Raging fires. Hot, dry winds. Evacuation orders. Hazardous air quality. Yes, we’ve all seen the pictures from California.

But this is a story about the beautiful state of Montana --- one that most of us in the rest of the country haven’t even heard about. What with all the hurricane destruction, hydrogen bomb explosion, anti-Trump obsession, Congressional implosion and (other) wildfire incineration going on in the country and the world right now, the news cycle doesn’t seem to have room for any more drama. So the burning of Montana may tie with Hillary’s brazen lawbreaking to take the prize for Most Ignored Story of 2017.

There are startling pictures at the link, including before-and-after pictures of Billings, Montana. This has been going on for some time; over half a million acres have burned since July. Let’s hope President Trump is paying more attention than the media are. Montana needs all the help it can get.

New Hillary excuse

By Mike Huckabee

Stop the presses: In her upcoming book, Hillary Clinton offers yet another excuse for losing the election! It turns out she lost because Bernie Sanders “promised everyone a pony,” and when she tried to explain that the government couldn’t afford to give everyone a pony, his far-left Democratic base attacked her for being cold and uncaring.

In other words, she was treated to the exact same mindless attacks on her motives that Democrats always use to attack Republicans when they try to explain that we can’t afford their latest big government giveaway plan. And the same backlash that liberal California legislators got from the Bernie Sanders far-left for not passing free government health care, even though it would have cost more twice the entire state budget. As Ed Krayewski at succinctly notes, politicians have advanced their careers by cultivating economic illiteracy among their voters, and now, it’s coming back to bite them.

A link to the Bible

By Mike Huckabee

Archeologists are continuing to unearth some fascinating relics that are giving us a better idea of what life was like in Biblical times. The latest find, from an excavation at Jerusalem's City of David, are dozens of pictographic seals from the 9th century B.C. Click the link to see the surprising things these seals tell us about the ancient Judean kingdom.

Shaming Antifa

By Mike Huckabee

Could this Christ-like response to an attack mark the beginning of the end of the violent, anti-free speech movement known as Antifa? Let us hope so. A big salute to the Patriot Prayer group for shaming them with their example. I would note, however, that they didn’t say, “Forgive them, Father, for they know not what they do.” They know exactly what they do. It’s up to the rest of us to stop tolerating them doing it.

Democrat Senator gets his day in court

By Mike Huckabee

The bribery corruption trial of New Jersey Sen. Robert Menendez kicked off Wednesday in rowdy style, with the judge telling a defense lawyer to “shut up.” Believe it or not, this is the first federal corruption trial of a Senator in 36 years. Because of the narrow party balance in the Senate, by keeping Menendez tied up, it could have a major effect on Senate votes.

By the way, Menendez is a Democrat. You’d be forgiven for thinking otherwise, considering that NBC News falsely identified him as a Republican.

News Bits

Here’s some more information about the natural disaster that’s not getting much media: the out-of-control wildfires that are ravaging Montana. Also worthy of note: the many brave Montanans who are setting just as fine an example as Texans are by helping save their neighbors.

Before you hear what a monster Trump’s Civil Rights chief appointee is, maybe you should actually meet him.

Some Senate Democrats seem to think being a Catholic disqualifies you from government. Three letters for them: “JFK.”

Re. DACA. Is America trying to act like GOD by wanting to find a way to deny His judgement by allowing the children to stay? I'm referring to Exodus 20 v. 5, where He says "I, the Lord, thy God, am a jealous God, visiting the iniquity of the fathers upon the children unto the third and fourth generation of them that hate Me, and showing mercy unto thousands of them that love Me and keep My Commandments".
