Alabama GOP Senate candidate Roy Moore is coming under increasing pressure from fellow Republicans to drop out of the race after a Washington Post piece accused him of engaging in sexual misconduct with a then-14-year-old girl, 38 years ago when he was 32. A number of Republican Senators have withdrawn their endorsements and the National Republican Senatorial Committee severed its fundraising ties with Moore’s campaign.

The first poll taken since the story broke shows Moore slipping behind Democrat Doug Jones. That could just be a momentary blip that could reverse itself as voters hear Moore’s side or learn more about the accuser. But the idea of losing such a safe seat is already panicking Republican leaders who are floating drastic scenarios for delaying the race or launching a write-in campaign for incumbent Luther Strange, who lost the primary to Moore.

On the other hand, many Moore supporters in Alabama are not only standing by him, but increasing their donations. They say they have known Moore for decades and are suspicious that this charge has never come up in any of his previous races, but only surfaced in the Washington Post, which endorsed his Democratic opponent, once it was too late to change the ballot. They see it as an attempt by a liberal paper in Washington to pick Alabama's Senator.

Let's suppose for a moment that the accusations being made by this woman are correct. That some 35 or 40 years ago, a 32 year old, single attorney made some very stupid mistakes. His actions were then deplorable and shameful. A young girl was traumatized and probably in need of counseling in order for her to go on with her life. Are we to now, today, to stand in judgement for a foolish act or a really dumb decision on the part of someone who's actions later in life are totally contrary to the person who was responsible for this original sin. What would I have to pay for if the stupid decisions I made 40 years ago were to ever come to light as I know most of you who read these comments are also hiding. None of us are perfect. How many locker room conversations have you been involved in? How many times have you looked at a young girl or guy who you knew was under age but looked like they were well advanced in years? And these are not actions restricted to men as I have overheard many conversations from the female side that were laughable and if to be judged shocking to hear from supposedly upright ladies. If we were to really get into the past actions of some these self righteous politicians and media pundits who are now puffing their chests over the totally defenseless accusations being made by this woman against Judge Moore, what would we find. Do we think all of them are lily white? And what about her? Her stepson has stepped up and accused her of lying about this activity. This kind of mud slinging has no place in our political system. It is somehow always the last few days of a political battle where these women and or men in some cases, show up to smear a candidate. Certainly some of these accusations have merit but we don't have any way to find out which ones are real and which are false. Based on what we know of Judge Moores track record as an attorney and judge, without the non provable accusations, he is a qualified and worthy candidate for the position for which he is challenging. Give him the benefit of the doubt. Those among you who haven't sinned cast the first stone.

WHY DID THESE WOMEN WAIT SO LONG TO COME FORWARD? IT'S JUST A POLITICAL HATCHET JOB AGAINST JUDGE MOORE.

This is the most consistent comment in these pages. "These women are just now coming forward? They are obviously part of a leftist Democrat smear campaign."

Notice the utter lack of Christian compassion for these women: What if just one of them is telling the truth?

Understand this: Sexual predators don't usually come forward and say,"They're right. I did it. I'm guilty."

    They usually attack their accusers.

Scores of women recently came forward about Bill Cosby after decades. Was your first thought, in that context, "Why did they wait so long? They must be lying"? No. You believed them. There was a consistent pattern of predatory behavior. Drug, then rape.

Read this article from Pat Robertson's Christian Broadcasting Network: http://www1.cbn.com/cbnnews/2017/october/brave-women-in-church-come-forward-with-metoo-in-wake-of-hollywood-sex-abuse-scandal

The article recites that Kay Warren, wife of megachurch pastor and author Rick Warren revealed on Twitter that she was a victim of sexual abuse: "A pedophile molested me when I was a little girl. It’s taken decades to heal. #MeToo". Why did she wait so long? Is she a lefty, a Democrat? A lesbian? Part of a conspiracy? Desperate for her 15 minutes of fame? No. She's the wife of a leading Christian pastor. She simply bears the scars of decades-old abuse, as do many women.

An article in Christianity Today states: "In recent years, our society has begun to better understand the widespread problem of child sexual abuse. Conservative studies indicate that one out of three girls and one out of seven boys will be sexually abused before reaching 18 years of age, regardless of religious or socio-economic demographic." http://www.christianitytoday.com/pastors/2008/april-online-only/sexual-abuse-issues-in-church-raising-bar.html

That is, if you are a woman, there is a one-third chance that you were abused. Also, you probably never told anyone. YOU have born that pain, in silence, for decades. These statistics from the United Church of God should break your heart:

"These figures, as shocking as they are, do not tell the whole story. Crimes of sexual abuse are highly likely to go unreported. Many victims believe that they are somehow at fault for the abuse and are full of shame and guilt. Also, many fear reprisal if they report the offense. Again according to RAINN, only about 28 percent (less than 1 in 3) of actual rapes and sexual assaults were reported to the police. Among children the statistics of silence are even greater. Of children in grades 5 to 12 who had been sexually abused, 48 percent of the boys and 29 percent of the girls told no one, not even a friend.

Since the likelihood of capture, prosecution and conviction diminishes the longer the time between the assault and the report, keeping silent allows the abuser to continue to abuse without fear. Some researchers estimated that only 5 percent of all rapists ever spend any time in jail for their crimes; 19 of 20 do not."

    https://www.ucg.org/united-news/from-the-word-what-christians-need-to-know-about-sexual-abuse

Frank Houston was a leading Pentecostal figure in Australia. He was also a serial child abuser, and 50 pastors knew it, but no one went to the police. http://religionnews.com/2014/10/17/hillsong-church-abuse-unreported-perpetrator-rewarded/ This portion is relevant: One of Houston’s victims told a Royal Commission: “I was so ashamed of the abuse that I kept it inside for many years and did not tell anyone.” Survivors silenced by years of shame are often empowered to come forward and report after finding out about child sexual abuse investigations and learning that they are not alone."

Hello? did you hear that? "So ashamed...for years...did not tell anyone...Survivors...often...come forward... after learning that they are not alone." Not Democrats. Just kids.

You rightly state that Judge Moore is innocent until proven guilty. (Of course, there will never be a trial.) Then you lash out at the "whores" who have come forward. How about this: Their stories, and their pain, are to be believed until proven false. Give them a presumption that mirrors the benefit of the doubt that you give to Judge Moore.

Are you a compassionate Christian, or just an angry right-winger to whom the teachings of God are irrelevant?

    This from below:

    "Diane S Maupin

The Republicans and FOX has had members of these type of accusations thrown at them by the liberal press and liberal Democrats in particular."

Yes. Accusations have been made against Fox news. Some of them, regarding alleged attacks that took place 20 years ago. Why did these women wait so long to make these claims?

    Fishy?

Consider this: Roger Ailes was accused of harassment by numerous women, going back decades. Fox hired a law firm to investigate. They encouraged any woman who had a claim, no matter how far back, to come forward. They did, in droves.

In the end, Rupert Murdoch told Ailes, his friend, who had made BILLIONS in profit for Murdoch, to leave. Was this a liberal plot? Obviously not - Murdoch - who could have kept Ailes - fired him. Because he read the law firm's report, and saw what Ailes had been up to, that Ailes could destroy Fox news just as easily as he built it. The women who came forward were conservatives. No democrat was in on that decision.

Same with Bill O'Reilly. Many, many women came forward, all with the same story, some going back decades. Fox fired him. The women who came forward were conservatives. No democrat was in on that decision.

Eric Bolling was also fired by Fox. The evidence? Actual photos of his privates that he had sent, unsolicited, to women. There's no "he said - she said" here - the photos said it all, and all Bolling could say was that he had made a "mistake." A "MISTAKE"? Try that line on your wife after sending such photos to other women. Better yet, blame the democrats.

Friends, Fox News has been exploding with this stuff, and it doesn't come from lefty lesbians. It comes from women who dedicated their lives and professions to the conservative philosophy of Fox news. And how were they rewarded? With horrible harassment.

NONE of the scandals at Fox were orchestrated by Democrats or the Washington Post. The accusers were conservatives, and the Fox executives who fired these monsters were conservatives.

Was Jm Bakker "set up" by the left? Was Jimmy Swaggert "set up" by the left? Was Harvey Weistein set up by the right? No - Weinstein was PROTECTED by the left.

Just as Judge Moore is being PROTECTED by the right.

Do these facts tell you anything?

I quote from Lucille Yuen, below: “Judge Moore stood in moral rightness all his long career because that's his character.”

I quote from Trish Dukes, below: “I don't know how anyone can believe these accusations made a few weeks prior to an election against a man with a spotless life and career in public service!”

Ms. Yuen, you refer to your son as a man of “39 [who] has no interest in being in a romantic relationship with immature teen agers. He wants a young woman in his life who is a match for him.

There are many stories, with names attributed, of people who live in Gadsden, who have known Judge Moore all his life. (While you attest to his fine character, I suspect you’ve never met the man, not spoken with anyone who knows him.) These stories carry a theme: Judge Moore, in his thirties, hanging around the Gadsden Mall and the local YMCA, trying to pick up teenage girls.

    Check this article: https://www.newyorker.com/news/news-desk/locals-were-troubled-by-roy-moores-interactions-with-teen-girls-at-the-gadsden-mall

Now, it is in the New Yorker, so you won’t like that, but the author does name names of people in Gadsden who talk about Moore pursuing girls half his age. You can look these people up and call them. Thus, you won’t have to take the word of some Ne York lefty reporter. You can speak to the people in Gadsden - people who voted for him, voted for Trump.

Since you don’t KNOW Roy Moore, you can speak to actual locals - good, conservative Christians - who do. Ask them.

I agree, Ms. Yuen - Roy Moore is anything but stupid. Nor is Denny Hastert, former GOP Speaker of the House. “He is the longest-serving Republican Speaker of the House in history, and is the highest-ranking politician in U.S. history to have gone to prison.” Why did he go to prison? Although he was a crusader against perverts, he had molested under age boys, then paid MILLIONS in hush money. That’s NOT leftist propaganda.

Here’s one you’ll like better: Elliot Spitzer was the Dem governor of New York State when he was found to have paid for sexual services.

No, these men - left, right, straight, secretly gay - aren’t stupid. But if they are politicians, and they expect to get away with dirty play, they should know that they WILL be found out.

Ladies, this is not a leftist plot. These victims are good, conservative Christian southerners who voted for Trump. They will face the anger of their neighbors and churchmates. That’s not the kind of 15 minute fame that any rural southerner wants. But what these women do have - is courage.

Judah sinned, and repented. David sinned, and repented. Mary Magdalene sinned, and repented.

    Judge Moore?

    Dear Gov. Huckabee,

THIS IS MOST IMPORTANT! Sir, don't you realize, even though you have been out of the Christian pastorate, and possibly/probably? away from daily Scripture reading for quite some time....that Roy Moore, even if he is guilty the offense with the alleged 14 year old girl when he was 32(?), that he is most very likely, a very much changed man, and that he is surely much better than ALL the current U.S. senators!!!???!!! Surely, (and least i hope so), you are not so brainwashed to believe the old slogan of "a FEW bad apples", to think that our U.S. Senate only has supposedly a minority of wicked persons in it, ...that is, children of the devil! The fact that they were responsible for the obamacare overturn failing, and also responsible for the tax bill going nowhere, and who knows what else they are responsible for never passing, since Trump has been in office...that these things should speak clear indicators and warnings about the quality and integrity of our current Senate....not just that....BUT, DON'T FORGET, IT WAS ROY MOORE WHO COURAGEOUSLY STOOD UP FOR GOD BY DEFENDING AND PROMOTING THE 10 COMMANDMENTS....IT DOESN'T TAKE ROCKET SCIENCE TO REALIZE THAT THE REASON THE MEDIA WENT TO THE PLACE OF HIS BIRTH AND UPBRINGING WAS BECAUSE THEY WERE TRYING TO FIND DIRT ON HIM IN THE FIRST PLACE!

I fully acknowledge that it appears he is guilty of the crime many years ago. BUT, IT STILL REMAINS, the alleged victim COULD BE LYING AND PAID OFF....this would NOT BE NEW AT ALL FOR THE LIBERAL WICKED TO DO THIS....I.E. THIS TYPE OF SMEARING AND DECEPTIONS AND EVIL.

If Moore is truly guilty, REMEMBER, HE DID NOT RAPE THE WOMAN. HE DID NOT FORCE HER AGAINST HER WILL TO PERFORM SEXUAL ACTS! What he did was illegal, and not at all right, if he did indeed do those things claimed by this alleged victim. But, i did some sexual things i am ashamed of when i was in my twenties, and since turning 30, (only 2 or, 1.5 years apart from Moore), as i am not totally sure at what precise time, i came fully out of my backslide, when i fully was separated unto God...but, the point of it is that Moore, for whatever spiritual/emotional issues were going on in his life, (he was backslidden for sure- if he was already a Christian); if not, he became one later, and we know that the Bible talks about "the sins of one's youth". I never did anything close to what Moore is accused of, but, his behavior does not reflect a wicked man....or, child of the devil...a child of the devil would have raped the woman, and likely, murdered her afterwards! If this whole thing is true, Moore had troubling psychological/spiritual issues going on, that he became free from at some point later....AND THE TRUTH OF THE MATTER IS....HE HAS BECOME A HERO FOR GOD, SINCE!
Based on the fact that Moore HAS BECOME SUCH A DIE-HARD AND COURAGEOUS CHRISTIAN, IS IT ANY WONDER THAT THE U.S. REPUBLICAN SENATE, WHO ARE MOSTLY BY FAR, CHILDREN OF THE DEVIL, AND THE REPUBLICAN CONGRESS, WHO ARE VASTLY, BUT, NOT NEARLY AS MUCH, ALSO, CHILDREN OF THE DEVIL, WOULD COME AGAINST A MAN WHO APPARENTLY AND ALLEGEDLY WAS TROUBLED IN HIS EARLY YEARS, AND SINNED AGAINST THIS GIRL, BUT, THAT, SINCE THAT TIME, HAS NO MARKS AGAINST HIM....SO, IS IT THE CASE THAT, WE AS CHRISTIANS STAY SILENT, OR, WORSE, JOIN THE EVIL LIBERAL CROWD CRUCIFYING HIM, WHEN HE HAS DONE MUCH FOR GOOD FOR GOD AND FOR THE CHRISTIAN CAUSE IN HIS LATER YEARS!!!???!!!

DON'T FORGET THAT THE devil PERSECUTES MOST THOSE WHO STAND FOR GOD THE MOST, AND THOSE WHO ARE MOST TRUSTING AND OBEDIENT TO GOD. NOT JUST THAT, BUT, SINCE OUR GOVERNING LEGISLATORS ARE ALL COMPROMISED IN CORRUPTION WITH THEIR OWN HIDDEN EVILS, THE SAME WAY obama WAS NEVER ACCUSED PUBLICLY OF ANY EVIL WHATSOEVER, YET, HE WAS SO VERY GUILTY, AND, OF COURSE, THEY ARE ALL OPPOSED TO THE TRUE GOSPEL, BECAUSE THEY ARE EITHER TARES-(LIKELY)- OR UNASHAMED CHILDREN OF THE DEVIL MASQUERADING AS SUPPOSED RIGHTEOUS MEN & WOMEN, BUT, NOT RELIGIOUS, IS IT ANY WONDER THAT THEY, & CONGRESS ARE COMING OUT AGAINST MOORE, EVEN THOUGH HE HAS VIGOROUSLY DENIED THE ACCUSATIONS??? WHERE ARE THE CHRISTIAN LEADERS SPEAKING OUT TO GIVE HIM AT THE VERY LEAST, THE BENEFIT OF THE DOUBT, AND SPEAKING OF THE DISHONEST MEDIA AND CLEAR AND EVIDENT FAKE NEWS THAT ABOUNDS? WHERE ARE VOICES FOR THIS? THEY ARE ALL COWERING IN FEAR, AND AFRAID FOR THEIR OWN SKIN, AND NOT HELPING A PROVEN MAN OF GOD!!!

ASK YOURSELF? IS THIS RIGHT? ALSO, ASK YOURSELF, WHAT IS THE LIKELIHOOD, THAT MOORE, EVEN IF GUILTY OF HIS INDISCRETIONS IN THE BACK OF THAT DINER THAT NIGHT-(IF INDEED THE EVENTS AS DESCRIBED TOOK PLACE)-IF HE ISN'T 10 TIMES BETTER A PERSON THAN THE BEST IN THE SENATE CURRENTLY????

THE FINAL POINT I WANT TO MAKE IS THAT THE LIBERAL WICKED ELITE IN OUR COUNTRY GOT WHAT THEY WANTED ON MOORE, AND THE BIBLICAL CHRISTIANS, IF MOORE DOES NOT STAY IN THE RACE, LOST BIG-TIME! IN THE END, THE devil WINS AGAIN!!!

Regarding Susan Lange's comment below that Beverly Young Nelson's body language proves she was lying about Judge Moore attacking her -
watch the exact video that she refers to on Youtube at https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kRRGbLVIW84.
This Youtube commentator is described a "body language expert Bombard" on many right wing web sites, including this one:
    http://thegatewaypundit.com/2017/11/fake-body-language-expert-says-judge-moore-accuser-acting-not-real-victim-video/
But we find out that it's not a "body language expert" in the video - it's a computer named "Bombard" reading a script written by an unknown person.
Who is Bombard? Where did Bombard get her training as a body language expert? How many times has Bombard testified as an expert witness, been certified by a court to testify as an expert witness?
    ZERO times.
But Ms. Lange, who was beginning to doubt Judge Moore, is now reassured, having been convinced by "Bombard."
Ms. Lange, who is "Bombard"? Who is behind Bombard? And why do you now believe an anonymous computer voice on a radical right Youtube channel, instead of the live woman whose tearful testimony broke your heart and stirred your soul?
Watch Ms. Nelson again, then watch "Bombard" again, then pray on that. Take a few minutes. Maybe you've stepped away from Truth.
God save us all from this madness.

Put yourself in these women's shoes.
Your a 16 year old girl. The most powerful law enforcement official in the county tricks you into riding with him to a secluded area. He starts grabbing you, locks the car door. The ultimate female nightmare.
He gives up, but warns you, "You're just a child, I'm the district attorney if you tell anyone about this no one will ever believe you."
You leave the car, crying uncontrollably.
    What do you do next?
Nothing. You're in absolute shock. Can you go to the police? The complaint is - these women waited 40 years. Imagine if she went to the police that night - "The D.A. tried to rape me." Would she be believed? Of course not. Some hysterical girl, probably had a fight with Mommy or her boyfriend, "OK. Prove it."

She lives in a small town of good, God-fearing people. But even such people do gossip, notwithstanding the Biblical prohibition. Who would believe her? Her pastor? If he did, what would he say? "Go to the police"? Probably not. "Pray." Probably yes. What would YOU have told her to do, in that time, in that place, under that District Attorney, the one who signed your yearbook, "Love."

Have you ever been assaulted by a well respected person in authority, or even by a neighborhood boy? IT STAYS WITH YOU FOREVER. YOU NEVER GET OVER IT. IT'S IN YOUR MIND THE MOMENT YOU WAKE UP, THE MOMENT YOU GOT TO SLEEP, AND IN-BETWEEN.

So you bury it. You never tell a soul.

Then, years later, women come forward. Women who experienced similar treatment from the same man. That long-buried horror explodes in your brain and it's all you can think about day and night. You're crying, can't eat, can't sleep. Your husband says, "Honey, what's wrong?" Finally, you pour it all out. HE believes you - it would be impossible NOT to believe you. You both voted for Trump. You've been a conservative Christian your whole life.

Now what? Go to your pastor, get some counseling? Go to the local - staunchly pro-Moore - newspaper? Where do you go? But you know one thing: You can no longer keep silent. You're going to tell the truth, even if it means no one in your town or church will ever speak to you again.

Judah slept with a prostitute, or so he thought. Turns out it was his daughter in law. She's now pregnant, and deserving of death - or so we think. What does she do? "I played hooker and he promised to pay me and here's his seal, cord and staff." What's the reaction? "She stole them from his tent to make a cover story. Why did it take her so long to come forward? Who can believe a woman who dresses like a prostitute and sleeps with men for pay?"

But Judah was a man of God. Further, if Tamar were executed, would there be a further Davidic line? So Judah told the truth.

Remember when so many Republicans said that character matters? Albert Mohler, president of The Southern Baptist Theological Seminary: “If I were to support, much less endorse, Donald Trump for president, I would actually have to go back and apologize to former President Bill Clinton.”

Many say it doesn't matter. God has forgiven Judge Moore. But how do they know that? Has he confessed his sin? Has he done sincere repentance? Does God forgive every sinner who calls himself a Christian, even if he does not ask for that forgiveness? How do you know?

Maybe it's time for Judge Moore to be Judah. Even if she did go to the one notorious feminist lawyer who would believe her. Even if she did conceal this horror for forty years of daily pain, shame and humiliation.

The truth will always come out, if not today, then in the Hereafter. No matter how many people try to cover for him.

I don't buy it. Judge Moore isn't stupid. He would not have gotten romantic with young teen aged girls that way. My son is 39 and he has no interest in being in a romantic relationship with immature teen agers. He wants a young woman in his life who is a match for him. Judge Moore stood in moral rightness all his long career because that's his character. Liberal crooks with perverted minds can do the things they accuse him of, but this is just a desperate attempt to take him out of the race and nothing more. People who would bail on him now, are being foolish.

I don't know how anyone can believe these accusations made a few weeks prior to an election against a man with a spotless life and career in public service! It's a hit job by the left to destroy an innocent man and it's both heartbreaking and maddening. I pray ignorant people will open their eyes, use wisdom and reason, and see the truth! I will vote for him and convince everyone I can to do the same!

True Conservatives must get behind Judge Moore, because this is a blatant attack by the left to destroy his campaign. The left does this all the time. When a Conservative gets traction, out come the "victims," still hysterical decades after an alleged inappropriate invitation or unwelcome touch. Then after the candidate withdraws, the women are never heard from again. Could the liberals be any more obvious? Let the RINOs run for the hills, the traitors. The burden is on true conservatives to help Pres Trump make this nation great again. And to do that, we need more decent people in office, like Judge Moore.

I've gone back and forth with my feelings about this situation. Yesterday, with the revealing if the yearbook, I thought very well could be guilty. However, today after reading some interesting info on yesterday's accuser body language told a whole different story. The whole situation is too much the same as other smear tactics that have gone on. These women just want their 15 minutes of fame.

I still don't believe the allegations. You know it's a fake story when you have: (1) allegations that are published by the Washington Post, (2) allegations that surface just before an election, and (3) when Gloria Allred enters the picture. But what bothers me the most, is that if Roy more wins, Mitch McConnell and others will still do everything they can to keep him from getting that Senate seat. They are scared to death that they will not be able to "control" him. Roy Moore is definitely not part of the "establishment Republicans" and Mitch McConnell knows it and that is why he is afraid of him.

These alleged `violated' women never seemed to raise their voices in previous elections for Judge Moore, but 40 years later they now muster the courage? Under our American justice system, a citizen is assumed innocent until proven guilty to a jury of peers. We stand by the jury's decision. But in this case (I'm not even sure if formal criminal charges have been made), the jury's decision would fall far later than this senate election. So do we resort to a media jury, jury of public opinion? It is frightening to think that the outcome to such an important election could by sabotaged by a handful of lying opponents (who were perhaps paid?). Equally frightening would be putting into office a man with a sordid background. I don't think anyone but a few people know the real truth. But yet the Alabama citizens are put in the position of being a jury without the benefit of a fair trial. Tremendous risk for all parties either way. Oh, what is Alabama to do...?

Hopefully the rebels in Alabama who saw the DC establishment was trying to disenfranchise their vote will rally around Judge Moore as they did in the primary. If not, you can bet the ruling elites will continue to hand pick people who with help them maintain their power and authority over us with little or no say by WE THE PEOPLE.

I’ve lived my entire life in PA until two years ago. Now I live in Massachusetts. I’m a retired paper maker. Where can I send a donation to Roy Moore’s campaign!?!

Thank you for sharing this, Governor Huckabee. I have been waiting for Gloria Allred to show up. And she did. Now I know for certain it is all coached lies. I totally support Judge Roy Moore, and I hope he will sue the socks off all of these accusers and show the world what they really are. I also hope everyone, no matter what state you live in, will dig deep and send donations to his campaign. We need Judge Moore in Washington!

The smell of political assassination is all over this. This is how the "left" deals, off the bottom of the deck. When will this character assassination stop?

Come on people. Some make it seem like they want to win for the sake of winning. They must win or they are screwed. Their treachery is being exposed and they are desperate. Desperate people do desperate things. Don't be surprised at anything they do.

Think people...the left is playing with your mind.
Roy Moore is on the verge of winning the election to Senate.
The Left has scripted a nuclear smear campaign to destroy him and swipe the seat.
But think about it...Judge Moore is only accused not convicted. He hasn't even had a day in court. Not fair.
Not even enough time to clear his name.
I say, stay the course. Elect him. Let the truth then come out. If he is found guilty, he will be removed from office. But the seat stays Republican and the Governor can name a Replacement or launch a new election.
If the seat goes liberal Democrat, it will be a disaster we will reap the consequences for years.
And I will add a personal note...if Roy Moore is not elected and if he is found innocent, then we will all be found ashamed and embarrassed that we let a good man be destroyed.
    Message from Senator Hank Erwin

I agree with his supporters. I hope the citizens of Alabama who support Moore, don't allow unsubstantiated allegations stop them from supporting him.

I've watched Judge Roy Moore for years, since Alabama's judicial ethics panel removed Chief Justice Roy Moore from office for defying a federal judge's order to move a Ten Commandments monument from the state Supreme Court building. After the ruling, Moore said he was not surprised by the decision and that he was being removed from office because he "acknowledged God." and I believe he was (and is) 100% right! I pray for Judge Roy Moore, that the lies against him will be exposed and he will exonerated. Roy Moore is God's man!

This reminds me of a Forensic Files episode I saw earlier this week where a sect in Oregon put salmonella in the food in restaurants and grocery stores so the people would be too sick to get out and vote against their candidate. Dirty politicians won't stop at anything! Problem is - even if Alabama supports Judge Moore and he wins, won't he have a problem being confirmed by the Senate if they've already pulled their support? Prayers for Judge Moore!!!

If there is any truth to this then yes he should dropout, however it seems to me that if this happen 38 years ago there would have been stuff come out before now.....I mean he is and has been in the public spotlight for years and years.......just looking at that I have a hard time believing anything happened. I saw where one accuser was connected to Biden, and the other has an accuse happy history. This is just too fishy for the smell test. And why is it that they always accuse sex stuff anyway.....because even if they cant prove it or just a lie, there is some damage by just the accusation anyway.

Absolutely amazing that everyone is so willing to drop Judge Moore so quickly and with no corroboration or trial. He's very, very dangerous to the establishment and the Democrats both in Alabama and in DC. Let him run, win the seat, stand trial if necessary, and if convicted then another Republican can be appointed in his place. Why hand over a Senate to seat to a democrat without a fight? Oh, yes, I forgot...it is the spineless wimps in DC called rinos who do that.

Personally, I feel this is not only an effort by Democrats to defame Judge Moore to win the seat but also an opportunistic attempt by the Republicans to manipulate this situation and replace Judge Moore with their preferred and fully endorsed pick Luther Strange. Which makes me very suspicious of the motive behind it.

Judge Moore needs to stay in. Mitch McConnell, John McCain and others need to step aside. You have Democrats that have broken the law, called for impeachment with no merit, disrespected our President, and even went so far as asking for his assianation with no push back from RNC. Jeff Sessons needs to resign and let somebody start legal cases against Hillary and her cronys.

I do not know Roy Moore, but I do know the democrats. I believe the whole thing is made up. The Democratic Party will stoop to any level to win. They do not care how badly they hurt their opponent. They just want to win. I will support Roy Moore until there is actual substantiated proof that he is guilty.

I don't know whether Judge Roy Moore is guilty of the charges..........and guess what....neither does anyone else!!!
Has he had his day in court ......or do we even need courts of law anymore? The court of public opinion seems to be our judicial system. It really makes me sick!!!
Personnaly...I wouldn't put anything past the elite Democrats and Republicans!! Gloria Albright....really!!!! GOOD GRIEF!!

I believe Judge Moore. I mean come on, isn't it funny this lady or any of them NEVER came out when he was a lawyer, then running for judge, didn't even say something when he announced he was running. No, they waited till he was winning the race. I stinks of politics and i wouldn't be suprised if somehow the dem's are paying these ladies to say something. I mean this new accuser that came out today that she "he almost raped her", what does almost mean. Why are you waiting till today when a different lady came out like 2 weeks ago, maybe because he said he is not stepping down. What's next, he ALMOST killed someone? This stinks of politics big time. I personally think if these women speak the truth, the judge moore should file cases and let them step up and explain why they are waiting till a week before coming forward under oath. Bet they won't step up because jail time for lieing and/or misleading is scary, plus an investgation might start showing dems involvement.
What happened to innoncent till proven guilty. These are accusations, thats it. But everyone is jumping and taken the womens truth about these events. Havnt we learned over the last couple years that women will file false charges to get attention. Look at the college girl who RUINED that kids life and walked around with a matterss saying she was raped when she wasnt. Or that other girl who filed charges against the 7 frat brothers who were expelled only to find out later she made the whole story up. The man is innocent till proof shows otherwise, and the fact they waited almost 40 years does not look good on thier side. So all these dems, reps, and mitch need to shut up becuase theres no evidence provided other then thier words.

These are false accusations! I have lived in Alabama my whole life! I have never heard the rumors if these stories! Me and my family will be voting for Judge Moore! I have been Republican my whole life but the Republican party (Mitch) are spinless and weak!

Whatever happens to the women who make false accusations against these men running for office? It seems to me that if these women can't PROVE anything really happened, they should be punished in some way for lying. Perhaps that would sort the chaff from the wheat.

I can’t know the truth, but I’m very suspicious. It’s right out of the democRATS playbook to make these kinds of accusations when a race is close. Remember what they did to Clarence Thomas and Arnold Schwarznegger. They have pulled stunts like this before when a race was close.

I know nothing of Judge Moore and what occurred some 38 years ago. I am appalled that ever since I started following politics closely after I retired from full time work that politicians will do anything to destroy an opponent’s career, personal reputation and family to silence voices they disagree with. If they can’t beat them on issues, they dig for something in their personal life and if there is nothing to find they simply make it up. Sex allegations seem to be the favorite sleazy, slimy tactic of the day. Politicians need to get out of the muck and remember they are called to be servants of the people, not power mad Caligulas.

While not a Moore supporter, I do support the Constitution. 1 person 1 vote. Innocent until PROVEN guilty.? Is WAPO accusation good enough for Republicans now.
If this seat is lost it will be the fault of Swamp Critter anti-Trump Republicrats...there is NO PROOF against Moore.
