Mattis was also fired by Obama.....

Mattis has his thoughts, I have mine. And I think my thoughts are a helluva lot better than his thoughts on President Trump. The President just doesn't 'speak' like Mattis thinks he should. With his obvious military education, you would think he had better thoughts than he's presenting.

Esper is dead wrong. We have people DYING IN THE STREETS!!!! Being disabled! Their lives ruined! Their businesses DESTROYED ! Looting. stealing. maiming innocent people. RELEASING ARRESTED PEOPLE? Abusing the police? Killing the police? Not supporting the police?? Get the National Guard- the military- whomever??? Somebody has to stop this !!! The people are unable to peacefully protest because Antifa and other groups have infiltrated the streets! STOP THIS NOW!!!

Exactly how is standing up to rioting and looting divisive? This crap has been going on since Obama; how do you put a stop to it? It certainly is not going to make a difference handing out hugs.

I do not understand why the President is considered divisive, with the exception of the mere “Democrats” versus “Republicans” ongoing divide. This is what I consider as the catalyst for the blatant hatred and vitriol between the two parties. The very moment the Democrats united in their strategy to resist, resist, when all of this began. Our President has had to be in “fight” mode the entire time he has been in office. This has been a horrific period in our nation’s history. Frankly, I have to give the Democrats credit...they are more united than our Republican Party; have stood together to use every opportunity to attack (and it has been every single day); and they, with the mainstream media’s total backing, have gotten away with their hypocrisy. They point fingers at the President for divisiveness when, in fact, they are primarily responsible for attacks on our political leaders, physical assaults on Trump supporters, and even the restaurants refusal of service to the aforementioned. I pray that we take back the House and do not end up losing the Senate where we have more seats to defend...regardless of who becomes President. I certainly think Joe Biden is not mentally capable for the presidency; however, he would be great for the Democrats, because things would go back to being status quo and he would be their puppet...which is what they like. Another area for which I give them credit, the resist, resist, resist; repeat, repeat, repeat of the same accusatory rhetoric has worn down many of the American people. Frankly, I could use a little less controversy...every single day, there is something new. I only occasionally watch the news now...just cannot listen to it anymore.

Us normal, non-milllionaire, non-in-your-face political talking head know that Mattis is a snake in the grass and an anti-Trump deep-stater who uses (abuses) his office to undermine and control others. He attempted to do this to President Trump, and he was fired for it. I am a career veteran of the Armed Forces, and I have never respected Mattis because I know his kind. He is in every military branch, federal agency and political office. You are wasting your time with repeatedly announcing Mattis' disdain towards our President. The feeling is mutual. But, President Trump has more class about it.

The President is 100% right. If the state Governors or city Mayors won't handle riots appropriately then the President should!

This is ludicrous! President Trump is trying to maintain PEACE! It's the rioters and looters (probably paid for by the DNC/Soros) who are wreaking havoc on this nation. I am, for one, sick to death of it, and I hope the President does send out the military to keep the peace. All other Presidents have sat on the seat of do- nothing and let it all happen, thinking that it will just work itself out. Well, it hasn't. Now is the time for action. Trump is not a Nazi. He is a true, red-blooded American man who works for free for the health and safety of this nation. People need to get behind him and stop with this stupidity. I am not making light of Mr. Floyd's murder. That truly was a travesty, but it is being handled, so the black community should recognize that these men did not get away with murder. Times have changed. And by the way, we haven't heard much about the Covid-19 since all of this has happened, have we? Did it just go away, or were the DNC's plans foiled and they had to create yet another tragedy? Mattis cited the Nazi slogan, divide and conquer. Well, he's a Democrat obviously, and he is true to form as whatever it is they accuse the President of, they are as guilty as sin themselves. This is all smoke and mirrors because this is an election year! They think we are stupid, but we are not. We know what is happening and we will vote President Trump back into office for another four years. Maybe he will then be able to get the swamp drained of Obama's shadow government players. God grant it.

I do not think that General Mattis should have said a word without checking with AG Barr who had the facts on the situation. The General was a nice PR guy but not "mad dog". Mattis was alive during Rodney King when the active duty were called in by G.H. Bush (forget the "not in my life time"). He did not have all the information. The Defense Secretary should have spoken to the president privately. This is simply BAD form and openly defiant of the Commander in Chief. I do not know if Secretary Esper has had any military service (I think all the defense secretaries should) but he will be real lucky to keep his job. I would can him.

Yours truly must take issue with both Mr. Espers and James Mattis. Peaceful protesting is one thing the rioting, assaulting, looting, and destruction of property must be dealt with. If it means bringing in the National Guard, or military then that is EXACTLY what needs to be done. Shame, shame, SHAME on both Mr. Espers and James Mattis!!!

And how else we can stop the destruction and killing of civilians? What solution do they have? I stand with POTUS.

military intervention is only needed when the protest turns to riot.
i know one of the officers who was in the middle of the riot in Salt Lake City last weekend.
the officers were in full riot gear in the heat; some of the officers were about to faint from dehydration because of the high daily temp. some of his fellow officers had bones broken from the rocks and bricks being thrown at them. Also, some of the 'protesters' were throwing bottles of urine. He said, 'and then the National Guard was called in. Thank God, because we were getting our butts handed to us.' Many of the rioters that were arrested were from other states.
That officer said to me that if it were a peaceful protest, he would have been marching along side them, carrying a sign, because he agreed that justice for the murder of Mr. Floyd needed to be done; but a violent, destructive riot was wrong.

Mad dog is mad he was removed from office. That's all. The president has the majority of Americans behind him. One poll states 58% agree with use of military force against rioters. The president isn't threatening to use military forced against peaceful protesters like the jackass on here commented. Get your facts straight there bucko.

All these people saying Trump isn't a good leader, Trump is this, Trump is that.. When was last time you gave a shit about America, when was the last time you went and donated your time to help the communities, when was the last time you brought food to homeless, when was the last time you guys did anything for us, and I'm not talking about your job or doing things to better your career. I'm talking you humbly helping Americans for no other reason than you want too.
