BREAKING: GREAT RESULTS WITH FOLLOW-UP HYDROXYCHLOROQUINE STUDY
There’s big breaking news on the hydroxychloroquine front, which I’m sure will please my reader “Reacherfan.” Here’s what he had to say about vaccines, and then I’ll report the results of a promising new study.
You are right on about Fauci. I worked with vaccine researchers in a multinational pharmaceutical and biological company, and researchers have profound tunnel vision. Fauci needs to remember that vaccines, especially killed vaccines, only provide immunity in the 70-80 percent range. Live-attenuated usually goes into the 90's, but neither is 100 percent. You end up relying on herd immunity, which needs around 90-94% to actually work. You can have vaccines, but you better have a treatment, too. because not everyone will tolerate the vaccine, not everyone's immune system will build sufficient antibodies, the life of the antibodies will be unknown, and groups of people will refuse the vaccine for medical or religious reasons. Fauci is fixated, and that is a VERY bad attitude.
From the Gov:
SUNDAY IS COMING
Two days from now, we’ll celebrate Easter—to commemorate the Resurrection of Christ. One of the best Easter sermons I ever heard was titled, “It’s Friday, But Don’t Worry, Because Sunday is Coming!” It was a reminder that on the day Jesus was crucified, everything was dark, evil, and appeared hopeless. Those closest to Jesus were in fear for their own lives, and felt that all they had devoted themselves to for 3 years died on that cross. They saw their Master and their hopes and faith buried in a borrowed tomb. That was Friday. But then came Sunday. It was the day that 3 women went to the tomb to honor a man who was dead. Instead they were the first to know that what they had witnessed on Friday WASN’T the last chapter. We all have a lot of Fridays in our lives. Bad doctor reports; financial problems just to pay rent or buy groceries; a sick child; broken relationships. Yes, it’s Friday, but don’t worry because Sunday is coming. The coronavirus and what it’s done to us individually and as a nation is truly a Friday. Even if you’re never afflicted with the VIRUS, you HAVE been affected by complete shutdown of our economy, culture, and even our recreational activities. It’s definitely Friday. But don’t worry, because Sunday is coming. As we celebrate Easter, remember that the same crowd who screamed “crucify him!” was shouting his praise and screaming “Hosannah!” the week before. Let’s not get lost in our Fridays, because Sunday is coming. God is good. All the time. All the time, God is good. From all of us here at the Huckabee Newsletter, thanks for joining us, stay safe, and remember that Sunday IS coming!
“Deep Thoughts…by Ezekiel Emanuel” “Progressive” advocate Ezekiel Emanuel, one of the architects of Obamacare and special adviser to the director-general of the WHO, and who recently called for keeping our economy shut down for 18 months, wrote an article in 2014 about how he wants to die at 75. He said that death is a loss, but “living too long is also a loss,” and due to cognitive and physical decline, “for many reasons, 75 is a pretty good age to aim to stop.”
I’ll say to him what I say to all leftists who suggest that other people give up something they love, including their lives, to further the left’s agenda: “You go first.”
That article also notes that Emanuel has now joined the presidential campaign of 77-year-old Joe Biden. He must feel like Roger Daltrey (76) and Pete Townshend (74) of the Who, still touring and singing “Hope I die before I get old.” I’ll bet Pete wishes he’d written a different lyric for that.
REMEMBERING LINDA TRIPP
Prayers and condolences for the family of Linda Tripp, who has died at 70, less than a week after being diagnosed with cancer.
Tripp was vilified by the media for her part in exposing the truth about then-President Bill Clinton’s attempts to prevent his private behavior with Monica Lewinsky from coming out in order to deny Paula Jones her day in court. She was a martyr to the double standard liberals had for sexual harassment. Had Clinton been a Republican, she might have been celebrated as an early heroine of the “Me Too” movement.
These days, we are supposed to believe that the double standard is over and that no powerful man is safe when accused of sexual impropriety. At least, that’s the story we hear from the same media outlets that have yet to even mention the name “Tara Reade.”

THE FULL SOCIALISM EXPERIENCE
A number of far-left showbiz celebrities such as Mark Ruffalo, John Cusack and Alyssa Milano are wailing on social media about how angry, devastated and powerless they feel because Bernie Sanders dropped out of the Presidential race. Sarah Silverman even compared him to Mr. Rogers, which is appropriate only in that both had their greatest appeal to people with pre-school mentalities.
So here’s a modest proposal. If all these celebrities really want to experience the wonders of socialism, they don’t need Bernie. First, since the median US salary is around $47,000 a year, take everything you make over 47 grand and send it to Washington. That takes care of “income inequality.” Then, go down to the supermarket and look at the empty toilet paper shelves. On the way home, try to get arrested for daring to leave your house without government permission.
There you go: the full socialism experience!
With people staying at home and leaving the streets deserted, wild animals are getting bold enough to start venturing into cities again. Check out the various critters wandering empty city streets and sidewalks, including mountain goats, wild pigs and deer. In Myrtle Beach, South Carolina, an alligator was caught on video wandering around a shopping center, possibly looking for his relatives in the window of a luggage store.
Note to all the liberals who demonize hunters: this is what happens when the natural order is upset. You should thank us hunters. Without us, wild animals might take over, as in “Planet of the Apes.” I’m personally helping to save the Earth from becoming the “Planet of the Ducks.”
Bible Verse of the Day (KJV)
"He himself bore our sins” in his body on the cross, so that we might die to sins and live for righteousness; “by his wounds you have been healed."
