Double Must-Reads! In response to the resurfacing of Mike Bloomberg’s comments about farmers not needing enough “grey matter” to do more than just stick a seed in the dirt, Vice President Mike Pence tweeted a recording of Paul Harvey’s classic speech, “So God Made a Farmer.” It’s since gone viral, which makes me very happy, because younger generations need to hear it (and to know who Paul Harvey was.) Here’s a brief quote:

“And on the eighth day, God looked down on his planned paradise and said, ‘I need a caretaker.’ So God made a farmer…God said, ‘I need somebody willing to get up before dawn, milk cows, work all day in the fields, milk cows again, eat supper, then go to town and stay past midnight at a meeting of the school board.’ So God made a farmer…”

You can hear that full speech and read excerpts at this link:

And when you’re through, and you’ve dried your eyes from crying, I want you to go to the link below and read Sean Davis’ savage parody entitled, “So God Made a Bloomberg.” You may have to dry your eyes again, but that’s because you will laugh until you cry.

Fair Warning: There’s yet another Democratic debate tonight. Here’s some information for those who really want to watch it (I guess we’ll have to, for those of you who have better things to do with your time, like washing your cat.)

This one is tied to the upcoming Nevada caucuses, and having bought his way into a high enough poll ranking with his barrage of ads, Mike Bloomberg will actually be on stage for the first time. Although since it’s in Las Vegas, he might pay Britney Spears to take his place. At least that would help keep the audience awake.

Democratic Sen. Chris Murphy is apparently auditioning for the role of the next John Kerry, after he admitted to having a private meeting with Iranian Foreign Minister Javad Zarif. From his comments, we can assume it wasn’t to voice his support for President Trump’s official US policy on Iran, so maybe it was to undermine his own nation's policy. Trump had the perfect response for this:

Tuesday, the Boy Scouts of America declared bankruptcy, reportedly due to a large number of sexual abuse allegations. But it seems as if that was just the final straw after years of attacks by and capitulations to gay and trans activists, which in turn alienated traditional Scouting families, who left the organization in droves to join competing groups that adhere to the original religious and moral foundations of the Scouts. A devastating blow came at the end of 2019, when one of its biggest supporters, the Mormon Church, officially severed its ties to the Boy Scouts.

It’s truly a sad day because the Scouts were such an important organization for generations of Americans. But the BSOA has seemingly lost its way, compromising and jettisoning its beliefs until little was left of what it once stood for. You’d think that they, of all people, would understand the dangers of wandering off the straight and narrow path of morality and ethics blazed by the group’s founder. Now, they’re lost in the woods, and who knows if they’ll ever figure out how to find their way back.

Fair and Balanced, Even to the Unbalanced: Bernie Sanders’ campaign manager complained to Vanity Fair about the condescending dismissal of Sanders supporters by MSNBC, noting that Fox News has been “more fair than MSNBC.” Faiz Shakir said, “Fox is often yelling about Bernie Sanders’s socialism, but they’re still giving our campaign the opportunity to make our case in a fair manner, unlike MSNBC, which has credibility with the left and is constantly undermining the Bernie Sanders campaign.”

RIP Ja’net DuBois of “Good Times”

By Pat Reeder, “Huckabee” writer/pop culture historian (

Fans of the ‘70s TV show “Good Times” were shocked and saddened to hear that Ja’net DuBois died unexpectedly in her sleep in Glendale, California, at 74. DuBois had no known health issues and had been seen out and about very recently, including an appearance in December on ABC’s live recreation of episodes of “Good Times” and “All in the Family.”

DuBois played sassy, wisecracking neighbor Willona Hill, who delivered most of the humorous zingers that provided the non-JJ punchlines. While that was her most famous role, she also had a long and varied career as an actress, singer, songwriter, artist and activist for arts education. Her role as Loretta Allen on “Love of Life” in the early ‘70s made her the first African-American woman who was a regular cast member on a daytime soap opera. She co-founded the Pan African Film Festival, the DuBois Care Foundation to support after-school programs and a performing arts school. She even did cartoon voiceovers, winning two Emmys for her role as Mrs. Avery on the animated series, “The PJs.”

But her most famous behind-the-scenes gig was on “The Jeffersons.” She sang the iconic theme song, “Movin’ On Up,” which she also wrote. For that alone, she would have had a secure place in TV history.

Her former colleagues are writing glowing tributes to her on Twitter, including Norman Lear, Janet Jackson, Viola Davis and many more. Our prayers and condolences to her family, and our thanks to her for all the laughs that will continue on forever in perpetual reruns (and for that great “Jeffersons” theme song that we will never get out of our heads.)

Here’s some more background on Protect Democracy, that “nonpartisan” legal group behind the letter from 1,100 former federal prosecutors demanding that Attorney General Barr resign – and about the unpublicized political leanings of those particular signees. Can you guess what their political leanings might be? Oh go ahead, it's easy…

From the “If It Weren’t For Double Standards, They’d Have No Standards at All” Dept: Byron York at writes about all the people who demanded, promoted, cheered on and participated in constant investigations of Donald Trump and all his associates, claiming that was a vital function of protecting our precious democracy. But now that those investigations have been exposed as politically-motivated, illegally-conducted and shadily-sourced, and the people who launched them are themselves under investigation, suddenly, investigations are a horrible partisan assault on our precious democracy.

The very same people who put other people and their families through an expensive ordeal are also now complaining about how unfair it is that they’re being put through an expensive ordeal. As Rhett told Scarlett in “Gone With The Wind,” “You’re like the thief who isn’t the least bit sorry he stole, but he’s terribly, terribly sorry he’s going to jail."

The Potomac River is in danger of being flooded with crocodile tears over AG Barr’s legitimate and justified investigations, but as York points out, none of the people doing the crying were the least bit concerned when the DOJ was targeting their political opponents with frivolous, partisan and unfounded investigations for the past three years.

And why go back only three years? Does anyone seriously think that the political weaponizing of the federal bureaucracies only started when Trump was nominated? At The Federalist, House Oversight Committee member Rep. Chip Roy gives us a little history lesson on the politicizing of the Justice Department, and reminds us of eight major examples of it under Obama alone.

Joining the transparently self-serving calls for Attorney General Barr to resign was Joe Biden, who calls Barr’s recommendation (not an order, just a recommendation that the judge is apparently going to ignore) for a lighter sentence for Roger Stone “the greatest abuse of power I have ever seen.”

I think we’ve all noticed that Joe has a very hard time keeping historical events straight in his memory, so maybe he should read the article by Chip Roy for a refresher course on what real abuse of power looks like, as exercised by the Administration he was recently a part of.

It’s also recommended reading for the editorial board of the Washington Post, which recently denounced Barr by describing him as Trump’s “wing man,” apparently forgetting that former Attorney General Eric Holder once proudly described himself as Obama’s “wing man,” and they apparently thought that was pretty cool.

Since Holder has also recently been denouncing Barr over false accusations that he’s doing what Holder bragged about actually doing himself, maybe he should read that Chip Roy article, too.

I think we need an investigation to see if someone dumped some sort of amnesia tonic in the DC water supply.

The lessons learned served me well for my 82 years and the Oath I took in 57 to Protect and Defend the Constitution against ALL enemies Foreign and DOMESTIC has no expiration date. Shame America has capitulated to the Marxist, Lenin ideology that has been PUSHED by Horace Mann and John Lewis and now mainstream academia from a CENTRALIZED BUREAU of EDUCATION. When you have an Indoctrinated , NOT Educated voting bloc that has bought into this garbage the REPUBLIC is finished.

Is it not pitiful beyond pitiful that in this foreign America we now live in that, not only do parents have to worry that his, or her, child might not come home from school, but, after this latest scandal with....what we used to see as a squeaky clean organization, the Boy Scouts....but they also have lost their trust in the things that USED TO make America great that helped...rather than hurt....their kids!

With all the ugliness we are made aware of on a daily basis, how can our kids not BE cynical without knowing a Lord who can give them something that will enable them to TRANSCEND the ugliness....OF this sinful being seated with Him in the heavenlies while still on earth!!!

So are those treasonous low life's Kerry & Murphy going to be charged with violations of the Logan Act. Does any Republican Congress person have enough intestinal fortitude to make sure these traitors are actually charged. This is just one more example of information, especially with that anti-American John Kerry, yet no pursuits of justice!!!! And on another note President Trump should pardon Stone, Flynn,Manafort, etc. The liars like McCabe, Comey, Brennan,Hillary have all gotten away with lies and much more, so time to pardon the others. The law abiding Americans are watching to see if there ever again be balanced justice in this country. Our forefathers would roll over in their graves for allowing all the treasonous and sedition crimes by Democrats and no hangings!!!!

All of our worries are over. The liberal leftists are self-destructing with each passing day. All the proof we need is Wednesday night's Saturday Night Live skits called the Democratic party debates, subtitled, how to make a complete fool of myself in one hour or less. While President Trump continues to draw huge crowds (I'm told he sold 121,000 tickets for his Thursday rally in my former hometown of Colorado Springs after 80,000 attended his rally in another of my hometowns, Phoenix, Ariz. Wed. night) the liberals keep doing their best to punch each other out and down for the count. All of them combined couldn't draw 100,000 of anything anywhere in the world, unless it's all those millions of locusts flying around East Africa. Five more years: Yippee!!!

I really enjoy reading this Evening Edition from Mike Huckabee. I have been a fan for sometime and he sticks to his guns with this opinions whether they be popular or not. I especially enjoyed the comments about the Dems feeling they are being "overly" investigated and how unfair it is. Isn't that the pot calling the kettle black.

When your newsletter doesn't appear in my inbox, I worry. Thanks for the update! It's the only source of news that I trust, except for headlines from Fox. Sitcom writers could just camp out in D.C. and get all they need for ridiculous, hilarious word fests pumped out by supposedly grown-up politicians. Sure wish President Trump would move the White House to middle America, home of patriots and hard-working farmers!

My hope is that our President and his people are now dutifully preparing his successor ~5 years down the road, that ALL Obama holdovers will be shown the door at the end of President Trump's first term, IMMEDIATELY after the election results are in and that he has their replacements ready to honorably serve.
Another hope that I have is that Manifort, Flynn and Stone will be given full pardons and be totally restored with positions, authority and remuneration commensurate the injustices, suffering, fleecing and ignomany that they have received at the hands of hostile political traitors who have used their power, position and influence to unjustly accuse, harass, prosecute and jail innocent men for supporting a President who has served this country so well.
May God Bless you all and Bill Bar as well.

AG's have always been the President's wing man. Congress has traditionally approved any AG the President wants. JFK appointed his own brother as AG. Liberals, knowing little of the nation's history, are easily fooled.

!st To listen to Holder is a waste of time. A great theme song from DeBois always a loss when when people can make you laugh pass, As today's public speech erodes humor gets loss and everybody is a loser when one does not get to laugh. So Huck please keep the one liners coming. I have thought Kerry is out of line playing patsy with Iran he is so ignorant that if his influence is over they would slit his throat in a second. NOBODY likes a traitor. Last I have mentioned that Farmers should make up a larger number of House Members along with members of the Trades they would bring back common sense and REAL WORKERS to a corrupt and dishonest group that now resides in the House and the Senate. If the swamp drains Huck push that theme in your letters those stuffed manakins need to be evicted before decent people will offer their service. A lot of those members are of an evil nature and Anti American.

WAY TO GO Mormons!!!! Most of us traditional Christians will disagree with their beliefs, but they are Great Americans!! They do not allow their members to partake of the Free Stuff. If you need help you go to the Church. Hey! Chick-fil-A - here is how it is done, Just say NO!! In case you glossed over this, the LDS cut off the Boy Scouts because the Queers and Sexually confused bullied their way into the Boy Scouts who were heavily supported by the LDS.

Mr. Barr, Sir, Keep Up the Great Job!! The country needs you! Please ignore the detestable lies and deceit of the Marxist-Democrats!
