Endless effort and spin has gone into trying to explain why Hillary Clinton lost (without ever considering that her own history, personality and views had anything to do with it). As I tried to explain long before the election in my book, “God, Guns, Grits and Gravy,” the elites of politics, academia and the media had sealed themselves into such an airtight echo chamber, they had no idea what the mysterious natives of that vast “flyover country” that they looked down on, literally and figuratively, were thinking.

What they were thinking was that they were fed up to the gills with a doumikble standard that gave the politically-connected a pass for things that would land them under the jail. There were sick of being ignored and insulted for voicing legitimate complaints about how their lives were being adversely affected by leftist policies, disregard for the Constitution and selective enforcement of laws.

Remembering history

By Mike Huckabee

I’ve been astounded recently by the way the left has been so successful at using “hate speech” and school shootings to convince young people to demand that their own First and Second Amendment rights be taken away. Somehow, they have managed to bamboozle a large slice of the young generation into simultaneously believing that they are wise and mature enough to start voting and even writing laws at 16; yet they are so childish and irresponsible, they can’t be trusted to handle a firearm until they’re 21 or to hear an opposing opinion without rushing to a safe space to cuddle a puppy.

When young people don’t know their rights, where those rights came from, and how much was sacrificed to secure them, it’s easy to convince them to trade them away for empty promises of comfort and security. These days, students barely learn the most basic facts about American history, let alone all the great stories you discover when you dig into the details. This seems like the perfect week for a lesson in how America came to be born. And I’ll try to put it into terms they can relate to.

Folks, the Democrats aren’t so dumb as to want to abolish ICE and supporting no border nonsense. They just support abolishing “nice” and there was a typo in the talking points they all get and spew. Only an idiot would advocate a lawless country without borders. Be nICE!

Is my grandson a Democrat?!?

By Mike Huckabee

I'm worried. My 1 yr old grandson is at my house. He does nothing for himself, pays for nothing, cries when he doesn't get his way, throws tantrums, and wears diapers that I have to change. I'm afraid this kid is a Democrat! Hope he outgrows it.

Turning the tables

By Mike Huckabee

Turning the tables using the left’s own furniture: A Michigan economics professor is demanding a Title IX investigation of a Northeastern University feminist sociology professor who wrote an op-ed called “Why Can’t We Hate Men?” It makes the predictable argument that all the problems of the world are the fault of men, who should be disenfranchised and shunned and hated.  The complaint points out that the university’s own “Policy on Equal Opportunity” prohibits “discrimination or harassment on the basis of race, color, religion, religious creed, genetic information, sex, gender identity, sexual orientation, age, national origin, ancestry, veteran or disability status.”  So why should “a confirmed sexist and bigot” and a “self-declared hate monger” be allowed to promote discrimination against men, when a male student could no more expect fair treatment from her than a black student could from a professor who’s in the KKK?

Excellent question, and one that I bet the ultra-“woke” “progressives” at NU never imagined they’d have to answer when they were writing the anti-discrimination standards that they thought would apply only to other people’s prejudices.  I’ll bet the left isn’t going to like “equality” so much once they realize it means everyone has to live up to the same standards of civil conduct and basic human decency.

Daily Verse

"Jesus said unto her, I am the resurrection, and the life: he that believeth in me, though he were dead, yet shall he live: And whosoever liveth and believeth in me shall never die. Believest thou this?"
