I think more emphasis should be put on why the children are there in the first place. Some might be old enough to think about a "better life" but how many are small, bewildered kids who have no idea? I think there should also be more emphasis on children who are there NOT with actual family members. We hear that from conservative sources--quoting government statistics--about the number of children who are there because they were sold to a stranger for that stranger to gain access to entering the US. I feel sorry for the kids. But I also think it is so important to keep them until their familial status can be determined, so they aren't released back to the strangers who are using them. As expected, schumer says, well, they cleaned things up yesterday because they knew we coming.

I appreciate Rep Phillips and this colleagues (on both sides) who are trying to get together for conversations about how to deal with the crisis. For all the hoopla about people going to (or saying they went) the border, and all the garbage about who is insulting whom--I know there are Republicans and Democrats who are working on this and other issues that matter to the citizens of the USA--as evidenced by those legislations that HAVE been passed--although msm isn't going to tell about any of these.

If the borders are so toxic, why do so many keep flocking to them? The United States is a "melting pot" yet, our only request is to do it legally, what is wrong about that? Yes, I do agree with Donald Trump, that if you do not like the policies & laws of our country, why do you continue to say? Where is the racism in this comment as it speaks to all people, not just the 4 whose real goal is playing the Racism card? Why do they continue to expect Special Privilege?
