Omar in the news again

Less than 2 minute read

August 28, 2019 |

I recently read that there are plans to bring back the Weekly World News, the wacky tabloid famous for outrageous stories about characters such as “Batboy.”  But the WWN writers may find that the world has passed them by and it’s now impossible to think up ridiculous fake stories that aren’t either true in five minutes or less wacky than the real news, or the fake news in the real news media outlets.

Case in point: when I heard yesterday that Rep. Ilhan Omar was in the news again, I assumed it was because of some incendiary or anti-Semitic comment.  I would not have predicted that she’d be named as a correspondent in a divorce case by a woman who claims her husband, a leftist political consultant, was having an affair with Omar...or that by the end of the day, questions would be swirling about whether campaign funds paid to him were for actual political services or to pay for his travel to illicit trysts.

This is not only a story I would not have predicted, I don’t even like thinking about it.  In fact, I feel as if I should go wash my hands after typing it. But there it is, in the day's top headlines. Anyway, here’s a round-up of some details and Omar’s terse response, if you actually want to know more.

Now, I’m afraid to look at this morning’s news.  Maybe I’ll just put it off for a while and go buy a sympathy card for the writers of the Weekly World News.

Really! If this is any truht I like her to be submitted to the laws of her own people's sharia law in Minnesota...

    Only for MikeHuckabee.
That way we can see her begin for our justice system to save her behind from the people she thinks are better than Americans. And tell the whole world, she get voted out of Congress.
