TO FBI DIRECTOR WRAY ABOUT HIS JOB: USE IT (FOR REFORM) OR LOSE IT!
When Lt. Gen. Michael Flynn’s attorney Sidney Powell finally succeeded in obtaining the “Brady” (exculpatory) material she’d been requesting from the FBI for many months, the question arose: Where was FBI Director Christopher Wray while these documents were being withheld from Flynn’s defense?
Wray had to know this was going on. If we “outsiders” knew, he knew. It’s become obvious that if Trump wanted a real reformer to take the helm at the FBI, he didn’t have one in Wray. How disappointed the President must be. But, as I reported last week, Wray has a history at the FBI that raises both eyebrows –- this isn’t the first time he’s “supervised” FBI personnel, the same group of low-lifes abusing their power. He didn’t do anything about it then, either.
As Trey Gowdy said on Monday to Sean Hannity, “The FBI is not in charge of hiring and firing directors of national intelligence [Flynn’s former job]. The FBI is not in charge –- it’s not their job to see what they can get away with [a reference to James Comey]...You’re supposed to investigate crime, not create crime.”
It was only after Attorney General Bill Barr appointed U.S. Attorney Jeff Jensen to review Flynn’s case that those exculpatory documents were finally released to Flynn’s defense. Wray apparently had nothing to do with getting this done, and he’s been there two years. It should have happened when Powell first requested the material, period.
PROUD SUPPORTER OF SAMARITAN'S PURSE
I am a proud supporter of Samaritan’s Purse, an organization that’s always first on the scene to offer help wherever it’s needed from Africa to New York City. Unfortunately, because it is a Christian organization, some people let their religious bigotry overwhelm any sense of gratitude that they should be showing. I wonder how many people treated by the COVID-19 hospital set up in New York agree with the nasty and ungrateful comments by the city council speaker?
I think the council speaker should look into the origins of the name of Samaritan’s Purse, which is inspired by the parable of the Good Samaritan, as told by Jesus in the Gospel of Luke. A Jew who is beaten and robbed is ignored by members of his own groups but helped by a Samaritan. Jews and Samaritans normally despised each other. Jesus teaches us that the victim’s true neighbor was the person who showed mercy, not the ones who were just part of his own group.
When the speaker figures out who the real friends of the New York virus victims are, he can make his donation at www.samaritanspurse.org.
BAD METAPHOR OF THE DAY
Bad Metaphor of the Day: After the New York Times called on the DNC to investigate to see if there were any records of former Joe Biden staffer Tara Reade filing a sexual misconduct complaint, DNC Chairman Tom Perez dismissed the idea as “absurd,” saying, “This is like the Hillary emails because there was nothing there.”
I doubt that I’m the only one who thought, “So you’re saying the records were there, but you erased them with BleachBit, then pounded the hard drives with a hammer?”
I’ll give Mr. Perez this much: the suggestion that this could be settled by letting the DNC investigate it is truly absurd. It’s like demanding that a fox investigate the security system on your henhouse.
I wrote last week that it’s common among conservatives to figure out what the left is doing by looking at what they’re accusing the right of doing. So as shocking as this news should be, it’s really not: A retired Army general who served under Obama is working with an anti-Trump Democratic PAC to utilize an information warfare tool funded by the Pentagon to fight ISIS propaganda in order to target social media sites that defend Trump.
For instance, targeting people who dared to refute the media claim that Trump told people to inject disinfectant (which, by the way, he didn’t do – and FYI, nobody paid me to say that, I just watched the press conference.)
If you want to know what this is really about, then as usual, look closely and the people behind it will tell you themselves. This is what they’re calling this blatant attempt to silence free speech and prevent corrections of their own fake news and propaganda: “Defeat Disinfo.”
Dis info should tell you who’s really pushing disinfo.
AINSWORTH: HERE WE GO WITH MICHELLE O.
By Laura Ainsworth, Staff Writer
STILL think this hasn't been planned for a long time? One way or another, Michelle Obama's place on the ticket was going to be arranged. It's time for a few more articles like this.
The piece I'm linking to has a brand new reason why Biden should pick her: Since everybody knows she doesn't want to be in politics (right), his ability to convince her to do it will tell voters he has the persuasive power to be a leader! (See, this way, if she changes her mind, it won't be because she's wishy-washy or disingenuous but because Biden's such an incredibly persuasive guy.) The irony: if Michelle is on the ticket, it will be with the goal of making HER the leader.
