Once again, the left is trying to tell us what to do—let’s not let them!

The latest example of leftist bullying is the relentless campaign to force President-elect Donald Trump to separate himself from Stephen K. Bannon, his incoming White House counselor.

The left has sought to dictate to us—that is, people of faith, conservatives, and, broadly, the American people—for, frankly, the entirety of our lives. For decades, liberal legislators, liberal judges, and liberal “journalists” have tried to tell us what to do, what to think, and yes, who to hire. During that time, the left has scored its share of victories—in politics, in the culture, and the law. The most tragic of these leftist victories, of course, was the disastrous 1973 decision, Roe vs. Wade.

However, we’ve been fighting back! In 1980 we elected Ronald Reagan. In 1994, we elected Newt Gingrich’s majority to Congress. And now, in 2016, we’ve elected Donald Trump and yet another Republican Majority on Capitol Hill.

So now, having seen their radical agenda thwarted by the voters this November, the leftists are taking a new approach: They are attempting to target a member of Donald Trump’s staff. But their real target isn’t Steve Bannon. Instead, their real target is the center-right agenda—including conservative judges—that the Trump campaign, with Steve Bannon’s help, has embodied.

Perhaps I should tell you about the Steve Bannon I know. He is a conservative in his core—the kind of deep beliefs imprinted into him by his working-class background in a flag-waving blue-collar family in Norfolk, VA, as well as by his years of service in the US Navy, including in the hot zone of the Persian Gulf. And if you wish to know more about Steve’s values, please take a look at this transcript of a speech he delivered in the Vatican in 2014—he uses the phrase “Judeo-Christian values” no fewer than ten times. It’s worth noting that Steve’s speech was delivered two years ago, long before anyone, except perhaps Donald Trump, had any idea that we would be where we are today.

In his work as executive chairman of Breitbart News, he has been on the edge of the populist-nationalist surge that helped provide the agenda for the Trump Revolution.

And then, of course, he joined the Trump campaign in August, and the rest is history.

Is Steve Bannon controversial? Sure. Has he made enemies? Sure—but only among those who don't know him well!

But of course, Steve Bannon’s merits as a person, as well as a political strategist, don’t matter to the left. The left wants to take him down, just as it wants to take Donald Trump down, just as it wants to take America as we know it down. The left hasn’t given up on its dream of imposing its values on all of us. Forever.

I say: No More. We shouldn’t let the left win.

Send a loud signal of opposition against leftist dominion. I hope that you will join me as we all stand prayerfully in a wall of support for Steve, and for the incoming Trump administration.

President-Elect Donald J. Trump has a mandate from the American voters! They chose him to be the next President. My prayers are with our new President-Elect as he moves forward to Make America Great Again exactly as he promised the American people he would do. If he does that, I’m confident that he will be a great President of the United States of America !

Gov. Huckabee, My husband and I admire you and respect your opinion probably more than most politicians. We are thrilled to have Donald Trump as our new president. However Steve Bannon has a reputation among many, not just 'the left', as a racist because of his careless comments and his alignment with white nationalist groups. Can't he distance himself from these groups and this reputation if indeed he is a 'good choice' for a chief strategist? I want to be able to trust Trump's choices and back up his decisions but not sure why he'd appoint such a controversial figure for this important position. I hope to hear back from you ... thank you!

    Thank you Mike!
At some of Trump's earlier rallies he would say "help is on the way", which was cause for joyful laughter for my wife and me. We had an amazing experience watching countless hours of Trump rallies, interviews, press conferences, etc. Now, here we are, Trump/Pence and all of his big gun supporters, such as you, forging ahead with conservatism that I thought we would never see again.
So many people know that the media lies, but they watch them anyway. Beautiful thing is, Trump largely bypassed them with brilliant strtegies!
