We’ve been asking this question literally for years: If the DOJ and FBI had reason to suspect that foreign agents were trying to infiltrate the Trump campaign --- seriously enough to justify getting a warrant to spy on U.S. citizens who were Trump associates --- why on earth didn’t they brief Trump and/or top campaign officials about it?

It seems like the sensible thing for them to have done. But thanks to a new report from investigative reporter Sara A. Carter revealing closed-door testimony given by Loretta Lynch, we now find that our intelligence higher-ups handled this situation in a way that defies logic.

With gratitude,

Laura Ainsworth: "The Brains Behind AOC" working to take over Congress?

By Laura Ainsworth

On Monday, Gov. Huckabee offered a link to a YouTube video hosted by a conservative who calls himself “Mr. Reagan” and titled “The Brains Behind Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez.” The Governor neither endorsed it nor condemned it, just cited it as something interesting. I had long assumed there had to be some sort of brains behind AOC, as she didn’t seem to have any inside her head. After watching his video a few times, I have to say that his theory is entirely plausible and worth exploring.

Just how does a 29-year-old bartender become the Democratic nominee for Congress from such a densely populated district as hers (the 14th) in New York? We know it had to be because of an organized and very aggressive strategy by “progressive” (as in, radical socialist) Democrats. “Mr. Reagan” asserts that AOC was recruited to run by a group called the Justice Democrats, which he says has a plan to find the “faces” of the new Progressive movement and run them for office around the country, with the ultimate goal of taking over Congress. He believes that AOC is, essentially, an actress, reciting their talking points.

Beto is a yes

By Mike Huckabee

Be still our beating hearts! “Beto” O’Rourke is officially running for President! It appears that three House terms, one losing Senate race and some rad skateboard skills are now experience enough to handle the most difficult and important executive job in the world. In a fawning cover profile in Vanity Fair, he hinted at the decision, saying of politics, “I’m just born to do this.” That has a tinge of royal privilege/divine right that’s off-putting to many Americans and that made Hillary so unappealing. But at least it’s a better campaign slogan than “Qualifications? What’s that?!”

While I know he has many fans among those who rate “charisma” as the most important trait in a chief executive, I wonder if the vast amounts of money that poured into his Senate race will be as likely to materialize in his Presidential coffers. The $80 million he blew losing to Ted Cruz was showered on him partly because he looks cool on social media, but largely because the donors hate-hate-hated Ted Cruz and “Beto” was the best shot they had at defeating him. But he now has to compete with national-level, far more experienced Democrats who could debate Trump without looking like the quarterback didn’t show up so they sent in the waterboy.

Some analysts believe that “Beto” doesn’t seriously believe he’ll get the nomination but is positioning himself to be the Beta male Vice President to Joe Biden. If he really thinks the current Democratic Party mood points to “Let’s run two white males,” I question whether he’s really born to be in politics.

Facebook’s pesky “algorithm”

By Mike Huckabee

Conservatives have been complaining for a long time about the social media giants censoring their posts and banning them for vague, subjective reasons.  But it’s not just bloggers and pundits: after the latest Facebook “algorithm” change (to an algorithm that must’ve been created by Al Gore himself), President Trump’s official Facebook page saw a 45% decline in engagements, even though there has been no drop-off in the number of posts (even some of his supporters might wish there were fewer posts, but there aren’t: Facebook just isn’t showing them to people.)

Democrats who secretly delight in this unfair advantage of partisan social media censorship should remember that if they can do it to us, they can do it to them.  Sen. Elizabeth Warren just learned that for herself.  She’s been campaigning on the need to break up the social media giants as monopolies.  Guess what?  It appears that Facebook’s pesky “algorithm” has been taking down her ads about breaking up Facebook, too.

It would be an interesting development indeed (and very scary to the Silicon Valley limousine leftists) if liberals rediscovered their long-dormant respect for freedom of speech after having their own speech rights infringed, and this became an issue with bipartisan support.

Convention politics

By Mike Huckabee

Next year’s Republican Convention will be held in Charlotte, North Carolina, and the Democrats just announced that they have chosen Milwaukee, Wisconsin.  DNC Chair Tom Perez said, “The Democratic Party is the party of working people, and Milwaukee is a city of working people. We saw in this last election what we can accomplish when we come together, invest, and fight for working people, and that was proven right here in Wisconsin.”

It should be note that in the last Presidential election, Wisconsin went for Trump by a hair, shocking all the prognosticators who thought it was a lock for the Democrats.  Hillary Clinton, the candidates of the “party of working people,” the one that “fights” so hard for working people, didn’t even bother to visit Wisconsin after winning the primary.  She infamously dismissed the concerns of struggling blue collar workers by calling them a basket of racist, sexist, homophobic, Islamophobic, xenophobic deplorables.  If the working people of Wisconsin are back to work in the now-booming economy, they can thank their decision to vote for Trump instead of her.

I hope the good people of Wisconsin take the Democrats’ tourist dollars but don’t swallow their promises to return to the good old days of four years ago, when the working people they fight so hard for were working three part-time jobs to make ends meet.

The link also includes what may be the real reason the Democrats chose Milwaukee: a clip of rocker Alice Cooper from the movie “Wayne’s World” noting that Milwaukee is the only major American city to have elected three socialist mayors.

Incidentally, in private life, Alice Cooper is a Christian churchgoer, a savvy business person and reportedly a Republican.  If it becomes a brokered convention, the Democrats could do a lot worse than nominating Alice Cooper.  And since he’s a man named Alice, they just might feel obligated to do it.

Warning to all “Social Justice Warriors” (even those masquerading as tax-exempt, nonpartisan groups):

By Mike Huckabee

Warning to all “Social Justice Warriors” (even those masquerading as tax-exempt, nonpartisan groups): if you harshly judge everyone else for things they said in the past by your constantly-changing current standards of political correctness, then it’s best to remember that you were alive in the past, too.  And thanks to the Internet, the “permanent record” is now reality.

Babylon Bee strikes again

They're showing that political humor can still be funny, if you're not a purse-lipped leftist scold pretending to be a comedian.

Rep. Collins says THERE WILL BE ACCOUNTABILITY for protecting Hillary

By Mike Huckabee

Republican Rep. Doug Collins of Georgia was just getting started last Friday when he released Bruce’s Ohr’s unredacted closed-door testimony before Congressional committees. On Tuesday, he released Lisa Page’s testimony, close to 400 pages’ worth. And he promises much more to come.

I had some questions regarding his release of the Ohr testimony, as it seemed so easy all of a sudden to release information that had been hidden for many months. Members of these committees have known since late last summer just how the FBI protected Hillary Clinton and persecuted Donald Trump. Why wasn’t the Ohr testimony released sooner? But maybe I’ve been looking a gift horse in the mouth and should just be glad that it was finally done.  Afterwards, there was not so much as a whimper from congressional Democrats over it (they've got other problems right now), so Collins is moving forward and releasing more records. This is happening at last, and should proceed at a steady pace.

Daily Verse (KJV)

"All scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness: That the man of God may be perfect, thoroughly furnished unto all good works."

Please pass to President Trump: Congress must stop endless investigations where no one, especially politicians, ever go to jai! These are just a waste of resources and taxpayers money. No more cover-ups. Politicians guilty of crimes will no longer retain their post, be reelected, or elected to office in the first place! No cronies! Bring back decorum; Congress must work the People’s issues for the benefit of the entire country, not selective special interests or their party. It must do its job in making laws, not let the courts or worse yet, unelected bureaucrats make them under the ruse of “rule & regulations”. Finally, there must be term limits—cannot continue to have professional politicians who get rich instead of serving the People! Even the president position has term limits. Release the full special counsel report NOW! Justice System: Reaffirm the Constitution (and its People) as the supreme law of the land! It must be studied by all citizens throughout the school system; it must be applied as written, not open to interpretation according to the ruling party or politicized Supreme Court. We must bring back the People’s faith into the “law is the same for everyone”. DOJ and Courts systems must be reformed to ensure impartiality and rule of law when sentencing and not “making laws”!
    - Stop ‘reverse’ discrimination: In order to appease minorities of every kind, the majority of Americans are being “classified” as second class citizens, especially White hetero/Christian males. All people are deserving of respect and protection under the Constitution!
