We’ve been hearing Mark Zuckerberg claim for months that Facebook isn’t biased against conservatives, even as the number of conservative users and media outlets that are banned from Facebook has been rising. The “reason” is always that they’ve violated Facebook’s terms of service or were circulating “fake” or “misleading” political news (which should have gotten CNN banned for life) or vaguely-defined “hate speech,” but the details are usually fuzzy or amount to maybe one story that got something wrong and was already corrected (again, how many times does CNN do that?)

Some conservative media leaders have begun sounding alarms that this is not a coincidence, but part of a concerted effort to silence non-leftist voices; that having encouraged everyone to move away from independent websites and blogs to giant social media sites, the ultra-liberal curators of those sites are now systematically weeding out conservative voices.

Hurricane Michael Update

By Mike Huckabee

Residents of some of the hardest-hit areas of the Florida Panhandle such as Mexico Beach are slowly returning to view with shock and grief the devastation that was once their homes.  But some had it even worse: seven more deaths have now been attributed to Hurricane Michael, bringing the total to 33 so far. These neighbors of yours and mine have lost everything and are in desperate and immediate need.  Donations of any amount are greatly appreciated at or   And if you have some time and would like to volunteer, Samaritan’s Purse could use you on the scene.  For information on how to help, please visit their website.

Why the Democrats must be defeated

By Mike Huckabee

Here’s the type of message you need to read and share with all your family and friends from now until November 6th: John Hinderaker with just the latest outrageous example of why the Democrats must be defeated.

This has gone beyond simply differing with Republicans on one issue or another, or wincing at President Trump’s latest tweet. From the top down, the Democrats have thrown in their lot with the forces of rage, bullying, intimidation, mob rule and the shredding of Constitutional rights, due process and the basic niceties of society that allow people of differing views to live together without devolving into warring tribes.  Here’s another example of how not even physical assaults on Republicans have stopped some Democrats from irresponsibly calling for more violence.

If you care about preserving civilized behavior and the fundamental American principle of freedom of thought, you cannot reward this sick behavior with your vote, and you cannot trust these deranged people with power.  If you have to crawl over broken glass to vote to keep the Democrats far away from holding any power over you and your family, then I’d suggest you buy some thick kneepads and a box of Band-Aids and start crawling.

Defamation lawsuit

By Mike Huckabee

The anti-Trump forces within the DC swamp who thought they could weaponized the legal system to criminalize their political opponents are about to learn that there are two legal systems in America: the criminal and the civil.  And their target Carter Page just slapped the DNC, its law firm, Perkins Coie and two of its partners with a defamation lawsuit over their targeting of him via the Steele “dossier” on Trump.

I wish him well on recovering damages, and I eagerly look forward to what his attorneys might unearth during the discovery phase.  Possibly more than Congress has been allowed to discover in two years of investigations and subpoenas.

One woman's view: UPDATE on Sen. Susan Collins --- the backlash

By Laura Ainsworth

When Maine Sen. Susan Collins spoke before the Senate to explain her vote to support Supreme Court nominee Brett Kavanaugh, she knew she would face tremendous retribution. It took a lot of bravery to avoid caving and go with the principle of “innocent until proven guilty,” but she did so in a superb tribute to American judicial values, and I have never been prouder of anyone. As expected, the backlash from the bullying left has been relentless ever since.

We must always remember,” she said from the podium, “that it is when passions are most inflamed that fairness is most in jeopardy.” She was talking about the shameful treatment of Kavanaugh, but she could just as easily have been talking about what was happening and would continue to happen to her.

Religious freedom win

By Mike Huckabee

In a welcome victory for religious freedom and free speech rights, the city of Atlanta has agreed to pay a $1.2 million settlement to former fire chief Kelvin Cochran.  He was fired for self-publishing a book on his Christian faith with quotes from the Bible, some of which criticized sodomy or spoke of marriage being between a man and a woman, which caused LGBTQ activists to accuse him of being anti-gay.  The Alliance Defending Freedom took his case pro bono and spent three years battling to defend his right to free religious expression during his off-duty hours.  They not only got Cochran the settlement but a court struck down as unconstitutional Atlanta’s policy requiring government employees to get permission before engaging in free speech outside of their jobs.

Congratulations to Kelvin Cochran and the ADF for standing up and fighting for the First Amendment.  And I love the way some conservatives are describing this story: “SPLC-branded ‘hate group’ wins First Amendment rights case for discriminated-against African-American.’”
