As if there weren’t enough issues to mobilize voters on both sides in the upcoming election, Thursday’s news brought two more.

For Republicans, a vast caravan of Central Americans, up to 4,000 strong, is heading northward with the intention of crossing the US border illegally.  President Trump is threatening to send the military and close the border if Mexico doesn’t stop the caravan.  Trump says this is the result of Democrats stonewalling (ironically) all his efforts to impose control on America’s borders, and their intention to impose open borders, abolish ICE and repeal immigration laws if they are elected.

"Huckabee" preview

By Mike Huckabee

Join me this weekend for another terrific new edition of “Huckabee” on TBN!  I’ll welcome Tennessee Gov. Bill Haslam to tell us how his business experience has helped his state succeed (and maybe we’ll discuss a certain pop singer’s attempt to pick Tennessee’s next Senator.)  Jason Yates and Bishop Harry Jackson of will reveal the surprising amount of power Americans of faith could wield if they would only vote.  Pour a cup of coffee and lean back to learn about a Huck’s Hero who’s making the world a better place, one cup of Joe at a time.  I’ll also have commentaries on the week’s events, some crazy news “In Case You Missed It” and a visit to “Our Kind of Town.”  We’ll top it all off with Christian music superstar Michael W. Smith.  Now, that’s our kind of show!

Catch it tonight and Sunday at 8 and 11 EST (7 and 10 CST). To find your local TBN outlet and watch previous episodes online visit

Saudi Arabia:  Interrogation gone wrong

By Mike Huckabee

Saudi Arabia has admitted that Washington Post writer Jamal Khashoggi was killed in their consulate in Istanbul, and the Saudis say 18 Saudi suspects are in custody and intelligence officials have been fired.  The Saudis denied Turkish media reports that Khashoggi was tortured, killed and dismembered, claiming he died in a “fistfight” that broke out when the interrogation went wrong.  Frankly, that story smells fishier than a Long John Silver's after a three-day power failure.

You would think that this story couldn’t possibly get any crazier, but you'd be underestimating Democratic Rep. Joaquin Castro of Texas.  Castro floated the theory that Khashoggi’s killing was orchestrated by President Trump's son-in-law, Jared Kushner.  Castro cited no evidence, but claimed he’d seen "reporting to that effect" – if by that he means “an article based on unnamed sources that’s been completely debunked.”  Castro is now backing away from his earlier claim faster than a crab on pep pills.

Do you really want him running the House Intelligence committee?

By Mike Huckabee

Liberal cable news outlets’ favorite camera hog, Rep. Adam Schiff, attacked New Jersey Republican Rep. Tom MacArthur as an anti-Korean bigot for saying his Korean-American opponent is “not one of us.”  But there were just a few things Schiff got wrong:

1. MacArthur didn’t say that.  It was in an ad run by a PAC that he had no approval over.

2.  The line about the Democrat not being "one of us" referred to him being a Pelosi liberal and a DC insider, not his ethnic background.

3.  MacArthur has two adopted children from Korea.

At this writing, Schiff has yet to apologize, delete his widely-repeated tweet, or respond to requests for comment.  So I’ll comment for him:

If Democrats win back the House, this guy is going to be the head of the House Intelligence Committee.  If that doesn’t scare you into voting straight Republican, nothing will.

Medal of Honor ceremony

By Mike Huckabee

Retired Sgt. Major John Canley is 80 years old now, and during his 28-year career with the US Marine Corps, he exhibited more courage and heroism than most people could in five lifetimes.  He served in Vietnam; received the Purple Heart, the Navy Cross and two Bronze Stars; and on Wednesday at the White House, he became the 300th Marine to receive the Medal of Honor.

President Trump said Canley exhibited “unmatched bravery in one of the longest and bloodiest battles of the Vietnam War, the battle of Hue city…John raced straight into enemy fire over and over again, saving numerous American lives and defeating a large group of communist fighters. Despite sustaining serious injuries — very, very serious injuries — he continued to face down the enemy with no thought for his own safety.”  He described Canley as “larger than life,” adding that soldiers like Canley are why “America is the greatest force for peace, justice and freedom the world has ever known.”

I recount all this not only because a hero like Sgt. Major John Canley deserves the recognition and gratitude of all Americans, but because I want to make sure you hear about this, since it didn’t air on MSNBC.  You won’t believe what they chose to cover instead, but click the link to find out.
