CALIFORNIA'S PROBLEMS ARE SPREADING
Why have once reliably Republican states like Arizona, Colorado and even Georgia started to go blue? One reason is the influx of people fleeing California, who then vote for the same insane leftist policies they fled from (Georgia has become a center for movie and TV production, and courted Hollywood to move there, little realizing what would come along with it.)
The editors of Issues & Insights have catalogued the problems with California that have plunged the once-Golden State to 47th out of 50 states on the Fraser Institute’s Economic Freedom Index and that are spreading across America.
This article might start other states wondering if all of California shouldn't be put under a “stay at home” quarantine to keep from infecting neighboring states with lethal “progressive” policies.
CUOMO TO GET AN AWARD?!?
I knew that Hollywood was a fantasy factory, but this pushes the envelope even for them: New York Gov. Andrew Cuomo, who presided over forcing nursing homes to take COVID-19 patients, and the highest coronavirus death figures of any state by far, and who recently engaged in fearmongering by saying people shouldn’t take a vaccine if it came out under Trump, will be given this year’s Emmy Founders Award “in recognition of his leadership during the Covid-19 pandemic and his masterful use of television to inform and calm people around the world.”
The Emmy Founders Award is presented to an individual or organization who “crosses cultural boundaries to touch our common humanity.” And apparently, to increase our mortality.
The best I can say about this is that since it will be given out during the Emmy Awards telecast, at least nobody will see it.
THE RESET
You might have heard the term “The Great Reset” suddenly being talked about everywhere this week and trending on social media. It refers to the idea that wealthy liberal elitists are salivating at a Biden Presidency as their opportunity to use the pandemic to “reset” world power, with themselves and NGOs like the World Health Organization and the UN assuming far more control so that they can crush populist movements, assert globalism over American sovereignty and exceptionalism, and put severe limits on individual rights and freedoms.
The New York Times is (stop me if you’ve heard this before) dismissing it as a wild and crazy conspiracy theory. In that case, someone should get the word to wealthy liberal elitists like John Kerry, Justin Trudeau and others that they should stop openly talking about how much they’re looking forward to the reset.
TWO REGULATION CHANGES AIMED AT LOWERING PRESCRIPTION DRUG PRICES
Friday, President Trump announced two major regulation changes aimed at lowering prescription drug prices. He claims one of them could save $28 billion for Medicare recipients through lower co-pays.
The pharmaceutical industry is expected to fight the rules in court and drag out implementation in hopes that Biden becomes President and undoes them. Which would be a shame, since if Biden becomes President, Americans are going to need all the tranquilizers and blood pressure-lowering drugs they can afford.
WILD CONSPIRACY THEORIES
The media are trying to accuse Trump supporters of wanting to overturn a free and fair election by pushing wild conspiracy theories. That remains to be seen, but one thing is for certain: the Democrats don’t have a leg to stand on when it comes to this subject.
Victoria Taft at PJ Media compiled a by-no-means comprehensive list of just 10 of the many fake conspiracy theories that the left and the media have tarred Trump with over the past four years. As they say in click bait articles, “You won’t believe #7!” In fact, you shouldn’t believe it, since it’s a thoroughly debunked lie, even though Joe Biden repeatedly cited it as the reason he decided to run for President.
ICYMI: BLIND SQUIRREL FINDS NUT
I don't know how this happened, but the New York Times ran an editorial scolding leftists to accept the reality that the United States is a nation of individual states, not one big centralized country; stop trying to rewrite the Constitution to conform with their idea of fairness; and realize that outside of big blue cities and university campuses, it is “madness” to think that ideas like “defund the police” and “abolish ICE” could “be the platform of a competitive party nationwide.” Counting down to the Times' triggered young staffers threatening to quit in 3...2...1...
