Want a good look at the impeachment mindset we’re dealing with on the Democratic side in Congress? When Chris Wallace interviewed Rep. Hakeem Jeffries, chairman of the Democratic Caucus, on Sunday, the lies came so thick and fast, it’s hard to even know where to start in addressing them. But as an informed person, you’ll know the lies when you hear them. According to Jeffries, he and his Democratic colleagues really did not come to Washington to impeach the President. No, not at all. “We are here reluctantly,” he lied. “Impeachment of a President is not something that we came to Congress to do. We came to Congress to get things done, to work with this President...”

Yes, he did invoke the Constitution and the founding fathers, and cited “a potentially out-of-control Executive Branch.” He actually said, “That is not the Democratic playbook; that is the James Madison playbook.” He likened Trump to a “king,” a “dictator” and a “monarch.” He accused Trump (still without firsthand evidence of this) of pressuring a foreign government to target an American citizen for political gain by withholding military aid. To his credit, Wallace at least challenged him on whether or not Democrats had made their case, particularly to the public, and also whether or not the process in his committee was fair.

Jeffries responded that “...our job is to follow the facts, apply the law, be guided by the U.S. Constitution, and present the truth to the American people, no matter where it leads, because no one is above the law. That’s what we have been doing, that’s what we are doing, that’s what we’re gonna continue to do moving forward.” Does anyone actually think that if the truth leads to Trump not being guilty of anything (as it has so far), the Democrats will say “Never mind” and go for, say, censure? Me neither. They long ago decided to impeach, and we all know it.

Oh, the interview just gets worse and worse. I link to it, in case you can stomach all the lies, just to let you know what we’re dealing with. If this isn’t the biggest pile of bilge I’ve ever heard, it sure is up there.

'The public apparently isn’t buying it at this point': Democrat brushes off diminishing support for impeachment

Jefferies is either ignorant or a liar in his assessment, and Chris Wallace responds with the heart of a RINO or never trumper he has no choice but to support the Republican outlook in this case even if he doesn’t like it. Chris Nepolitano style ??

I see this impeachment being sickening, but it amazes me to see the huge crowds supporting President Trump. The impeachment is driving people to our President. I hope these reviews turning into criminal prosecution results in some politicians paying whatever price is necessary to clean America's political scene.

Anyone buying this is just like the dems. They don't like President Trump. They were shocked beyond belief he was elected and started immediately trying to figure a way to get rid of him. Their playhouses are being threatened. Can you even imagine how much more could have been accomplished if Preident Trump didn't have to defend every move, comment, etc. And, if the dems would work with him, we would be in even better shape.
