About those tweeted anti-Muslim videos

November 30, 2017

Today’s Outrage Du Jour: President Trump retweeted a video of some alleged footage of Muslims committing violence. He’s being blasted by UK politicians because the video came from the rightwing group Britain First, and there are claims that some of the footage isn’t real. The first is the classic “shooting the messenger” response; if it’s real news footage, then it shouldn’t matter where it came from. The second might have some validity: if there is any fake footage, then Trump should delete it and be more careful in the future about what he retweets (Twitter is full of “fake news,” after all, and it's extremely easy to pass it on with the touch of one button.)

But watching all these combative, “ready to rumble” responses to Trump from European politicians, I can’t help thinking their citizens would be a heck of a lot safer today if they had been half as vigilant about guarding their borders as they are about policing Trump’s Twitter account.

It’s amazing how foreign leaders suddenly feel free to reprimand our President like he’s a child. I guess they think if the media and senators and congressman show no respect for the office of the President, they don’t have to either. Sad.

Exactly! They are apparently allowing their country to be overrun by the radical muslims. With their growing enclaves of "no-go zones!"
