Let’s start this pre-Thanksgiving weekend on a positive note with a salute to a Huck’s Hero, Special Dad Division. Fred Vautour of Massachusetts has five kids, and by the time they were college age, he knew he’d be looking at a tuition bill of $700,000 to send them all to Boston College. But he found a loophole: children of school employees receive free tuition.

All five of his kids now have bachelor’s degrees from Boston College – and all he had to do to make it possible for them was to work an overnight shift as a janitor at the school for 23 years. Click the link to read more, and to hear what his kids learned from their dad’s love, devotion, self-sacrifice and work ethic. I’d bet it’s even more valuable than anything they learned in college.
