Pentagon officials now believe that the Ukrainian airliner that crashed after takeoff from Tehran was shot down by mistake by an Iranian anti-aircraft missile.

I’m now starting the countdown until the Democrats and the media begin blaming the crash and the 176 deaths on President Trump.  I can already hear it: “If Trump hadn’t retaliated for the attacks on our base and Embassy, and forced the Iranians to fire missiles at us, they wouldn’t have been so paranoid that Trump might retaliate for that and accidentally shot down a passenger plane.  It’s ALL TRUMP’S FAULT!”

I know I shouldn’t even think anyone could sink that low to score political points, but sadly, experience has taught me otherwise.

Oblivious Quote of the Day!  Liberal media outlets assailed President Trump for talking tough to Iran while deescalating military tensions, accusing him of sending “mixed messages.”  Or as the New York Times put it, he was generating “a chaotic brew of conflicting statements, crossed signals and mixed messages.”

So would they prefer if he’d blathered about peace while pressing the nuclear button?  Projecting strength while letting your adversary know that you’re open to letting them walk away peacefully if they give in to your terms is military leadership 101.

Speaking of “mixed messages,” imagine how Trump’s critics would wet themselves if he’d sent out a really aggressive mixed message like, “Speak softly and carry a big stick.”

It’s not a nice thing to call a lady, but Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez has been awarded the title of 2019’s “Porker of the Year” by Citizens Against Government Waste.

AOC earned the title by scoring 54% of the vote in an online poll, easily besting runner-up Elizabeth Warren (25%), whose consolation prize was a “Porker of the Month” award back when she proposed free college tuition and paying off student loan debt.

According to CAGW, the choice of AOC was a no-brainer (another thing it’s not nice to call her) because of her “Green New Deal” proposal, which was estimated to cost $93 trillion with only vague explanations for how to pay for it.  She said people have the mistaken idea that taxes pay for 100% of government expenditures, but “government projects are often financed by a combination of taxes, deficit spending and other kinds of investments.”  Well, that certainly clears it up.

To be fair, though, this is only a proposal, one that if God blesses America, will never come close to passing.  Let’s also shine a light on some of the people in DC who are responsible for running up near-trillion-dollar deficits during a time of record high tax revenues and record low unemployment, and yes, that would have to include some Republicans, too.

Just for fun: The always brutally hilarious Kurt Schlichter handicaps the Democratic President candidates who are still sort of standing:

On that topic, a hat tip to Instapundit for finding this great observation on Twitter: “Donald Trump has been in politics for 3 years and is running in 2020 based off his accomplishments.  Joe Biden has been in politics for over 40 years and is running in 2020 based off what he wants to accomplish.”

Sen. Elizabeth Warren, recently seen trying to convince us she’s a regular American by drinking a beer on social media, decided to up the ante on the “who can run furthest to the left” competition by declaring that as President, she wouldn’t allow any new houses or buildings to be built in America after 2028 unless they’re carbon-neutral.  I guess she looked at the horrific homelessness problem in other leftist-run enclaves like San Francisco, L.A. and Seattle and said, “Hold muh beer!”

Some photos have surfaced of former President Bill Clinton posing with two women who are at the heart of the Jeffrey Epstein pedophile/sex slave accusations.  They were taken on Epstein’s private jet, nicknamed the “Lolita Express,” when Clinton flew to Africa on it in 2002.

Having passed along that story, let me now add a big bushel of caveats. Epstein had loaned the plane for a humanitarian trip that included a number of celebrities, and there’s no claim that any of them did anything wrong or knew of Epstein’s unsavory private life.  And a celebrity appearing in a photo with someone proves nothing other than they stood side-by-side for 1/125th of a second.

I pose for photos with dozens of strangers every week, at restaurants, airports and my TV studio. I’ve never met them before or seen them since.  I’d hate for one of them to commit a crime, then have someone use a photo of us together to try to tie me to their misbehavior.

None of this is meant to assert that Bill Clinton did nothing wrong in his involvement with Jeffrey Epstein. I have no idea. It’s just a caution not to think this amounts to proof that he did. More details at the link above.

Judicial Sanity News: The Fifth Circuit Court of Appeals in New Orleans overturned a federal judge in El Paso who blocked President Trump from using $3.6 billion in military funds to build border barriers.

These days, if you dare to suggest it might be a bad idea for a young person who’s confused about his/her gender to disfigure their bodies with chemicals and surgery years before their brains have finished developing, leftists and transgender activists declare you a hateful transphobe and try to figuratively stone you in the town square.

But what if you actually were one of those kids, and you later decided your transition was a “horrendous mistake.”  So you transition back to your birth gender, and start a nonprofit to try to help other young people in the same sad situation.  You’re stunned to start hearing from hundreds of them around the world, which suggests this is a serious problem that’s hurting a lot of kids who were tragically misled by adults.  Would leftists and transgender activists then have second thoughts and reconsider their rigid dogma? Or would they brand the former trans kid a “traitor” and try to figuratively stone her in the town square, too?

I think you can guess which way they went.  But click the link for the rest of the story.  You might be surprised by how much of a “follow the money” element there is to it.

Yesterday (January 8th) would have been Elvis Presley’s 85th birthday.  Crowds of fans have gathered at Graceland for a multi-day celebration.  There was also an auction of some of his belongings.  Surprisingly, the Harley Davidson golf cart the King used to putter around his estate, which was expected to sell for up to $70,000, failed to bring the minimum bid of $20,000.  Yet last year, his Harley motorcycle sold for a near-record $800,000.  Click the link to see photos of some of the Elvis memorabilia, and see if you can figure out why more people might want to own that motorcycle than the golf cart.

the left doesn't know what mixed signals are. they are so deranged they can't function with a normal brain. But we can now call them America haters. They are not libs or democrats. They are America haters. That is all they can talk about.

CBC in Canada is already blaming Trumps actions for killing Canadians. People just like to blame Trump. I do not watch TV anymore, I get most of my news from True North, Rebel News, you, and Blaze Tv and Ben Shapero.

I am not saying General Flynn or any of us is perfect, but he is a hero to America. My husband served two tours in Vietnam and it was terrible. General was a leader that help get us out. He is not evil like Biden and some others. I don’t think he deserves prison time. I am thankful for his service and the time he spent away from his family for us,

For eight years under Hussein it was all Bush’s fault unless of course it was something good. Democrats are like immature juveniles who always play heads I win tails you lose and think it’s fair.
So playing your warped game its Hussein and Biden to blame. If those two clowns did their job and took out general salami years ago and not given the Iranian terrorists $150B, this never would have happen and we Would have 600 US military still alive today. It’s Hussein, Biden and democrats to blame!

Finished watching one the outlets that is an opinion/news program used to sell products every 4 minutes. I can only watch so much I do find satirical nonsense as this program shows bits to what the other outlets are polluting the airwave with. I can get 4 outlets that have been programed to use one word to describe the agenda of the day. My assessment of these bozos; Morons, thank Greatness I don't have to pay these buffoons; sarcasm I hope is what they are selling if not they appear to be simple acting puppets trying to ruin a civilization. The person paying these people must had a brain lobotomy to waste money on wasted Anchors for a wasteful agenda. MAGA turn off the TV opinion outlets no one knows what the truth is if they did they wouldn't tell you. Bad news sells thats what you get from these outlets bad opinions and lies and the need to ruin people and business.

After reading about all the other money-grabbing rich people in politics, whatever happened to the rest of the Hollywoodites and the college kids problem. All I ever heard was about Felicity Huffman. I know she got two weeks in jail after expressing regret for her actions, but what about all the others that still said they were not guilty. Thanks for a reply.

I love LeeMar Zarr's comment on AOC!

I am amazed (though I shouldn't be) at how far the left will go to criticize President Trump. It's horrendous that they are praising the terrorist that killed thousands of people, calling him a revered leader, etc.
Don't let the Dems know, but they MIGHT be a little more believable in their criticism of Trump if they actually praised him for taking out the guy who tortured, maimed, and killed so many.
Some of them say yeah, the guy was a terrorist, but why now?
Well, maybe if President Clinton had killed Bin Laden when he had the chance in the 1990s, 9/11 wouldn't have happened.
I think President Trump timed it perfectly.

According to my view of the monthly treasury statement the GOP spent less each year on discretionary appropriations both years they passed a budget. Democrats take over and up discretionary spending 30%.
Also, automatic spending now accounts for close to 3/4 of government outlays. Nothing will happen there until President Trump's second term when I hope he will look at it.

When my children were young I would have little tunes for them. (God gave them to me). I was teaching them about the sacrifice of Praise and this little tune came to me.
A TUNE for the CHILDREN trying to teach them about the SACRIFICE OF PRAISE ---By Bonnie R. Parvino-----------------------------------------------------------------------
When your back is against the Wall.
And you think you are going to Fall.
When there is trouble all around.
    And Peace cannot be found.
Just use the Sacrifice of Praise.
And JOY will fill your days.
AND my youngest was in the back seat of the car singing with his little hands in the air Praise the
Waword - Praise the Waword- Praise the Waword. >>> Ladies and Gentlemen we need to Praise the Lord on a Daily Routine and I recommend saying Praise the Lord instead of saying oh Fiddle Faddle or worse. I urge every Christian to Praise the Lord for this NATION and for PEACE (SHALOM)LET us urge both democrats and republicans to put their hands in the middle of the Table to come up with solutions instead of criticism----But before solutions do nothing but PRAISE THE LORD. Couple of rants:
A-O-Cortez--I am really tired of hearing of this person. Her claimed "green New Deal" has been plagarized from that same named 'deal' first proposed by FDR-she has stolen the gist of the 'deal' from that man, and advertised it as her own--at least there should be some copyright action against her.

Rep omar--this one is really serious--this person advocates overthrow of Israel- That State is quite the foundation of the moral character, center of the budding christiananity, and impetus for the foundation of the Republic we live in.
At the very least, this person should be tried for sedition, and removed from office--talk about the separation of church and State??? this person violates that principle on a daily basis--those actions are completely separate from the other travesties she condones-and forces the American populous to listen to--that being restricting religious freedom-a right guaranteed by our Constitution----and we allow this ?????????????

Referring to your comment on posing for photos with strangers, etc. I had the same thought when women were coming up with photos of themselves with Trump and accusing him of "misbehavior." So his claims of not knowing the person is certainly valid!!

Mike, your comment: "Speaking of “mixed messages,” imagine how Trump’s critics would wet themselves if he’d sent out a really aggressive mixed message like, “Speak softly and carry a big stick.” You missed the word "I" carry a big stick and "I also have big hands." I’m having to pay over $25,000 for plumbing in my elderly mothers home. Could we file for transgender treatment for her and then transfer that money to the plumber? Moms a Democrat, so would they go for that?
    Lol. But ugh.

Your mention of Elvis Presley affords me the opportunity to mention that, when I reach out to kids who have been bullied, I use Elvis as a perfect example of how "man's" (therefore, their peers' applause) is NOT the answer to happiness since Elvis wound up killing himself despite the fact that he received enough of the WORLD'S applause to be called "king" was Michael Jackson also called king and Whitney Houston called queen!

This simple illustration turns on a lightbulb in kids' minds!...It's too bad that NOTHING seems to turn on any lightbulbs...of GOD'S righteous perspective of the minds of the Democrats and the media!

I am very sad to say this but some of the people, like Nancy, are very close to sedition when discussing the Iranian situation. These people attacked a US Embassy , killed and wounded Americans. You know they would have said if it had been Obama? “What a profile in courage”. Since when are military antagonists not fair game? What message do we want to deliver? I guess Nancy, etal, wants ro deliver the message that oh yes, we Americans are really the Satan and you were right to punish us. Now, however is the time for our president to stop the childish tweets and behave like an adult who believes he is doing the right thing. He really should just ignore the naysayers and go with his gut. It has served him well so far. Do these people not understand that with both the middle Easterners and the .far East, I.e., it is face”. That’s why Trump sucks up to The Far Eastern leaders. He knows the Mullahs have to do something, but let’s face it, pretty anemic. He offered an olive branch. I am really tired of people castigating Dudley Doright all the time. That’s means us. Who is more generous and protective? Who else tries so hard? America and Israel are successful countries. They can’t stand it.

Great newsletter as usual. I really can't stand "The Squad." I'm so angry over Omar's facial expressions when the democrat had the mike, she's so disgusting. I hope they all get voted out!!! I thought the same thing as you regarding the shooting down of the airliner, that some low-life will blame it on President Trump. I'm praying for Senator McConnell to get this impeachment done & over. I think Speaker Pelosi is fresh, cocky, & a nasty person. She hasn't toned down the Squad. She needs to be replaced, I hope & pray in Nov.!

I went to high school at H.H. Arnold High in Wiesbaden, Germany where Priscilla Presley was in several of my classes. Little did any of us know then that she was already romantically linked to Elvis, having met him in 1960 at age 14 when Elvis was stationed in Germany as a U.S. Army recruit. Watch Elvis' movie made then, "G.I. Blues" for more insight, the opening scenes were filmed in the Wiesbaden Haupt Bahnhoff or train station where I ate the night I took my movie-star beautiful German girl friend Else on our first date after meeting her Nov. 22, 1963. We all know what happened on that day.
When it came to senior superlatives in my high school yearbook, Priscilla was easily voted most beautiful. I was a real nerd in high school and didn't even have a date back then until I met Else. If Priscilla had even given me a look, I would have melted on the spot. She chose Elvis over me but at least I'm still alive and in good health, never having done any mind or body-altering drugs of any kind like Elvis did. I never owned a golf cart or motorcycle and still drive a beat-up 2002 white Ford Mustang.
I don't think I would have wanted to end up with Priscilla having read biographies on her and Elvis since I am a born-again Christian since Dec. 26, 1977, the same year Elvis died in August. I will take my life over Elvis anytime because God took much better care of me than Elvis allowed Him to do in His life. Elvis was the king but I'll be happy receiving God's crown of life for my accomplishments as a lifelong journalist who has integrity and honesty and who serves a mighty God.

Gov Huckabee, yours is about the only news I read now. You have amazing help. So sad to learn of the sex changes gone bad. But of course there is no God??? Oh really! We know there is and it is so sad these innocents don't get it. We can only pray for them and that God will send someone into their lives to enlighten them as to how absolutely awesome God is. All churches need to wake up and turn the Holy Spirit loose in services. Blessings Indeed to you and yours.
