YOU CAN'T BLAME PRESIDENT TRUMP FOR THIS

Some Democratic Mayors and Governors have tried to use the pandemic as cover for draconian crackdowns that violate people’s Constitutional rights and make no logical sense, and the people are letting them know they’re not going to take it. I already told you about the traffic jam protests of Michigan Gov. Gretchen Whitmer’s civil rights-crushing rules, and the sheriffs who refused to enforce them. But rebellion is starting to break out all over…

…even in laid-back Southern California, where cops actually waited on a deserted beach to accost a lone surfer who I guess was spreading the coronavirus to dolphins by hanging ten out in the ocean, far from the nearest human being. The freeways are once again filling with defiant drivers, and about 200 people protested stay-at-home orders with signs calling Governor Gavin Newsom “fascist.” That must’ve hurt, since “progressives” like him think they’re the only ones who are allowed to call people they disagree with politically “fascists.”

Naturally, the Democratic Governors are trying to blame President Trump, accusing him of “fomenting domestic rebellion” by tweeting support of the protesters.

And Whitmer’s media allies like the New York Times are trying to cover for her by depicting the protesters as all being “right-wingers” and Republicans. But a few Twitter tweets won’t spark rebellion, and you don’t have to be in the party of Lincoln to be furious at getting a $500 ticket for attending a drive-in church service inside your own car. Or being told you can go into Walmart and buy tomatoes but not seeds to grow your own tomatoes because that’s “non-essential,” which is actually one of Gov. Whitmer’s inexplicable rules for fighting the coronavirus.

What this actually shows is that Americans are willing to pitch in and make sacrifices for the greater good, but there are limits to their patience, particularly when they suspect that officials are taking advantage of a crisis to expand their power at the expense of the people. These politicians are getting a lesson in what “governing by the consent of the governed” means. Unlike the left’s fever dreams, holding power in America doesn’t mean that you get to shove whatever you want down the people’s throats (unless you’re the Governor of Virginia, apparently.)

It’s amazing, though, how some leftists fail to see the writing on the wall. They still think that this coronavirus crisis, with its government edicts, shuttered economy and big government support payments, has opened the door to their utopian environmentalist/socialist/Big Mother government future. Even Joe Biden, who’s now pandering overtime to Bernie voters, claims that this virus scare has created the opportunity for more “fundamental change,” to kill the fossil fuel industry and create millions of government “green jobs” to stop global warming.

In fact, I believe this period of economic stagnation, joblessness and dependence on government accompanied by all the leftist politicians using it to expand their power, bully the public and violate their rights, has given Americans a chilling preview of what life under “Democratic socialism” would really be like. They now believe it would be worse than a deadly pandemic or apocalyptic climate change (incidentally, after those computer models falsely predicted millions of Americans would die of the virus, good luck selling climate change based on computer models.)

The leftists may think this is ushering in a glorious new socialist/green utopia, but for most people, one month was more than enough of it. I’d say your vision for America's future isn’t all that popular when most people say, “I’d rather take my chances with a potentially deadly virus than put up with one more day of this garbage.”

25TH ANNIVERSARY

Tomorrow will mark the 25th anniversary of the Oklahoma City bombing in 1995, when a truck bomb destroyed the Murrah Federal Building, killing 168 people, including 19 children. As we remember that terrible tragedy and say a prayer for the victims and those who are still grieving the loss of their loved ones, we should also remember the hard lessons we learned from that terrible day, like the need for constant vigilance against the enemies of America, both foreign and domestic. And as this blog post reminds us, not to put too much trust in the wisdom of media “experts,” because most of them got that story completely wrong from the get-go.

BRIAN DENNEHY REST IN PEACE

I'm sad to report the death of veteran actor Brian Dennehy, who passed away Wednesday at 81. Over a long and distinguished career, the burly actor won raves and awards for everything from stage plays by Shakespeare and Chekhov to his many TV and movie roles, including “Semi-Tough,” “Rambo: First Blood,” “Presumed Innocent,” “10,” “Tommy Boy” and “Cocoon,” and many more that will live on for future generations. Our condolences to his family.

WEEKEND FOOD FOR THOUGHT

Weekend Food for Thought: Was the COVID-19 coronavirus created in a Chinese lab that it escaped rather than transmitted from bats to humans? One man is arguing that it clearly was. Detractors accuse him of being a conspiracy theorist, but considering that Dr. Luc Montagnier won the Nobel Prize for medicine for discovering HIV as the cause of AIDS, it might be worth hearing him out. He believes the virus was created not as a bioweapon but to research an AIDS cure, as its genome shows it contains sequences of HIV, which would have had to be inserted in a lab. He said Indian researchers reached the same conclusion, but were pressured into withdrawing their findings.

Dr. Montagnier says there’s a positive side to this, in that genetically-manipulated viruses don’t survive long. Also, he says the real conspiracy mongers are the people trying to silence anyone who questions China’s official story.

You can read more at the link and see if you agree. But if not, don’t try to claim that it’s because he doesn’t know what he’s talking about.

President Trump is going far and beyond to make sure that everyone has info and the needs to fight this virus. I applaud his dedication and the daily briefs for all to hear and see.

    Dear Governor Huckabee,
Thank you for being there for us. Aren't we fortunate, or God protected, that the Chinese did not end up creating a virus as virulent and deadly as AIDS while also capable of being transmitted as easily as Covid 19 is? Try to think about that nightmare without thanking God! Please, please let more people know and really realize what it really means. Thankful to God and in Christ, R. Dorien and Cheryl deLusignan

I wish that everyone in the world would get and read your newsletter. You have so many attributes of a great leader: you are smart, level headed, well balanced and have wisdom and a great sense of humor. Plus you know the power of the Word & prayer. I read things from your newsletter I don't get anywhere else. I thank you for keeping us updated on our nation's and the world's leaders and events. Also keeping us informed with things to do with this awful virus. Also I greatly appreciate the scripture....I really needed it today. I have a close dear friend that has had this virus since the 19th of March when she was exposed...she is 70 and has underlying health issues. She is still testing positive as of last week and is enduring this alone at her home. We also have a niece in her 20's that just found out she had it. We are both older too with underlying conditions so have had to stay in except for getting groceries, meds and such. God will help get us through this.

Mike, when Tucker Carlson was interviewing the New Jersey governor, the man kept petitioning God for mercy, and stated he ignored the Bill of Rights, gave it no thought when instituting draconian methods and stripping people of their liberties, because they wanted to save lives, that "every life is precious". But...isn't this guy like every other Democrat politician I know of, the abortion crowd, they can't get enough, they encourage and celebrate them, even after the baby is born? The hypocrisy was just appalling.

The only violence I would advocate after reading a tale of two states, is to put those Governors on a plane to a nice socialist country and not to let them return.

I'm from Michigan and am one of the "protesters" of our Governors draconian abuse of power. No question about it, what she has done is not for the people or the states protection, rather to further her political ambitions.

2nd and more important is that NOW is time to OPEN the Churches... we have put up with this long enough and have been gracious about giving up our right to worship as we choose... for the idea that it is for the safety of society. The government CAN NOT ORDER the CHURCHES CLOSED. Our founders would be rolling over and and shouting that OUR country was FOUNDED on RELIGIOUS FREEDOM!! (I'm not shouting at you Governor)... merely emphasizing that we so easily have given up the right to worship together. Technology is good and I have discovered may ministries I would not have know about otherwise but it DOES NOT REPLACE the ability to worship together and to take communion. This is blasphemy! at this point by not allowing the church / synagogues to open. The Government took the celebration of Passover and Easter from us and our families and I AM NOT HAPPY! GOD is NOT HAPPY. The Church MUST be OPENED! What can I do to help this effort?

    Governor,
When listening to your show on my TV, often the sound is muffled. But, when I listen on my iPad the sound is just fine.
    P.S.
    I never miss a show.

This morning the image passed through my mind. President Trump is the faithful father at home working, worrying about millions of children. Not getting enough rest, while the mother (congress) is AWOL. I realize that's not fair to the Republicans. They can't control the Democrats. So I guess they are the part of the mother that actually loves her children, but the selfish, self centered part takes over and puts the children and father through a lot of worry and anguish! I just thought this was interesting and don't know why it came to mind.

Governor, I heard about Dr Luc Montagnier from SkyWatch TV. They said that Twitter shut down a web-site called Zeroedge.com that exposed what the Dr said about the virus. I remember that Ted Cruz complained to Congress about censoring Mother Teresa's picture and comments about Abortion by Twitter. Do you think Twitter will shut down some of President Trump's tweets when it gets close to the election date. They might after they have financially benefited from him. Governor, I know that I commented before to you about starting a Conservative media site like Facebook and Twitter. with a show like Sat-night live on it to get people to tune in and be influenced. We have lost free-speech at most of the Universities. The Newspapers and Fake News networks are in control by George Soros and other strange groups. How are we going to get the truth out and protect our Constitution and promote the Gospel of Christ ? I'm so glad to hear you on many news show give your non afraid, honest opinion. You even present it with a clever layer of humor. The Prophets have been speaking about Judgment coming this year and I know the Lord is in control but, we have a part to play in spreading the Gospel and defending our Country. The problem is how do we do it. For now, I'm going to study the Word and Pray in the spirit. That is the best advice that I have gotten so far from one of the Ministers that I follow. God Bless you pastor.

Overreach has included the arrest of a man in CO for playing catch with his child, arrest of a man for wind surfing in CA, going to socially isolated drive-in church services throughout our nation, and do not get me started on Michigan. All the while, mostly Democrat officials are opening the jails, releasing criminals and keeping Planned Parenthood and marijuana stores open. It seems that the greatest crime is refusing to adhere to arbitrary government restrictions.

I'm surprised that you failed to mention the Doolittle Raid of April 18,1942 that was launched on this date. It was significant for many reasons foremost being an attempt to strike back at Japan in retaliation for their attack on Pearl Harbor and to raise the spirit of the American people.

Thank you and FOX news for bringing the plight of Michiganders chafing under the oppressive and ridiculous regulations enacted in this state during the pandemic. Please pass along my appreciation especially to Tucker Carlson for his opening statements on Gretchen Whitaker on his April17 show. He nailed it. Please send a heartfelt thank you to Jeanine Pirro for her explosive opening monologue in her show on April 18. Michigan has been run by mostly Democrats for almost 100 years. The few Republican leaders that have held leadership positions did nothing either. I could write a book about how much is wrong here but it would not do as much good as you all at FOX are doing to show the rest of the country why the democrats have lost touch with reality. Why citizens of this state keep voting for the two democrat senators (Debbie Stabenow and Gary Peters) all these years is mind boggling. The Midwest states should start worrying more about population loss not as a result of the wuhan virus. Nothing worth staying here for anymore.

There were demonstrations in Carson City and LasVegas, Nevada against our dumb Democratic Governor Sisolak! We have a very low Covid9 cases. Yet everything is closed. Churches closed but we can have liquor delivered. We cannot make it if the Casinos do not open. Our UE system has crashed for days. We will not recover if we cannot open soon! Governor is being controlled by Harry Reid!!!!!!!

I stay at home and watch some TV and look at the insanity of these government officials decisions I still think we need to keep the sick out of reach of the healthy people. I am in the group deemed vulnerable so I respect the population and the healthcare people I will do my best not to be burden. On the other hand I think the 3 step back to work plan needs to be put in place with all the precautions required. The question I have is how did science combine all the loons brains like Maxie Watters Pelosi Schumer and all the Left's propaganda anchors get them crammed into the heads of these Mayors Governors policemen around the country I hope the voters on the Left understand what they are getting themselves into when they vote for these lunatics. In the future All the protesters will be met with water hoses and teargas enjoy your lockdowns as a way of your future figure it out before Nov 3rd. You will spend your time like the people of Hong Kong get to know XI these people will rule just like CCP.

I am convinced that I'm being personally dumbed down by watching CNN and MSLSD. Having lived thru the last 80 or so 'End of the World' scenarios this one is the most egregious BECAUSE of the 24/7 If it Leads It Bleeds media's active pursuit of a way to Blame America and by Proxy thier most hated enemy President Trump. The real blame belongs to our Academic Excellence in Propaganda system called Public Education which has abandoned the Three R's and History and Civics. Free Speech used to be the bastion of Colleges but is now ONLY if that speech confirms to the Progressive [Leftist] ideology. Having Graduated in 1956 and attending MIT I look back and wonder where some of these anti-American's with Megaphones were educated ? Then after reading in some articles in the Epoch Times it dawns on Me. We have identified the Enemy and it's us. We have allowed our institutions to be slowly converted to propaganda arms that espouse Communism by it's Collectivism Radical Socialism point of view. I know most have heard of 'Trickle Down Economics' but not a whisper about TRICKLE DOWN INDOCTRINATION using education as the vehicle. A study mentioned about the study by a Professor out of Israel has put forth I believe the most LOGICAL explanation and if the Virus starts to disappear by the middle of May it's going to make a lot of TV EXPERTS[aka fake journalist] look more foolish than normal.

Michigan's iron fisted Governor, whom I dub,"One Term Whitmer"; supposedly went on MSNBC and said those at the Capitol were not protesting. Apparently they were holding a political rally? She must have been triggered by the giant Trump 2020 sign that was hauled in on a trailer. Talk about TDS!
