Today's Commentary: Kathy Griffin Gave GOP A Gift -- Hillary In 2020 -- Jim Carrey TalksOut His Butt Again
I promised myself that I wouldn’t mention Kathy Griffin again, since she feeds off of attention like bottom-feeder fish suck up algae. And how could I possibly mock her histrionic press conference in a way that would be worse than its own self-mockery? (The Trump family “bullied” her by getting upset when she posed for a photo holding up a mock, bloody, severed head of the President; people wouldn’t be criticizing her if she were a man – wow, she really has learned a lot from Hillary; it’s an outrage that she’s had to endure nasty Internet comments – Hello! You’re KATHY GRIFFIN! Mean, nasty personal comments about celebrities are what paid for your mansion in Bel Air.)
Don’t believe for a second that this has really harmed her career. A few shows are being canceled now, but this is just political kabuki theater. It took her all of 24 hours to go from contrite apologies to playing the victim, and within a few weeks at most, her hardcore liberal fans who are equally “broken” by Trump Derangement Syndrome will be lining up to buy tickets to show their support for their martyred heroine. The cynical and tasteless stunt will have worked, at least for her. If she really cared about politics and the direction of America, she would have considered that she was handing Republicans a perfect tool on a silver platter to illustrate to voters why today’s emotionally unhinged liberals can’t be trusted with government power, or even sharp objects. And the GOP is already starting to use that tool.

Hillary In 2020
By Mike Huckabee
Top Clinton confidante Doug Schoen, who’s spent time with Bill and Hillary recently, claims that Hillary is “back in the game,” and “even if it’s only in her own mind, she is running” for President again in 2020. It might be difficult for her to attract over 50% of the vote, considering she’s now blamed at least 80% of the population for her loss in 2016 (You think that’s a joke, but visit @FoxNewsResearch on Twitter for a chart/list of all the people she’s blamed so far - aside from herself, of course.)
This is terrible news for Democrats, who desperately need to develop a new generation of contenders, but that will never happen when the Clintons, Obamas, Pelosis, etc., refuse to get off the field and just keep hanging around, reminding voters of their failed policies, hubris and lack of connection with reality. But a third Hillary run is great news for “Saturday Night Live.” Think of all the jokes they’ll be able to reuse, including the classic sketch from the John Belushi years: “The Thing That Wouldn’t Leave.”
Jim Carrey talks out of his butt again
By Mike Huckabee
In recent days we’ve been gifted with the astute political analysis of antiterrorism strategist Katy Perry and the hilarious cutting-edge comedy of laugh-riot Kathy Griffin. As if that weren’t enough, now we get to continue our journey towards self-enlightenment with the delicate philosophical musings of Jim Carrey.
According to Carrey, it really doesn’t matter what any of us does, because all of creation is just God’s Fidget Spinner. He knows this because...well, he doesn’t say. His advice to Griffin is that she should have held up a severed leg as well. According to Carrey, it doesn’t matter whether or not a joke is funny --- that explains much of his humor –- but it should “cross the line,” although the line “is not real,” which doesn’t make any sense, but never mind.
At the same time, he says the comedians are “the last line of defense” and “the last voice of truth.” Let’s all hope that’s not the case, especially if the last word comes from someone famous for talking out of a certain body orifice.
