Today's Edition

“I’m concerned that if we don’t impeach this President, he will get re-elected. If we don’t impeach him, he will say he has been vindicated.”

Texas Democrat Rep. Al Green let this slip-on MSNBC last May, revealing that the relentless effort to impeach Trump is all just politics. Of course, if Democrats are able to remove Trump from office, that means Vice President Mike Pence gets a big-time promotion, but don’t think Democrats haven’t thought of that. A “President Pence” is absolutely unacceptable to them. In fact, I wrote just a few days ago that some in the Democrat Party are likely strategizing to take down both President Trump and Vice President Pence, leaving Nancy Pelosi next in the line of succession. Pelosi might stay in office for a while or resign right away and leave the Presidency to her second-in-command.

With gratitude,

Judge rejects Trump claim of immunity

By Mike Huckabee

A federal judge in New York City rejected President Trump’s claim of immunity from Manhattan DA Cyrus Vance’s demand for eight years’ worth of his personal tax returns.

I’m not going to bother with a lot of details because you can read the ruling at the link.  Besides, it was immediately appealed to a higher court, so this may not even be the final word. I just wanted to point out this paragraph as our “Laugh of the Day”:

“According to CNN, because grand jury secrecy rules cover any information obtained through a grand jury subpoena, the president’s tax returns would likely only become public if used in a trial as evidence.”

Does anybody want to bet that within five minutes of those tax forms landing in the hands of nonpartisan professional prosecutor Cyrus “Slap Paul Manafort into Solitary in Rikers” Vance, their contents wouldn’t be the lead story on CNN?

Great Moments In Projection

By Mike Huckabee

House Democrats led by Rep. Adam Schiff, are just dreadfully concerned that Republicans will leak the identity of their “whistleblower” to the media (the quotation marks are because that’s apparently just a euphemism for “mole”) and taking extra steps to increase security.

This is hilarious because one of the main reasons the White House doesn’t want to let House Committees see classified documents or private conversations with world leaders is because they know the three fastest ways to leak classified information to the world are telephone, telegraph and tell-a-Democrat.  Some DC watchers have even claimed that during one hearing, leaks of private testimony to the media coincided perfectly with Adam Schiff’s bathroom breaks (when he says he’s going to “take a leak,” he means it.)

And it was hardly unexpected that putting him in charge of the Intelligence Committee would be like sharing a party line with the town gossip.  This is from last March:

But since this is all just political kabuki theater anyway, sure, why not?  Go ahead and make a big show of putting on extra security to protect the identity of your “whistleblower” from “Republican leakers.” Considering how much time this person apparently spent coordinating his/her/xir story with Adam Schiff, it would be a miracle if Schiff didn’t leak it himself from force of habit.

Maybe we should just take it as a welcome sign that after the whole Hillary email server fiasco, and their defense of James Comey, Democrats in Washington have finally found a state secret they don’t want leaked to the world.

I wanted to make sure you also read these comments:

Fox News reports that “immediately after learning secondhand information from a White House official about President Trump’s July 25 phone call with the president of Ukraine, the first "whistleblower" wrote a dramatic personal memo, saying the White House official characterized the call as “crazy” and “frightening.”

Sorry, but considering Democrats and DC swamp dwellers have dramatically called everything Trump’s said “crazy” and “frightening” since he came down that escalator in Trump Tower to announce his candidacy, you’re going to have to do better.

Rep. Ilhan Omar has filed for divorce from her husband (no, the other one.)  As this story notes, she has been accused in recent months of marrying her brother in a scam to get him citizenship, divorcing him and remarrying her first husband after filing false joint income tax returns during a period when they weren’t really married, and being the “other woman” in the divorce of a political associate whose payments from her campaign are now under scrutiny.

So who does she blame for this divorce?  You guessed it: “political opponents and the media.” Well, at least she didn’t blame Israel this time.

Bible Verse of the Day (KJV)

"And they said, Believe on the Lord Jesus Christ, and thou shalt be saved, and thy house."

-Acts 16:31

On the Mark Levin radio program (with a guest host) this evening, a caller mentioned that first, the "whistleblower" had met with those who could get his blow out--and AFTER THAT is when the rule about having to be a first hand witness was "quietly" written. His (the caller's) contention is--can the "new rule" be applied to the "whistleblower" since it wasn't the rule when he blew? Seems like he would have to be under whatever rule was in effect at the time. Such as, when it takes years to get a criminal to trial--if he/she is found guilty, the punishment would have to be what was allowed at the time of the crime. Seems this is no different. And, I'd sure like for the names of the re-writers to be leaked so we can see who the skunks in that woodpile were.

I'm not computer savvy enough to know how to reach these people, but I woul like for you to pass on to President Trump, VP Pence, AG Barr, for starters to let them know that there are many people who are behind them and appreciate what they do for our country. While I can't speak for everyone--I can speak for myself and many of my fb friends.

Thank you, also, for bringing clarity mixed with good ol' homespun humor to the issues of the day.
