

Mike, I was looking for my comment, and got this again. How come no one is looking at this Mueller Investigation as a Conspiracy to take down the President, which is illegal, rather than the Collusion, which is not Illegal, however? Is it because the Fake News Media is using Collusion so good to cover it up? This calling it Collusion, rather than Conspiracy, which is really is, is what is making Fake News Media Fake. President Trump should have already called them out on this. Maybe he is waiting for someone to point this out, rather than him doing it? Could you call them out on this, this being a Conspiracy, which really is Illegal, rather than the Collusion, which is not Illegal? For the Democrats and others to take down the President in this way, is bad, very bad. This whole thing is a Conspiracy -by Definition of Conspiracy!

Trump's Lawyers should look at Mueller's Investigation as a Conspiracy to take down the President. Mueller and all involved should be Charged with Conspiracy, which is Illegal according to Judge Napolitano, but neither he nor anybody is looking at the thing that way! It is a Flagrant Conspiracy that the News and all others are Promoting Collusion on to cover up the Conspiracy! Using the "Free Speech" Amendment to Promote a Conspiracy is Very Bad! Using Collusion to cover up the Conspiracy by the News, the Fake News, is the Worst!

And, through Steele, it also included a Russian Oligarch.

That said, how do you get any traction out of the DOJ when Jeff Sessions is the guiltiest among all of them? He's the guy who gave them (the coup leaders) free reign and continues to block and tackle for them on both fronts. 1) permitting the BS against Trump and 2) refusing any and all calls to investigate the coup leaders (Obama, Lynch, Clinton, Rice, Comey, Brennan, Rosenstein, Mueller, etc).

And what about the Clinton email and Foundation investigations? Where are those?

And how do you clean up the FBI with Wray in charge, who also seems to be covering for the coup members?

Still waiting for someone, anyone, to give a logical answer as to how POTUS moves Sessions out of the way. Frankly, at this point, Sessions needs to be prosecuted too, for obstruction of justice. Someone explain how that works.

I am NOT a lawyer. That being said I keep wondering if there is a legal doctrine that would apply to this entire special counsel which is similar to the fruit of the poisonous tree doctrine. The entire thing is a huge fiasco. President Trump even talking to them would only serve to add validity to something that is invalid.

Mueller's corruption, as well as that of numerous DeepStaters will never see the light of day as long as Jeff Sessions remains AG. And, for whatever reason, the DeepState seems to recognize that they are as safe as they would have been had Hillary been elected.

Well past time to send Sessions back to Alabama.

If Trump agreed to an interview with Mueller, he would probably be asked a gotcha question like, “Do you beat your wife often?”

Gov. No way should Pres Trump ever talk to Mueller trust him as far as I can throw him . No need to this whole Russia is going to be seen as a scam per Hillary and the FBI group and others. Now Manafort doing business like so many other thousands is being crushed and see more in with Republicans little by little are going to be attacked. Russia did not interfere with voting at all. Only other thing I can recall is the DNC message given out on Hillary taking down Sen Bernie ? Whole the Russians made me do it is such bull Hockey now. We are so tired of the taking down this country . These people out being nasty to any Republican they can find in whatever way they choose . This is not freedom of speech this is down right being nasty and disgusting as they can possibly be and set up to do this for attention by the media . Sad commentary on who we are and I am to put up with these people should they win again. I voted for Pres Obama the last time . Hillary not even for garbage collector and no Russian comments or so called interference or any man my husband has been gone for years could have made me vote for her. Sad to say on why I see he has fooled around ask Jennifer Flowers. Hear over and over Monica that was no affair. She has nothing to be upset about anymore she was in love with him. He was in heat. Mueller who he is and who he picked on his committee is not to be trusted . Time to end this and try to get our security people to stop future Russian attacks and China and anyone else.

First time Mueller showed his face and I looked him up, I thought that is strange he seems to have failed at opportunities many times and had a relationship with Russia . Why did Obama/Brotherhood pick a failure? Then I noted it was common for them to pick up failures to give them a chance at fame. Desperate people try hard when narcissism is their god.
Along came General Flynn and the total attempt of assassination of character , for exactly what Mueller had done. I thought this is not an attempt at Flynn it is an out and out act of terrorism against Trump and the Nation. Attempting to remove the strength of a great president does not in any way change the Great Strength of the Man. So all I have witnessed as an ordinary citizen has been Mueller attempting as do the democrats trying to destroy the foundation of support for Our Leader. It has been ugly and hideous to watch Mueller in all reality a puppet preform hideous acts against Our Country, mean while piling up money and more money from the tax payers in mysterious investments So much like Obama accrued wealth just smaller. Now we have to contend with Manaport being placed in solitaire, god only knows what hideous state of art technology used to make him do as they commanded Was happy to see it was not an Obama judge and that is a hope. There is nothing that mueller holds sacred of Us the People Our Country Our government. What needs to be done to give strength to the people is he needs to be handcuffed and taken away for he did as he accuses. Nice if the governing power looked once again at the Smith -Mundt Act and took off Obama slithers on it. Would solve so much

It is about time. I have said for a long time that, Robert Mueller, should be investigated. After all, this man is not as squeaky clean so many think he is. He was in the uranium deal with Hillary for starters. Also, I don't know for sure if it is true, but rumor has been for a long time that he had a 13 year affair with Nancy Pelosi. His business, but, they have tried to get President Trump on less with the hooker, which would have been none of their business. He wasn't president if he was guilty of that, and who knows if he was.

By the way, when I clicked on "leave a comment", it had another woman's name and gmail. I just deleted hers and put mine in. I know how it is to have your name out there. Someone in CA has been trying to get into my facebook for days. Maybe a leftist I didn't agree with. Who knows. I don't know anyone in CA.

Have said it from day one, Mueller is crooked. He is not this upstanding man all those people say he is. He needs the President to go down so he won't. He and a lot of other people during the Obama era were all conniving against America herself. Actually, I don't know if he knows he was part of the plan because he drank the Obama Kool aide. This is more interesting than a novel. You can't right fiction as good as real life but it is much more sad and America is paying the price. Wish it was fiction.

I just gave my opinion about President Trump not testifying to mueller. Now I just read that Guiliani said there’s a fifty fifty chance that the President will testify. Is he really on President Trumps side or is he one of the Rinos? I think President Trump should fire him.

I took time today to read all the comments from my fellow Americans. I said a prayer of thanks to our God for all who have had the courage to speak out and say enough is enough. Mueller and the whole group of men and women involved show us their lack of morality and love for their fellow men and women. The seven deadly sins are evident in their actions. Their fall is coming. There will be consequences for their actions. I believe Americans who have been silent for so long realize our country and Democratic life is at stake. We must all learn from history and protect our Constitution, our religious liberty, law, and the common good. Lets prayer together.

I think they ( mueller and team) are starting to run scared. The more they try to get the President for collusion, the more they involve themselves. The President cannot talk to mueller. mueller will try anything to save his reputation. The Presidents lawyers have to make sure this doesn’t happen. I worry about Guiliani, he puts his foot into his mouth to many times.

Gov. Huckabee, only pride in Pres. Trump will try to convince he is so accomplished that HE alone, can outsmart or out negotiate with Mr. Mueller. That would be tantamount to a deal with the devil himself. No way should the POTUS be allowed to commit the biggest blunder of his life. Only pride in his self would instigate that very stupid decision.

Remember Proverbs tell us "Pride goes before DESTRUCTION and a haughty attitude before a fall." Some people misquote that passage but that is the exact wording of it and Pride also caused the King of Babylon to spend 7 long years eating grass with the cattle because of his pride. Danial 4:16 KJV: Let his heart be changed from man's, and let a beast's heart be given unto him; and let seven times pass over him." All because of man's PRIDE in HIS own self.

President Trump is a very intelligent man. Included in his composition is the strength of his convictions and will. Although he won't backdown from a fight, Mueller's interview is not a fight, it's a trap. As in all battles the one with the best strategy is the winner. Please Mr. President don't view this as a legitimate contest between you and Mueller. It is a setup, a trap, a strategy that will make you look foolish. Don't let him or anyone else deceive you. By you preventing this FAKE INTERVIEW, you beat him at his own game. Be smart, you have my support and admiration for what you are doing for our country. Please don't let them remove you in their corrupt interview plot. He is wringing his hands because this is his only trick left to make a fool of you. You're the MAN, demonstrate that intellect beats deceit. It is a conniving scheme and I know you will not fall for it. As with N. Korea and Russia, strive for compromise but TRUST NO ONE.

Not a day goes by without hearing about the Russian meddling in our 2016 election. I am still baffled by exacting what this means. Can someone give a coherent clear explanation of exactly what Russian meddling entails?
