December 6, 2019

Well, Nancy Pelosi has kept to her strict timetable and will go down in history as the House speaker who made the impeachment train run on time. She has officially announced –- in case there was ever any doubt –- that the House will pursue articles of impeachment against President Trump for his “failure to execute the law.” There will be more hearings on Monday, this time featuring House “intel staff” to testify on the report Congress already has. Wouldn’t it be great if they brought in the member or members of Schiff’s staff who talked to the “whistleblower”? Dream on.

Gosh, and wouldn’t it be great if they trotted out those three law professors again instead? Or maybe this time they could bring in three late-night TV hosts --- Jimmy Kimmel, Jimmy Fallon, Stephen Colbert --- to tell Trump jokes. Jimmy Kimmel could even cry.

Don’t worry about Democrats having to pull a couple of all-nighters to come up with the articles of impeachment by Monday. They’ve been working on those babies for YEARS. They must have already gone through hundreds of drafts. The trick is, how do they make the wording vague enough that they don’t need to prove anything really specific?

I find it interesting that they’re moving impeachment forward on Monday, the very day Inspector General Michael Horowitz’s report on the origins of the FBI’s “Trump/Russia” investigation will be made public. Now, I’m not expecting much in the way of criminal referrals; indictments will be the focus of U.S. Attorney John Durham’s investigation. But tucked away in its over-500 pages will be some no-doubt scathing assessments of the FBI’s policies and performance. In and of itself, the culture of the FBI might not be criminal, but –- and this is the important thing –- it SET THE STAGE for what certainly appears to have been criminal. That culture made it possible for the upper echelon of the FBI to act in two completely different ways regarding Hillary Clinton and Donald Trump. I doubt that Democrats want too much attention paid to the report, and that’s why we get “Impeachment Monday.”

As I’ve said before, the Horowitz report likely will turn out to be one of those “mistakes-were-made” internal reports. That would be par for the course. The real value of this report, as I see it, is as a sort of “roadmap” to assist Durham in his CRIMINAL investigation.

Speaking of that, there’s a hard-hitting new piece by Judicial Watch Director of Investigations & Research Chris Farrell, appearing in Gatestone Institute, which describes itself as “a non-partisan, not-for-profit international policy council and think tank dedicated to educating the public about what the mainstream media fail to report” in a variety of areas, including “institutions of democracy and the rule of law” (hooray).  His article is about the need for Durham to bring indictments. In it, Farrell explains the likely significance of a particular text from Lisa Page to Peter Strzok, which asks, “You get all our oconus lures approved? ;)” (As in, a wink and a smile.)

Not being a lawyer, I looked up the definition of “oconus lure.” “Oconus” is bureaucrat-speak for “Outside Contiguous U.S.” And the Justice Department defines a “lure” as a technique used to “entice a criminal defendant to leave a foreign country so that he or she can be arrested in the United States.” As it happens, the “oconus lure” text was released as part of a huge batch in February of 2018 by the Senate Homeland Security Committee, and Lou Dobbs brought it up on his FBN show the following June. (Farrell was a guest on that show.) President Trump became aware, and even tweeted about it later that day.

Page almost certainly meant they were going outside the U.S. to conduct a lure to bring them together with someone in the hope of gathering information for a case they were working on. Without context, we don’t know if the case they’re talking about here is the Trump case, but I’d say that, given their focus, the odds are pretty darn good. Farrell certainly believes it is. And guess when Lisa Page send this tweet.

December, 2015.

The mainstream media, predictably, shrugged this off last year as “conspiracy theory.” But at that time, we didn’t know as much as we do now about what happened to, say, George Papadopoulos when he was in Europe. An ABC News report from June 7 of last year that set out to describe “the evolution of a conspiracy theory” was vague on the issue of confidential informants, saying only, “Last month, at a controversial briefing for a small group of lawmakers on both sides of the aisle, the Department of Justice revealed documents related to the use of an informant hired by the FBI to touch base with campaign officials suspected of speaking to Russians.”

That’s how fuzzy the information was at that point. Was the informant Stefan Halper, perhaps? Recall that when information was first emerging about Halper, we weren’t supposed to say his name, just as we’re now not supposed to say Eric Ciaramella’s name. (And never mind that people were targeted merely for “speaking to Russians.”)

Anyway, Farrell, a former counterintelligence case officer himself, is convinced that in its investigation of a major party’s candidate for President, the FBI manufactured a foreign counterintelligence (FCI) “threat” that could be “imported” back into the U.S. It would start outside the United States (“oconus”) and would involve confidential human sources such as Halper and Mifsud who would act as “lures” to trap Trump associates. This text, if it’s talking about the Trump campaign, means that they were working on this well before the July 31, 2016, launch of “Crossfire Hurricane.”

What mainstream media dismissed as the rantings of wild-eyed conspiracy theorists actually makes a tremendous amount of sense now, given what we’ve learned since then, and I recommend you read Farrell’s detailed article. No doubt it’s this aspect of the FBI’s “Trump/Russia” investigation that took Durham and Attorney General Barr to Europe a couple of times. As Farrell says, Durham needs to “get into it,” and find out once and for all what FBI officials were or were not up to. When Robert Mueller was questioned in these areas, his answer was always some variation of “I can’t get into that.” And the chief “coup” conspirators, if that is indeed what they are, still are free as the breeze, traveling the country on book tours and appearing as paid contributors on CNN and MSNBC. These very people might have hatched a plot that constituted what Farrell describes as “the single greatest threat to the Constitution since the nation’s founding.”

This piece from Sara Carter back in November gives us reason to think Durham is seriously on the case.

As for the Horowitz report, we may as well wait till its release on Monday rather than speculate further. On the other hand, John Solomon has some great sources, and his outline of what the report will cover is probably spot-on. The question is, will the individuals responsible be held to account? We’ll likely have to wait for Durham’s findings on that.

I doubt very much that the Horowitz report (or the following Durham investigation results) will cause any substantive consequences for any of the people responsible. When was the last time a government official was jailed for crimes that were not a personal offense (as opposed to public offense, such as abuse of power in office)?

Those who complain loudest about protecting the Constitution often seem to be the most egregious offenders, but none is ever held to account, as far as I can tell. We have two systems of justice -- one for those who are members of the swamp, and one for the rest of citizenry, with few exceptions.

Why is it that, if you run for public office, you are immune from investigation (either because your favored party is in office, or having the opposing party examine you is "purely partisan" (that is, unless the offender is Republican)? Hillary and Biden get a free pass because "you can't investigate an opponent", while Manafort goes to jail and Trump is under endless investigation. Am I the only one who sees a double standard here???

I am feeling so frustrated about the Investigations that have been going on so very long. If they are anything like the Mueller Report, they will be rediculous. With Dunham traveling all over the World ($$$$) andHorowitz probably trying to find some type of Gatcha on our President and the Republicans in Congress. After those Constitutional Lawyers (accept for Turley), I’m so frustrated!!!!! HELP!!!!

I do not feel these people will get by with this, just like Hillary. All the money moving in these hands, lies and coverup. America would rather try to get rid of our President, instead of the crooks. The Demo's will carry on and finish destroying America, take our freedom, guns, and all rights we have, open boarders. we would have lost the best Country in the world. Ruin our schools the rest of the way.

shows you how desperate nancy is. And really what do you think MOST of us want to hear about. Duh! It sure isn't the documented insanity going on in the house. I think this tactic will backfire big time. Of course, this could be a false flag, and as one site says "make them use ammunition." As the profane might say "They'll shoot their wad and get nothing for it." I think it would be comical if the report was not out until Wednesday. libs deserve to be humiliated as often as possible. now, we must realize as Barr does, that Horowitz does't have ALL the info he needs because the limits of his scope of investigation. That's okay, when more comes out in waves, it will be devastating for the FBI, CIA and DOJ. There are so many implicated, it's not funny. If there ARE no criminal indictments, this was an exercise in futility and we the people may be forced to act on our own to save the Republic. I hope that never is an option and Durham/Barr are brutal in their report and justice is served...VERY cold.

Thank you Governor Mike for all of your TRUTHFUL information. I hope and Pray that US Attorney Durham will be able to piece together ALL OF THE NEFARIOUS DETAILS OF THE CRIMES COMMITTED BY THE OPPOSITION MOB AND EVENTUALLY HAVE A ROUND-UP OF PRISONERS HEADED INTO PRISON CELLS FOR A LONG TIME!
God Bless AMERICA; President Trump is our David Fighting the Dragon and he is WINNING!

Nancy, Nancy, Nancy, why are you claiming to be a Catholic? Are you finally turning to the Faith that gave you your life while you then used it to deny millions their lives? Considering your advanced age, which all the Botox in the world can’t hide, very soon now you will be applying for a job with the Gatekeeper. Alas, your record as a self-proclaimed gifted lawmaker will not be considered, because you will be applying in a place where they don’t need your skills. The Law there is perfect. Nancy, there is a reason why the Catholic faith placed Pride on the list of the seven Deadlies. Please stop invoking the Faith. You are not a Catholic.

I have never submitted a second comment after I have already written one, but, upon READING these comments, the day AFTER I wrote mine, I had a repeat of the "coincidence" that AUTHORED my comment yesterday, so please bear with me on this one .....The comment that I read...and that took my breath away...was written by NANCY Pekora and I pray that, if this comment is posted, she will read it because she so blessed me....and I want her to KNOW that she did!

In the comment I wrote, yesterday, I began by saying that I couldn't believe that, only minutes after watching a video of Jimmy Kimmel, I should read his name in yesterday's newsletter!.......Well, right now, upon accessing these comments....and
upon seeing a picture of Nancy's face that appears BEFORE these inner, spontaneous, response was, "dear God, the spirit of Satan is even reflected in her face." .....AND.....

It was in view OF this response that, one more time, I could not believe that...only minutes later....I should read Nancy Pekora's opening statement, "I believe a person's soul is REFLECTED IN their actions." ....AND THEN....when I read her statement, "we might as well have Satan himself telling us he is praying for the President," it, too, took my breath away because , had I not been conscious of not wanting to write a too lengthy comment, I would have gone on to state that there was no way that Nancy was praying for our President because her actions .....
AGAINST him....spoke louder than her words ....she claimed she uttered in prayer ....FOR him!

So I just want to express my gratitude TO Nancy Pekera for making me feel like, if only for a brief moment, I must be from another planet because I cannot relate to THIS one! If there is any chance THAT Nancy Pekera will READ this comment..if it IS posted...I want to make her aware that the one I wrote, yesterday, is the 9th one AFTER her comment.....Maybe her reading MY comment could bless HER as much as my reading her comment blessed ME!

I think that Hillary Clinton and President Trump will ultimately be treated the same in that she has and he will be judged in the ‘court of public opinion’. This is where politics should be judged.

    Gov. Huckabee,
I love your viewpoint and comments. You are incredibly accurate and informed on the site situation in the Deep State and the farce on Impeachment playing out in Congress as the Democrats hurl themselves towards political and personal destruction.
I also love reading the comments by fellow readers and fans.

As an American that supports and will vote again (if I get the chance) for Donald Trump I cant seem to wrap my head around the Democrats action against a voted in chosen by the people president, I don’t entirely understand the whole thing and am not very political but I have to ask to what end and what is the endgame of the Dems? Will Mike Pence be safe when he becomes President or will this be impeachment by association ? I’m concerned because I really like and respect Mr. Pence

It is not just about Trump. It is about our future and our descendants futures. The impeachers are setting a precedent that enables future controls to keep in office whomever and whatever they desire regardless of the will of the people. In other words it is about the future of this country and elite factions dictating governing rule. Already they have violated and manipulated laws for their convenience. These very same laws were to safe guard the general public from overthrows, coups and takeovers. They are blatantly suggesting taking down the whole administration and anyone involved with Trump. This is a message that they will not tolerate anyone interfering with their agenda to keep total control of the nation. Already they have passed a convenient law to initiate such action. This is not conspiracy this is an obvious reality.

Thank you Governor Huckabee! I know I can count on you to tell the unbiased truth! The mainstream media will probably ONLY be focused come Monday on the “impeachment trial”, and we MAY never hear anything that is in the report from Bill Barr! Democrats don’t WANT us to know what is in it, since it might show THEIR wrongdoing! Any news yet on WHEN John Durham’s report might be released? I am willing to bet, like you, that IT will be a lot more damaging to the Clintons, Obama’s, Pelosi’s, Biden’s, etc.!!!

I believe that a person's soul shines through and is reflected in their actions and their entire life style.. As the bible states, "you will know them by their fruits". Pelosi can spout off scripture while standing on her head, but that does not make her a real Christian any more than standing in a garage would make her a real car. The fruits that we are all seeing are anything but pure. They are withered and rotted to the core, a direct result of what is in her soul. Jesus said that it is not what goes into our mouths that defiles us, but what comes out. What comes out of her mouth is a direct reflection of what condition her soul is in. We might as well have satan himself telling us he is praying for the president, for all the desired effect she is having. And then again... maybe that is exactly what we are seeing. He who dwells in our soul controls our actions and produces the fruit thereof.

The issue really isn't impeachment, it's an obscenely false narrative. Yet the larger, more troubling issue is the failure of Republicans to take action. Sitting around saying, "the impeachment proceedings are ridiculous", or "there's no evidence of wrong-doing" is like trying to put out a refinery fire with a garden hose. "The individuals responsible" don't need to be held to account, they need to be prosecuted. If there are no consequences, baseless accusations and useless hearings will simply continue.

Here's what McConnell should do this weekend:
    1) Pass the same rules in the Senate that the House used for their inquiry (hearings in secret, minority cannot introduce witnesses or evidence, no minority cross-examination, pronounce "acquitted" before the trial starts, etc.)
    2) Pass Senate rules that All witnesses who commit process crimes (i.e. perjury) will be promptly indicted, stripped of all committee assignments and pension benefits
    3) Put on notice that all house members that vote "For Impeachment" on Monday will be subpoenaed, along with their friends and family members, for a minimum of 2 days each, or until a true crime or process crime is uncovered (see item #2). Special notices for Pelosi, Schiff and Nadler (and their families and associates) they will be witnesses for a minimum of 10 days or until all of their crimes are uncovered.

This whole convoluted thing is very disturbing. Trump and his team (now including Trey Gowdy it appears) must hit back soon! It seems that all he can do is tweet about how unfair everything is. Yet, persons, like yourself, know the truth and must get it into the light. Maybe one idea is to invite the media to Camp David (or Area 51) and show them the pertinent reports, videos of the hypocrisy of the likes of Nadler’s and Obama’s past comments.
