UPDATE: RACE CALLED
CNN, NBC and others have called the race for Biden, projecting he will be President. But reminder: they don't have any official standing to do that, so the counting and any challenges to the vote continue as long as President Trump says so. He's called a press conference for early this afternoon, but no word yet on what he plans to say.
THIS IS WHAT LEFTISTS DO WHEN THEY TASTE POWER
(Note this was written before the call of the race for Vice President Biden by the media)
We don’t even have a certified winner yet –- what we do have is a large number of “irregularities” on the Democrat side that it's hoped will be resolved in the President’s favor –- but Democrats are already feeling the power they intend to abuse. Have you ever heard of the Trump Accountability Project (TAP)? This will chill you to your bones.
The organization behind this is the gay activist group GLAAD, which seems to think President Trump’s administration is decidedly anti-gay. We weren’t sure why, as he seems pretty gay-neutral, so we went to their site and looked up his “accountability profile,” which lists atrocities such as Tiffany Trump’s forgetting to say the “T” when saying “LGBTQ.” I am not kidding.
Full disclosure: I see that my daughter’s name is on their list, as she worked for the White House and they obviously don’t approve of her.
For quite some time, Trump’s adversaries have also been musing about having a “truth and reconciliation commission." Inspired by what was set up in South Africa after apartheid ended, it would be done under the guise of “healing” our country, but in reality it would be bringing people who worked for or somehow enabled President Trump before a tribunal to confess and apologize for their wrongdoing, hoping for just a slap on the wrist.
They are serious about this. It’ll be a cold day on the planet Mercury before I’ll participate in any such thing.
On October 20, THE NATION ran a piece supporting this idea that said, “We still have to have a society with these Trump people, and that can’t happen until we understand what they’ve done and feel measures have been taken to protect us from them again.”
If you think that line is disturbing, it's nothing compared to the deranged rant that comes after. The left wants to be judge, jury and executioner. In fact, we've already been tried and convicted in their eyes; the "commission" would just make that official.
It’s not enough that Trump and his supporters be defeated. We must be punished --- deeply shamed and “canceled” forever. "The Unforgiven." Anyone who worked for Trump or helped him get elected must never work again. Anyone who HIRES anyone who worked for Trump should lose HIS job.
This is a blacklist. It’s McCarthyism to the tenth power. The left has become the very thing it used to hate.
They will do this with a vengeance that lasts far into the future because they always need Trump to despise. If he’s not in office any longer, where are they going to put that fury? They have to keep it going by hating anyone who had anything to do with him.
On Friday, Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez tweeted this: “Is anyone archiving these Trump sycophants for when they try to downplay or deny their complicity in the future? I foresee decent probability of many deleted Tweets, writings, photos in the future...Lol at the ‘party of personal responsibility’ being upset at the idea of being responsible for their behavior over last four years.”
I'm sure AOC is makin’ a list and checkin’ it twice. We’d better ditch the evidence! Especially if we have photos of ourselves with President Trump, we wouldn’t want people to see them, now, would we? How shameful, how embarrassing, how downright incriminating that would be. Better drop them down the memory hole.
In October, former Labor Secretary Robert Reich, apparently tasting victory, promoted this idea in a particularly egregious way. In a tweet, Reich said the goal should be “name every official, politician, executive, and media mogul whose greed and cowardice enabled this catastrophe.” This tweet is what sparked that insane piece in THE NATION, but the WASHINGTON POST was moved to run a critical (and very good) op-ed.
When Reich says "enabled," he isn't just talking about breaking the law. There are all sorts of ways to “enable” Trump. I’m “enabling” him right now, just by saying this. Uh-oh.
"It appears that hatred of Trump runs so deep among some on the left that it isn’t enough to vote him out of office,” the piece by Henry Olsen said. “People who supported or worked for him must also be condemned and shunned from polite society.”
Wear your Trump support proudly, folks. There are about 70 million of us who are wise to what's being done to try to oust him. I’m still hopeful the left won’t take control, because they’ve already shown us they can’t be entrusted with power.
SCOTUS: ALITO ISSUES BALLOT ORDER IN PENNSYLVANIA
(Note this was written before the call of the race for Vice President Biden by the media)
There were so many (ahem) “irregularities” in the Trump-Biden ballot count that Democrats and the media (but I repeat myself) are just going to have to wait until they’re resolved.
In breaking news Friday, U.S. Supreme Court Justice Sam Alito, in response to an emergency request by the Pennsylvania Republican Party, ORDERED election officials in that state to segregate and count separately all ballots coming in after Election Day; specifically, those arriving between 8PM on November 3 and 5PM on November 6.
(Maybe this is why Joe Biden and Kamala Harris postponed their little “victory” speech planned for Friday night.)
Anyway, ballots can still be counted, but separately. (Andrew McCarthy called this “locking the barn door after the horse is out,” and he does has a point.) Justice Alito called for the opposing side to respond by 2PM Saturday. The Supreme Court has not yet decided if they’ll review the case, but this ruling should help preserve the evidence for now.
Also, the Republican National Committee has set up legal teams in Arizona, Georgia, Michigan and Pennsylvania, amid “clear irregularities” that the Democrats want them to ignore.
RNC chairwoman Ronna McDaniel said, “We intend to ensure that every lawful voter has their vote counted in accordance with the law, that observers are granted the access they are due under state law, and that any irregularities that have occurred --- whether by malicious intent or incompetence --- are fully investigated to the fullest extent of the law. We will not give up on this process until every last issue has been resolved.”
She criticized the media for so quickly calling the election, saying it’s “crazy” (editorial aside: like a fox) that they’d call Arizona when the margin was only 47,000 votes, well within striking distance. As for Pennsylvania, Michigan and Georgia, the margin was also quite narrow.
She correctly said if it had been Trump in the lead in those states, “the media would be screaming” that the race is not over and they want more time for counting.
The Trump campaign seems to be on this, with lawsuits filed in Arizona, Nevada, Georgia, Pennsylvania, and Michigan. Here is President Trump’s statement:
"We believe the American people deserve to have full transparency into all vote counting and election certification, and that this is no longer about any single election. THIS IS ABOUT THE INTEGRITY OF OUR ENTIRE ELECTION PROCESS. [Emphasis mine.] From the beginning we have said that all legal ballots must be counted and all illegal ballots should not be counted, yet we have met resistance to this basic principle by Democrats at every turn. We will pursue this process through every aspect of the law to guarantee that the American people have confidence in our government. I will never give up fighting for you and our nation.”
But take a look at how Democrats are behaving now; they already presume the power is theirs, ready to be abused. Andrew Bates, spokesman for the Biden campaign, said on Friday that “...the United States government is perfectly capable of escorting trespassers out of the White House.”
First of all, win or lose, Donald J. Trump is the rightful occupant of the White House until January 20 of NEXT YEAR. A little ahead of ourselves, aren’t we?
He also said "the American people” decide the election, but which American people does he mean? Does he mean dead people, nonexistent people, people who have moved away, people in comas, illegal aliens, space aliens, convicted felons, people voting multiple times, pets with human-sounding names, and people who filled out piles of fake ballots (and the people who instructed them to do it)? He sure doesn’t mean the many thousands of Pennsylvanians who froze their butts off cheering for Trump in recent days. Bates doesn’t care about them; he and his party gladly would –- and likely did –- disenfranchise them to hurt Trump.
Ohio Rep. Jim Jordan co-chairs a House committee that issued a very prescient report on September 23 called “How Democrats are Attempting to Sow Uncertainty, Inaccuracy, and Delay in the 2020 Election.” Boy, did they call it right:
"Democrats are seeking to change state election laws and procedures at the last minute to advantage themselves in the 2020 election cycle. These late changes will only increase the likelihood for potential election-related crime and errors, and put at risk the integrity of the nation’s electoral process.”
These changes, combined with massive mail-in balloting, ensured chaos. Jordan says it’s even worse than they thought it would be. We did some digging, and guess what? Hillary attorney Marc Elias of the law firm Perkins Coie (remember them?) and former Obama attorney general Eric Holder were part of the effort to change those laws. This story is a MUST-READ.
Pennsylvania law states, “Partisan observers may observe at polling locations and may stay until the time that the counting of votes is complete.” But Republican observers in Philadelphia were kicked out –- with cardboard put in the windows in at least one location –- and in others forced to stay 100 feet away (!), making it impossible for them to see how ballots were being handled and counted. What reason could there be for this that isn’t underhanded?
There’s much more. In Michigan, a software glitch SWITCHED about 6,000 votes from GOP to Democrat, just in one heavily-Republican county. When this was discovered, the votes were hand-counted and switched back, but 47 other counties in Michigan –- that’s more than half –-use this same election software. It’s also used in as many as 30 other states. Trump’s people have to ensure ALL this is double-checked.
McDaniel said on Friday’s Hannity TV show that she was in Detroit, “taking statements from hundreds of individuals” documenting the irregularities they witnessed, including their “inability to observe in a meaningful way.” They’ve already sent some complaints to the U.S. attorney for the Eastern District Court of Michigan. She said an ELECTION OFFICIAL came forward as a whistle-blower, claiming under oath to have been told to back-date ballots.
In Arizona, hundreds of residents rallied peacefully outside the Maricopa County Elections Department to show their concern for the integrity of the voting process.
There was a problem on Election Day with voters being given Sharpie pens, which cause ballots to be rejected. And, again, Arizona was called ridiculously early for Biden, before the ballots in Maricopa County were fully counted. Maricopa –- the largest county in Arizona, encompassing 65 percent of that state’s vote –- has nearly 4.5 million people and is overwhelmingly Republican.
One person at the rally said this: “I have zero faith in anything right now. I do not trust the government. I don’t trust the Republicans, I don’t trust the integrity of the voting system, and I definitely don’t trust the justice system.”
If this isn’t resolved, America is going to end up with about 70 million people who agree, very strongly. Our republic can’t survive that way.

FAKE NEWS FROM ALL SIDES
Be wary of stories claiming to quote top Republicans allegedly rebuking President Trump for demanding investigations of the vote. For instance, Mitch McConnell did not say every vote should be counted. He said every “legal vote” should be counted. That’s not rebuking what Trump said, it actually is what Trump said.
And from the other side, a video was going around of a former intelligence official claiming Trump had set a trap for vote fraud by making sure all ballots were printed with ID markings. Not true; states are responsible for printing their own ballots.
