DAILY BIBLE VERSE

I sought the Lord, and He heard me, and delivered me from all my fears.

Psalm 34:4

“Emergency” request filed

No sooner had federal Judge Terry Doughty issued an injunction ordering DC officials and federal agencies to end their “Orwellian” business of colluding with social media sites to censor protected free speech than the Biden DOJ filed an “emergency” request to stay the injunction.

They claimed it would cause “irreparable harm” to let Americans exercise their First Amendment rights and prevent the federal government from "working with social media companies on initiatives to prevent grave harm to the American people and our democratic processes." They added, "These immediate and ongoing harms to the Government outweigh any risk of injury to Plaintiffs if a stay is granted, and for the same reason, a stay is in the public interest.”

https://www.foxnews.com/politics/biden-admin-appeals-judges-order-limiting-contact-with-social-media-companies

I can’t think of a better example of the stunning arrogance, power madness and disregard for Constitutional rights of this Administration than to actually argue that it’s somehow in the public interest and protects our democratic processes to let DC bureaucrats deprive the public of their Constitutional right to free speech.

Fortunately, Judge Doughty wasn’t falling for this fascist word salad. In yet another hard smackdown, Doughty made it clear that the original order specifically excluded legally-authorized censorship of social media posts that might cause actual harm, such as spreading false election data or fomenting violence. As for the other censorship that the feds claim it’s vital they keep on doing, “the Defendants provide no argument that they are legally allowed to take such action. The Defendants are asking the Court to grant them relief to a Preliminary Injunction that only bars illegal conduct.”

In short, they’re claiming it would cause the nation irreparable harm if they’re not allowed to continue illegally violating citizens’ rights. Saner heads understand that it would cause irreparable harm if they are allowed to continue doing that. Let’s hope the next level of appeals court is as sane as Judge Doughty.

Telling the truth about Joe Biden

There seems to be some confusion among the liberal lapdog media on what they’re supposed to be doing to help Democrats win the White House in 2024. As noted yesterday, even sycophants as prominent as New York Times columnist Maureen Dowd are finally calling out the Bidens’ horrifying behavior toward their ostracized little granddaughter, Navy Joan Roberts (Biden.) There are also reports suddenly appearing about Joe’s foul mouth and hot temper.

https://www.westernjournal.com/white-house-staffers-attempt-avoid-alone-time-biden-due-repeated-vulgar-outbursts-report/

As if his capacity for being a nasty jerk wasn’t well known in DC for the past half century (ask Clarence Thomas.)

https://instapundit.com/594239/

The Atlantic magazine even went all the way. In an article that first included the expected Trump-bashing and laughable lauding of Biden’s wonderfulness, the author eventually got to the point: Biden is obviously past his prime and “has no business running for President at age 80.”

https://www.westernjournal.com/atlantic-turns-biden-says-no-business-running-office-step-aside/

On the other hand, some liberal outlets may fear they’re going too far in criticizing Biden (“Wait, what if he actually is the nominee again, and we have to retract all that and give him the hard sell, like a lemon used car?”) That resulted in hilarious attempts by the ladies of “The View” and CNN’s Dana Bash to somehow blame Republicans for the negative public reaction to Joe Biden’s shameful treatment of his own granddaughter.

https://redstate.com/bonchie/2023/07/10/the-bat-signal-goes-up-to-defend-biden-for-disowning-his-young-granddaughter-n774422

After admitting that the story is “sad and disturbing on so many levels,” Bash then pivoted to the “Republicans pounce" angle: “Republicans are using it and are going to take advantage of it in a way that is unfortunate and inappropriate. But the reason they are doing that, and able to do that, is because of the brand and the kind of person that we all know and believe Joe Biden to be because it’s who he says he is, and it’s someone who is a family man. That’s what we see all of the time.”

So in short, if Biden’s behavior directly contradicts the warm and fuzzy image of him that you’ve sold for years, then it’s the Republicans who are at fault for calling attention to it? Sounds to me like the Republicans are doing your job that you refuse to do: telling the truth.

Post-Script: Stephen Kruiser at PJ Media theorizes that the media are finally reporting on Biden’s bad temper because it allows them to pass it off as a longstanding personality flaw and not a symptom of dementia.

White House Cocaine Update

The White House still claims to be hopelessly baffled by the mystery of who could have brought a bag of cocaine into a secure area of the White House (their latest gambit is suggesting that it might have been left behind by a construction worker – construction workers in DC apparently make so much money that they can not only afford cocaine, but afford to leave baggies of it behind on jobsites.) But Rep. Lauren Boebert offered a simple solution: drug test everyone on staff, including Joe Biden.

https://www.westernjournal.com/lauren-boebert-comes-simple-solution-find-brought-cocaine-white-house/

Before liberals start yowling, consider this: if cocaine were found in your workplace, wouldn’t you expect everyone to have to submit to a drug test? I thought the mantra of this Administration was “Nobody is above the law,” which is what they say every time they indict a conservative for sneezing in the wrong direction while letting leftists who’ve committed multiple felonies go on their merry way. We know they don’t really believe that everyone is subject to the same laws, but shouldn’t everyone at least be subject to the same workplace drug tests?

Systemic Racism Administration

In denouncing the recent SCOTUS decision striking down race-based college admissions, Biden press secretary Karine Jean Pierre made the intriguing claim that government-sanctioned racial discrimination is an “important constitutional right.” So I guess we can dub this the “Systemic Racism Administration.”

https://townhall.com/tipsheet/guybenson/2023/07/10/wh-press-secretary-racial-discrimination-is-an-important-constitutional-right-you-know-n2625486

Unfortunately for that view, multiple polls have found that Americans oppose race-based college admissions policies by large majorities, and that’s true across the spectrum of racial and demographic groups. So what will the left do if minorities oppose white leftists’ attempts to “help them” by instituting policies that judge people solely by their skin color? Answer: accuse racial minorities who disagree with them of being unwitting white supremacists.

https://redstate.com/streiff/2023/07/10/progressives-claim-white-supremacy-has-embraced-diversity-and-inclusion-n774220

The best comment on this came from podcaster Noam Blum, who tweeted, “White supremacy is more diverse than Harvard.”

California: Home of Lousy Ideas

As California Gov. Gavin Newsom hovers over Joe Biden like a buzzard circling over a prospector lost in the desert, the media are going into full-on baloney mode to try to convince us that California is doing GREAT and we need its genius leaders in DC to share their "progressive" policies with the entire nation (Question: If that happens, where will people flee to?)

This story is a good reminder that lousy ideas and unwarranted faith in government power are not new to California, and they are already in full force in the Biden Administration, with predictable dire consequences. Years ago, California mandated that by a certain date, 10% of cars on the road must be electric. Well, they could force dealers to take up valuable lot space, but they failed to figure that they couldn’t force people to buy them. The idea had to be dropped after the EVs sat gathering dust on car lots for years.

Well, Joe Biden and his cohorts are equally gung-ho about forcing us all to buy electric cars. Never mind all the problems, like the inadequate charging technology, the manufacturing pollution, the high cost, the inadequate power and range, the difficulty in obtaining minerals for batteries or disposing of them safely, the lack of electric power to charge them all and the occasional fiery battery explosion. Biden thinks federal power is enough to force Americans to buy EVs (what are you going to do, fight back with an F-16?)

No, but Americans still refuse to be forced to buy something they don’t want. Which means it’s déjà vu all over again…

https://www.breitbart.com/tech/2023/07/11/running-out-of-juice-unsold-electric-cars-are-piling-up-on-dealer-lots/

Who could have predicted this?!!

Brown University

The Brown Daily Herald reports that 38% of Brown University students identify as LGBTQQIAAP2S+. No, that’s not an eye chart. It apparently means that nearly 40% of Brown students claim not to be straight. That’s about double the rate of current college students in general, which is still far higher than any previous generations.

https://www.breitbart.com/education/2023/07/10/report-40-of-brown-university-students-identify-as-lgbtqi/

I suppose you could make the argument that this sudden explosion in non-heterosexual identities is due to Brown attracting a self-selecting sample of radical left snowflakes, which is hard to argue with. Or as the left claims, of society now being “more open” to people admitting their weirdest kinks.

But considering the sharp leap in such self-proclaimed identities, and no known massive shift in human biology over the past five years, it’s more likely a result of social media and peer group pressure stoked by grooming (a number of elite universities are helping that along by adding “Queer Studies” classes), and the eternal impulse of youth to rebel and do anything that draws attention to themselves and makes them feel “special.” Maybe when 100% of them are doing it, they’ll realize it doesn’t make them special, and they’ll knock it off.

This suspicion that it’s largely due to social pressure and bids for attention is bolstered by research from the Center for the Study of Partisanship and Ideology which found that these claims of alphabet soup sexual identities among youth are rising much faster than any admitted actual non-hetero sexual behavior. Also, a study by a Brown University researcher of “rapid-onset gender dysphoria” found that such cases were closely associated with an increase in social media and Internet use and a group of friends who claim to be gender dysphoric or transgender-identified.

Upon reading that, Brown University officials took immediate action. They removed the research paper from their website.

Big congressional briefings this week; many questions to be asked and not answered

This is a big week for congressional briefings that could shed some light on what the government has been hiding.  But if history is any guide, they’ll continue to conceal it.

On Thursday morning, Secret Service Director Kimberly Cheatle is scheduled to brief congressional staff after Kentucky Rep. James Comer, chairman of the House Oversight and Accountability Committee, sent her a letter.  Comer demanded that his committee be briefed by July 14 on the White House security failures that led to the “alarming development” of the discovery of cocaine in the West Wing of the White House.

“The incident,” Comer said, “has raised additional concerns with the Committee regarding the level of security maintained at the White House.”

Here’s that letter…

https://oversight.house.gov/wp-content/uploads/2023/07/White-House-Secret-Service-Letter-Briefing-request-070723.pdf

GOP senators are all over this as well.  Arkansas Sen. Tom Cotton wrote to Cheatle, “If the White House complex is not secure, Congress needs to know the details, as well as your plan to correct any flaws.”  As reported by AMERICAN GREATNESS, Cotton called for her to produce a list of every person who has access to the White House without passing a security screening.  One would assume that’s a fairly short list.  At the time of this writing, early Wednesday, Sen. Cotton had not received a reply.

https://amgreatness.com/2023/07/11/secret-service-to-brief-congress-on-thursday-as-biden-white-house-accused-of-cocaine-cover-up/?utm_medium=email&utm_source=act_eng&seyid=76653

The story of where the cocaine was found has changed so frequently that it became laughable.  The internal investigation was expected to be closed this coming Monday whether or not a suspect is identified, which would make no sense in a sane world.  Fingerprint and DNA analysis was supposedly done last week, but Texas Rep. Pat Fallon said on FOX NEWS Monday that the White House refused to reveal results of the fingerprint analysis, which normally takes about an hour to do.  Of course, if no fingerprints were found, that brings in other considerations.

Thinking human beings can put two and two together and conclude that the Secret Service knows whose coke it was.  The White House is now insulting our intelligence by saying the origin of the cocaine might NEVER be found.  That’s absurd.  (Tom Fitton, president of Judicial Watch, calls the cover-up “officially ridiculous.”)  The highly credentialed Kash Patel says that local law enforcement, not just the Secret Service, should be investigating this.  “The White House is subject to law enforcement and we’re talking about felony levels of narcotics,” he said.

As the left are so fond of saying, no one is above the law.

Also set to testify this week, today at 10 a.m. Eastern Time, is Artful Dodger Christopher Wray, director of the FBI.  When it comes to the questioning, let’s hope the House Judiciary Committee maintains the disciplined sense of direction that legal analyst Margot Cleveland has offered in her latest column.

With the “cluster bomb of scandals,” as she puts it, that has rocked the FBI --- and we deal with yet another one below --- Cleveland says Judiciary Chairman Jim Jordan needs to focus today on two areas:  1) the damning conclusions in the Durham Report (ignored by most media but very real), and 2) the FBI’s involvement in the Biden family investigation.

She offers a list of questions that should be asked on the record even if Wray dodges them.  And, of course, he will.  He might even have a fishing trip in the Adirondacks to fly off to.  On second thought, that probably only works once.

Here’s a particularly great question that should be asked both of him and of Attorney General Merrick Garland: “Why were Biden-appointed U.S. attorneys investigating a crime that connected to the President’s brother?”  (And, we would add, likely to the President himself?)

https://thefederalist.com/2023/07/11/heres-what-the-house-judiciary-committee-should-ask-fbi-director-wray/

The WASHINGTON EXAMINER has its own list of questions for Wray to sidestep.

https://www.washingtonexaminer.com/news/house/seven-unanswered-questions-wray-testimony

C-SPAN will carry the hearing…

https://www.c-span.org/video/?529135-1/fbi-director-testifies-oversight-hearing

And no matter what comes of this meeting, it’s obvious the FBI has to be not just reined in but demolished and rebuilt from the ground up. There are now plans being floated to do just that. Here’s a proposal by Congressional Republicans to force the politics out of the FBI by moving its HQ 700 miles outside of Washington, DC.

https://www.westernjournal.com/republicans-working-plan-rein-fbi-moving-headquarters-700-miles-dc-report/

And the Heritage Foundation just released a detailed plan for dismantling the FBI and replacing it with a reformed agency that fights crime instead of non-leftist wrongthink.

………..

RELATED:  In a must-see interview with Laura Ingraham on Tuesday, Missouri Sen. Eric Schmitt, one of the instigators of Missouri v. Biden (begun when Schmitt was state attorney general), talked about the government’s response to Judge Doughty’s injunction against collaborating with media to censor Americans.  The FBI has essentially gone on offense, he says, pushing to be allowed to continue this unconstitutional outsourcing to censor even MORE.

“So I think it’s a big win for free speech,” Schmitt says of the injunction.  “It’s a crushing blow to this censorship regime that the Biden administration established, and it’s far-reaching.  It almost exclusively went after conservatives, he says, dealing with origins of COVID, Hunter Biden’s laptop, mask mandates, “you name it.”  The government was even threatening Big Tech companies with legal action and increased regulation.

The concern is that Biden, in the fall of ‘24, will sign on to the UN’s so-called Global Emergency Pact, which calls for control of climate “disinformation” across vast social media platforms.  “They use COVID as the playbook,” Schmitt says.  Once they’ve declared an emergency, he explains, they can use that as a pretense to suppress speech through executive action, censoring in ways they could never get passed in the House and Senate.  This week, Schmitt has countered this threat by filing legislation that “seeks to codify the judge’s decision [in Missouri v. Biden] so this can’t happen again.”

Schmitt warns that “this is now the left’s instinct; this is what they want to do.”  Instead of debating facts and ideas --- because they would lose the argument --- they demand control of the conversation.

“We’re often better when the Democrats actually get a chance to debate,” Schmitt says, “’cause the public sees how ridiculous the arguments are.  But they’re afraid of it, so they want to shut it down.”  That’s why they call it DANGEROUS.

The House Judiciary Committee and the Select Subcommittee on the Weaponization of the Federal Government issued a disturbing report on Monday based on documents subpoenaed from Meta (parent company of Facebook and Instagram) that showed they were pressured by the FBI and also by a Ukrainian intelligence agency [the SBU --- Security Service of Ukraine] to censor so-called “Russian disinformation.”

“In light of well-documented instances of the FBI’s civil liberties abuses,” the report reads, “this new information raises grave concerns about the FBI’s credibility as the nation’s premier law enforcement organization.”  Wow, as if it were possible for the FBI’s credibility to sink any lower.

The report alleges that the “FBI violated the First Amendment rights of Americans and potentially undermined our national security.”  Following Russia’s invasion of Ukraine, fhe SBU sent lists to the FBI of social media accounts it wanted banned, and the Bureau “routinely relayed these lists to the relevant social media platforms.”  It says the censorship initiative was “compromised by a network of Russian collaborators, sympathizers, and double agents at the time of its interaction with the FBI.”  Makes you wonder how anyone can get a true story.

When Meta didn’t take immediate, noticeable action against these accounts (numbering 5,165 and including investigative reporter Aaron Mate), the FBI sent a follow-up email to prod them.  But the investigation couldn’t determine how Meta reacted internally to the take-down requests, as it didn’t have access to those internal communications.

The FBI also sent the SBU’s censorship requests, lots of them, to Google and YouTube.  The word one senior cybersecurity employee at Google used in an interview with congressional investigators was “deluged.”

According to the report, this is still going on.  “Based on open-source information,” it reads, “it appears that the FBI’s cooperation with the SBU remains ongoing.”  So don’t believe what you read on social media about the conflict in Ukraine.  The government is slicing and dicing the message it wants to send you and likely serving you the desired narrative on a tray.

https://nypost.com/2023/07/10/fbi-facilitated-social-media-takedown-requests-made-by-ukrainian-spy-agency-report/

Here’s what independent journalist Matt Taibbi, whose recent dive into the “Twitter Files” told a similar story, had to say about this.  This piece is by subscription-only, but you’ll get the idea just from the part you can read for free.

Finally, a welcome sign that for all the government’s efforts to control what Americans hear, say and think, the American people still retain their innate ability to know when someone is urinating on their boots and telling them it’s a rainstorm. Victoria Taft at PJ Media reports that the FBI set up a fink hotline, encouraging Americans to report if they see anyone who might be committing a federal crime. It backfired when they were swamped with reports of serious federal crimes – all of them committed by the FBI.

https://pjmedia.com/news-and-politics/victoria-taft/2023/07/11/the-fbi-asks-americans-to-report-crimes-things-go-about-as-well-as-youd-expect-n1709696

You forgot to mention that the Insurance on electric cars will be sky high due to fire and accident damages will be up there too. Also include Insurance of your homes because EV cars will be stored in the garage and that pesky word FIRE, Plus when gas cars will no longer are paying road tax repairs- the EV owners will have to bury their hands deeper to get all that loose change to help pay for road repairs.
Have you noticed also some insurance companies are pulling out of Florida because of the weather: disasters, flooding, earth quakes, the pesky off shore 'nonclimate control' weather storms causing major damage.
And finally you'll have to decide whether you'll heat you house or cool it or cook your meal with electric before you use you e-l-e-c-t-r-i-c c-a-r to go to work or the grocery store.
