Originally I planned to open the show with a review of the President’s State of the Union address this past week, in which he recited a litany of accomplishments of the first year, such as the lowest unemployment levels ever of black and Hispanic workers, and the increase in pay, bonuses, and 401K retirement plans resulting from a rapidly rebounding economy. The President also placed major proposals on the table, many policy issues that Democrats have demanded and begged for, such as paid family leave, funding for infrastructure, and a generous plan for allowing children brought here illegally would stay here and even have a path to citizenship—in numbers 3 times greater than even the Democrats asked for.

Throughout the speech, the Democrats sat and remained silent. They failed to even applaud for statements in support of the National Anthem, the national motto “In God We Trust” or to salute the families of young people murdered by the gang MS-13. At one point, as member chanted USA, Congressman Luis Gutierrez bolted from the chamber, apparently triggered by such an outward celebration of America.

"A level of intelligence"

By Mike Huckabee

Jimmy Kimmel thinks that late night comedy show hosts are all liberals because the job “requires a level of intelligence.” Having caught a bit of his embarrassingly smutty interview last week in which he actually made a porn star look like the classiest person in the room, I suspect the level of intelligence it requires is "gutter-level."

An example of a show that it took real intelligence to host would be “Win Ben Stein’s Money.” On that show, Kimmel was the smart aleck announcer while contestants had to be smarter than conservative Ben Stein to win. I suspect the duties were split up that way because the network didn’t want to go bankrupt.

Isikoff reacts

By Mike Huckabee

Take note, CNN, MSNBC, et al: this is how an actual journalist reacts to the Nunes memo. Michael Isikoff, who wrote a Yahoo News article about the Trump Russian dossier, says he was “stunned” to discover the FBI used his story to bolster the credibility of claims from the dossier to get a FISA Court warrant to spy on Trump’s associates. Isikoff said, “It’s self-referential” – his story was about the FBI investigation of the dossier, so naturally, the quotes from the dossier were information the FBI already had, not independent reporting corroborating its claims.

Incidentally, read down far enough and you’ll see that Isikoff suggested way back last summer that it “wasn’t unreasonable” to think the FBI used that Russian dossier to launch the Trump investigation. Of course, at that point, he didn’t know who paid for it. But the FBI did. They just didn’t share that inconvenient truth with the FISA Court judges.

Deadly Amtrak crash

By Mike Huckabee

Sunday in South Carolina, an Amtrak train collided with a freight train, killing two Amtrak employees and injuring 116 passengers. The injuries ranged from minor scratches to broken bones. This is the third deadly Amtrak crash in two months, and the second in less than a week. Please remember the victims and their families in your prayers. And if we are going to spend taxpayer money to help fund a passenger rail system, then let’s get to the bottom of why it’s having so many deadly safety lapses that federal bureaucrats would never tolerate if they were being made by a private carrier that the government wasn’t a part of.

Mexican-born military veteran deported

By Mike Huckabee

Did you see all the OUTRAGE last week at President Trump over the deportation of a Mexican-born military veteran? Well, two things the Twitter mobs neglected to note (and they actually included Democratic members of Congress): 1. He was ordered deported under Obama, not Trump. 2. What he did that got him deported. Click the link and the truth shall set you free (and get him deported).

Super Bowl congratulations

By Mike Huckabee

Congratulations to the Philadelphia Eagles on their first-ever Super Bowl win over the favored New England Patriots, 41-33.

Congratulations to both teams for standing up during the National Anthem. Congratulations to singer Pink for giving a stirring rendition of the Anthem, despite fighting a terrible case of the flu. And congratulations to most of the sponsors for realizing that sports fans were sick and tired of being harangued with liberal political messages – well, all except T-Mobile, who used footage of a lot of innocent babies to promote their vision of a future leftist utopia.

Finally, congratulations to the disgusted Americans on Twitter who called them out on it by noting that the NFL refused an ad from a veterans’ group on proper respect for the flag as “too political” but allowed this…and for noting that in the real version of a leftist utopia, a lot of those beautiful babies would never even be here because they would have been aborted.

The Clinton Camp and the DNC should be billed the entire cost of this investigation!! What a waste of time and taxpayers dollars!

I support my President 100%. I believe the Democrats are out to get him, come hell or high water. It is disgusting and scary that they would use the FBI to persecute and try to get rid of my President.
