Hillary may have lost the election (thank God), but she can hardly say she didn’t get her money’s worth for the $10 million her designated law firm paid to Fusion GPS for that fictional Russian “dossier.” Just as the Russians want nothing more than to sow chaos within the Trump administration, the same can be said of the Clintons and their cronies, advancing like a computer virus or those little root weevils that weave their sticky webs throughout everything. Kudzu also comes to mind. The current chaos in the White House isn’t just due to the President’s propensity for tweeting; it’s bound to be in large part because of the constant intrusion, frustration, and legal boxing-in being accomplished by special counsel Robert Mueller and others with similarly destructive goals. The Clinton network reaches literally around the world.

For example, we’ve just learned from John Solomon at The Hill that former Australian Foreign Minister Alexander Downer, who told the story about overhearing John Papadopolous talking drunkenly about Russians having dirt on the Clintons, has a “Clinton connection.” What we know so far: He was involved in obtaining a $25 million donation (Australian taxpayer money) for the Clinton Foundation intended to help fund screening and treatment for AIDS in Asia –- certainly a worthwhile cause, but the connection is there, and worth exploring. A spokesman for Hillary said it was “laughable” that some are seeing a connection, calling it a “pathetic” attempt to distract from Trump’s failure to “defend his own country against widespread attacks on American democracy.” Anyone who spins that hard has no credibility with me.

Recall that when serious doubt started being cast on the tall tales in the Steele dossier, the story became, “No, no, the FBI investigation into Russia and Trump wasn’t started because of the dossier --- it was started because of George Papadopolous,” meaning Downer's story. Downer’s connection to the Clintons was simply never disclosed by the FBI, not even to Congress. But now that we finally know about it, the Papadopolous story is suspect as well, though it’s been an important part of the media narrative for many months.

Ohio Rep. Jim Jordan, a member of the House Oversight Committee, summarized the problem well: “The Clintons’ tentacles go everywhere, so that’s why it’s important. We continue to get new information every week. It seems that sort of underscores the fact that the FBI hasn’t been straight with us.”

Solomon explained on Monday in an interview with Sean Hannity that all four sources that led to the FBI investigation and, ultimately, to the special counsel are connected to the Clintons. First, the George Papadopolous story came from someone with ties to the Clinton Foundation. Then, the Christopher Steele “dossier” was funded by the Clintons and compiled by someone who desperately wanted Hillary to win. The Michael Isikoff story used to back up the dossier was nothing more than information Steele provided from the dossier itself, which, again, goes back to the Clintons. Finally, Clinton henchmen Sydney Blumenthal and Cody Shearer were feeding stories through the State Department to Steele to pass on to the FBI. Where in all this is any legitimate, untainted information?

Unfortunately, the Inspector General looking into the FBI’s handling of all this doesn’t have the broad jurisdiction of a special counsel. The Clinton web obviously reaches deep into the State Department and elsewhere inside and outside of government, but Horowitz can’t interview any of those people. He can’t even interview anyone who’s left the FBI, so let’s hope he already has whatever he might have needed from Andrew McCabe, who is now collecting his pension. On the bright side, if we do end up with a special counsel taking over where he left off, he at least will have built that investigation a solid launching pad. (Gosh, it just occurred to me –- is it possible that Horowitz could be appointed special counsel? How does that work? Worth researching.)

Common sense says that if Mueller really cared about Russia’s role in the 2016 election, he’d expand his investigation to include Hillary and her campaign, plus some current and former members of the State Department and DOJ, since the only clear evidence of wrongdoing (obstruction of justice, for starters) turning up so far implicates THEM, not Trump. Curiously, though, he shows no inclination to talk to them or even to look in their general direction.

I am so disgusted with our lying & corrupt politicians in this wonderful country of ours. This includes Republicans that fight against policies that they should support willingly but instead they are only “taking care of their interests” & not “we the people”. So,so sad.

Someone needs to explain to liberals the NRA does not sell guns, what the NRA does is safety training, protecting our 2nd Ammendment
rights, the NRA gave over $7 million dollars over the past few years to schools for grants in training how to use firearms and competition
with firearms. But this good news never is in the liberal papers or on TV.
    Thank you,

Huuumm? Mueller hesitant to investigate HRC and Bubba C.? Has anyone thought to look into Mr. Mueller's bank account?
Or, is he a card-carrying member of the "Clinton World-Wide Progressive Initative"?
    Just a thought, Governor.
    Keep preaching the Truth!

Mike, You're always right on....I could just ditto everyone's comments I've read. Sorry state of affairs, the Dems, period. I can't believe they're receiving a taxpayer funded paycheck for their obstructionist actions, since Trump was elected. The world can see what they're made of, and it isn't good...I have to make one observation, going back to the State of the Union speech, Nancy Pelosi looked like she was adjusting her dentures during most of the ceremony....I hope she got to the dentist. As far as Mueller and the Clintons are concerned, all I can say is God, please help us! Can NO ONE stop the Clintons? I believe God is the only one who can, and I hope it's soon!! We all need to be praying for His intervention in this mess. God Bless you and Sarah!!

I have enjoyed your level headed commentary. I am a large employer and a native Californian. I am sick about what has happened to a State I love. I realize that the condescension that this state has exhibited towards the rest of the Country, in the past, has created a feeling of “you deserve what is happening”. We have been overrun with immigrants that have not been allowed to assimilate. Schools and cival society have been destroyed. People who can, leave. California needs at least one generation with zero new immigrants. People like you and your daughter have the ability to tell our story in a reasoned way. We need help from the Federal government to seal our borders. We need the rest of the Country to realize this cancer will spread.
