Immigration Poll

June 25, 2018

Judging by all the toupee-ablaze OUTRAGE at President Trump over his Administration’s handling of illegal immigrants, including the ever-popular comparisons to Hitler and slave owners, you’d think the vast majority of Americans want open borders and no enforcement of immigration laws.

But the Economist and YouGov.com surveyed Americans and found that the majority's views on illegal immigration are much closer to Trump's than to your typical MSNBC commentator's. Two-thirds agree that illegal entrants should be detained while fewer than 20% support the Obama policy of releasing them in the US on a promise to show up later for a hearing.  A majority think crossing the border illegally should be treated as a criminal, not civil, matter.  And while only 20% approve of detention that separates families, 44% think families should be held in detention together.  Again, only 19% support letting them go on a promise to return later.   Finally, only 8% think that illegal immigration isn’t a serious problem.

Now, let’s survey Americans to see how many think using social media to rile up unstable people to murder ICE agents and kidnap, rape and murder the children of your political opponents is a serious problem that should be treated as a criminal matter (since that still seems to be going on).  I’d be willing to bet its more than 8 percent.  Say, you think maybe the mainstream media and Hollywood are out of touch with America?

Let's take a new poll...Poll our many many homeless vets to find out how many of them have been offered or would like to be offered safe shelter, food and love on any one of our military bases.. or even in one of those so called cage ridden facilities being used for the border crashers!!!

Hopefully less and less people are depending on the msm for their news. And, my vote for things that ought to be outlawed are POLLS. Really, depends on who is asking the question, how the questions are worded (got some mighty tricky questions in them thar polls!) Because they are worded to get as many people to give the answers the sponsors of the polls want. It's sad that there are people who will vote according to some poll, instead of figuring out what is going on. Especially if the poll is misleading. That being said, releasing them to return at a later date? How naive and foolish of the US government to depend on that little thing happening. Sure, there are some who do actually return, but it would be interesting for an independent research to see what percent actually show up. If the people don't want to wait for more than the 20 days for their processing, perhaps they should all gather at the other side of the border and send only the number of people that can be processed in 20 days. Thousands of people? 20 day limit? GMAB!!!! There are so many judges available for this. And, we certainly don't want just anyone who is going to rubber stamp everyone through, the purpose would be to actually review the cases.

IT SEEMS THAT THE LEFT CAN DO ( AND HAVE ) ANYTHING AND NEVER FACE THE CONSEQUENCES, ALSO REWARDED BAD BEHAVIOR. WHAT A SHAME. ANY FATHER OR MOTHER WOULD SUPPORT THEIR CHILD. FEARING FOR THEIR SAFETY IS SOMETHING THEY SHOULD NOT HAVE TO DO. I DON'T RECALL THE RIGHT THREATENING. I DON'T RECALL THE RIGHT DOING SUCH IGNORANT, THREATENING, CHILDISH THINGS WHEN BO AND WC WON. THE DEMOCRATS ARE KNOWN FOR INCITING RIOTS. THE COUNTRY IS HEADED TOWARDS SOCIALISM ( WAIT TILL IT HAPPENS AND THOSE THAT WANT IT SEE WHAT WILL HAPPEN TO THEM) OR COMMUNISM THAT ARE BOTH EVIDENT.

Hello Govenor. I just wanted to give you giant props for having a strong , confident, classy daughter, Sarah. She has been , easily, the very best WH Press boss the President has had. Her very smooth, classy handling of the Red Hen farce has been ,typically , exemplary!! Anyone can tell she was raised very very well. Please, please encourage her to hang in there and be that tough, durable wall for Mr. Trump. Trump LANDSLIDE 2020!!

Our family supports our President and agrees with his views on immigration. These laws have needed a revision for many years and it's unfortunate that our Congressional members seem to be more interested in serving illegals than they do the citizens of our country. We are a country of laws and it's time to uphold them.

I am so proud of you and Sarah. No gift can be carried without the fruit of the Spirit. The gift you have is held in the character of the love of God.

    Governor Huckabee,
I found my way to your webpage, curious about your response to the Red Hen incident with your daughter. I understand your protectiveness as a father, but I fear you missed the mark. You are certainly smart enough to write convincingly and share your opinions, but seem to be rather clever about leaving out "the rest of the story." The lack of civility you deride was elevated to a national level by our current president. He was the one who lowered the bar of courteous discourse, with his name calling, his sly encouragement of violence, and his demonization of others. Your daughter, unfortunately, has the job of defending his poor behavior and lies. And you, too, seem to have hopped on that train, what with your own name calling and derision of others. As to your above comments about polling regarding immigration, we all know how easy it is to find statistics to support one's opinion. It's all the other statistics and the context that are missing. I think most Americans understand the need for procedures regarding our borders and humane procedures for dealing with migrants, but that does not justify the current zero tolerance treatment.

And aren't you, yourself, using social media to rile up people? What with your recent tweet about Ms. Pelosi and MS-13? How is that okay? How do you square that kind of behavior with your Christian morals? I fear that we have lost our empathy as a people and that those, like you Governor Huckabee, who have a public platform, need to be setting a better example and encouraging Americans to a higher moral ground. I am sorely disappointed. And if my God is the same as your God, I can't help but think he's disappointed, too.

When you ran for president in 2008, I thought you were smart and funny, and though I didn't agree with your politics, you were the kind of man I would enjoy having a conversation with. Now I'm just sad about you. Sad that people come to your page for your insight and leave hornswoggled.

I leave you with your own words after you stepped down from the CMA Foundation in March: “I hope that the music and entertainment industry will become more tolerant and inclusive and recognize that a true love for kids having access to the arts is more important than a dislike for someone or a group of people because of who they are or what they believe.”

I hope that the Republican and Christian peoples will become more tolerant and inclusive and recognize that a true love for people having access to hope is more important than a dislike for someone or a group of people because of who they are or what they believe.

    There. Fixed it for you.

    God bless.
