Something terribly wrong with this news cast. It would not let me read even one article! I try to read rash one that you publish, do this was very distrubing.. All it was would do was let me leave a comment, so that is what I am doing!
I did watch all of the debates and I am aware of the candidates who defended S.S. And I did vote for Mike Huckabee in the primary and Donald Trump in the general election. And I will vote the same way again!
Dear Gov. Mike,
In the past, I have said the same thing to people about congress having stolen and misused our S.S. funds, and I have been challenged on that point. This is something that has just been common knowledge; and, I haven't been able to find anything to back that up by anything definitive on the Internet. Can you provide any citations for that point?
I always felt it was an insult to seniors to say that Social Security was a Entitlement. Yes we all paid into it and it was stolen by the government because it was not kept separate from the coffers.
They should be responsible to refund the Social Security plus interest to all the Americans that paid into Social Security.
Also, they need to change the rules: If my husband dies I get his Social Security but I loose mine. We both worked and paid into Social Security. I should get both my husband's and mine.

Our forefathers gave the people the power . All we have to do is put it on the ballot as a item to be voted on by the people. If it is the will of the people to make the elected contribute into social security it shall be done.
I believe that Justus Kennedy of the Supreme Court stated before about putting abortion on the ballot due to it appearing before the court all the time.

I say kick them out of office and stop their pension the same day. We are not allowed the luxury of the pay checks they get, and they want to take everything we have, I say out with the cheaters, that already take our tax money day in day out .

There are WAY too many elderly living off of Social Security alone. What do the esteemed people in Washington propose to do with these precious citizens when they have nothing?
The jerks in Washington need to realize that they are paid from the people in this country and start showing some respect and gratitude instead of the attitude of entitlement that they exude.
I say and would vote for them all to lose their pension now! Not everyone has a pension to draw from when they retire, so make these jerks learn to live off of what they can scrounge together like everyone else!! Take away any insurance they have and make it so that they have to try to exist off of Social Security and Medicare like all of the citizens of this great country.
Since the government has stolen what I paid into social security, I'm having to go back to work and social security is still being taken out! I think that person over 66 and working should not have social security held out of their pay checks!!! I totally agree. Take their pension even if they do not touch my S.S. If they do not get a pension they will not make being an elected official a life long career!
Yes,I agree. No pensions for Congress or senators. They don't need to serve more than 2 or 4 terms.

I have been saying the same thing for years. I have been advising young people to save as much money as they can so they can retire without depending on Social Security.

I agree with you ...mostly. I think some of the non- retirement benefits need to be restructured. There are cases, not a few, where someone works under the table, thus not contributing to social security, and then gets widowed or injured and then takes SS for decades. I know personally of cases where people have received 20or30 times , or more, out what they have put in. In my opinion, That needs to change !!!

I totally agree. Why are they in charge of their own wages and health care and retirement ? That is a ridiculously dangerous situation. This is what happened when I worked in the Court, we were trying to keep our pay at a reasonable amount and we gave up some benefits in order to get a very small raise. Then the board gave themselves a 10,000 dollar a year raise. Governments are all the same no matter how small......
Absolutely not. Social Security was paid for by our on the job payments. It is not an entitlement
though government has used it like their bank account. Another Socialist way of taking our dollars
and using for their own benefit. Government is corrupt & has been for a long time not for the people. Go get em, Mr, Huckabee.

OMGOSH!!! I've been saying things like this since foreverrrrrrr.....I say throw the bums out...they've been robbing the AMERICAN people blind without masks....who do they think they're obviously they think they're above the law bcz look at all of the atrocities they've committed. I totally agree Governor, they should belong to the same social security system that every one of us do...and...you are right saying they're being paid for jobs they don't even do except they've learned very well how to spend our money and make money while in the WH and I have heard that stealing is a crime but then again crime is what they obviously do the best....I have learned they care NOTHING FOR THE AMERICAN PEOPLE!!! They should be shamed every last one of them....I know I'm ashamed of them.
