In the never-ending quest to crack down on all that free speech taking place on the Internet, the left-leaning search engine Google (whose corporate slogan “Don’t be evil” was dropped in 2015 for reasons that will soon become apparent) announced that it will allow users to flag website content as “upsetting/offensive.” That will get the “upsetting/offensive” sites dropped lower in search listings, so they’ll be harder to find. This type of rating was formerly used only for pornography, but critics warn that this is an underhanded way of making conservative news and opinion sites disappear from Google, because it’s assumed they’ll be buried with “upsetting/offensive” ratings from SJW snowflakes who are upset and offended by absolutely everything they disagree with.

If you’re upset and offended by this transparent attempt to let intolerant and censorious leftists determine what you see when you search the Internet, you could let Google know about it. You might also Google this phrase: “Duck Duck Go.” You’ll thank me later.

I'm grateful for the inside scoop from you that otherwise we may never here about.

The first thing that entered my mind was how to put an "upsetting/offensive" rating on all the mainstream "news" websites. I hope this tactic by google backfires just like the Target and Ivanka Trump boycotts did!

Sorry, Governor Huckabee...while I understand your concern, the videos that have caused the problem are not simply expressing opposing points of view. I think that we probably agree that videos that openly praise Adolf Hitler, deny the Holocaust, openly denigrate non-white/Caucasian people as sub-human...those videos can still be seen...but why should they get a free ride or equal access to those that express in a positive constructive way the values you, me and those raised in a Judeo-Christian tradition or a Bhuddist tradition, and the Muslim/Islamic traditions that have not been infected by extreme versions of Wahhabism and similar philosophies. I say let's help Google so that they can better define those videos that are malevolent and do not suppress legitimate points of view. And especially those that propagate stories that fly in the face of FACTS! It's time that Christians, Jews, everyone with any moral compass start standing up and saying "ENOUGH." I applaud those companies for pushing back.

I did go to that site but I will have to work to get it through Safari on my phone. The computer will be better but I am away from home. I have not been happy with yahoo or google they both are so biased. I like to think for myself.

Well, I did make a comment on the Conservative Tribune that might catch their eye.. it was about that habit of wearing your pants down below your buttocks. I just expounded on the first paragraph in the article and further explained how the practice got started in prisons and why. I thought the Conservative Tribune article was too PC for my tastes. I guess they didn't want to offend anyone in the Liberal camp.

    Question...isn't "chrome" part of google?

This could really backfire on them. Conservative people could mark the leftist tantrums as offensive and bury them.

Thank you Mike for revealing things others aren't brave enough to. I feel that Trump is going through the same troubles you did when you took over for bill. I see similar problems you had with the established legislation. Thank you again and keep up the fight for the conservative idea

Who knows it might backfire on them and the conservative "googles" will be on top.
I don't understand a liberal stance in any corporation. No common sense.
