Today's Edition: 8 minute read
Many Trump supporters have reached their breaking point from all the groundless accusations of racism and white supremacy being leveled at the President –- and, by extension, at THEM. Count me among that group; I’ve never seen anything like this in my life. If you are unfortunate enough to be watching CNN (maybe you’re stranded at the airport), you will think the whole world has gone freaking crazy. But it really hasn’t. We know what’s going on: Democrats desperate to retake power are caught in the grip of a mass hysteria. They've simply shifted focus from "Russia" to "racist."
Trump is no more a white supremacist than he is a Russian agent, yet that nonsense was all we heard for three years. Breathless reporters accused Trump of conspiring with Vladimir Putin to get elected President, which would make him a traitor to his country and subject to punishments up to and including execution. When that fantasy fizzled, and the dream of impeachment faded (until they can stir it back up), it had to be replaced by something else just as baseless and far-fetched. Now, instead of being an election-stealing puppet of Putin, Trump is a card-carrying, hood-wearing, cross-burning, code-talking, immigrant-hating white supremacist. And so is anyone who supports him, or even just doesn’t sufficiently hate him.
Digging for dirt on Kavanaugh
By Mike Huckabee
For a bunch of people who claim to be “progressive,” House Democrats sure do spent a lot of time endlessly rehashing the past. While he girds up for his umpteenth attempt to undo the 2016 election, House Judiciary Committee chairman Jerry Nadler is now demanding to see tens of thousands of records from Supreme Court Justice Brett Kavanaugh’s time working in the White House Counsel's Office under George W. Bush from 2001 to 2006. Yes, you read those years right.
Georgia Republican Rep. Doug Collins called the demand so "far outside the scope of judicial ethics, it’s harassment."
Here are just a few of the questions this story brings to my mind:
Who’s going to read through that mountain of dry documents about long-forgotten issues and dull legal policy minutiae? Do the interns know that’s what will be expected of them when they could have gotten paying jobs at Starbucks? What does Nadler expect to find, some evidence of impeachable crimes in White House interoffice memos from the Administration before last? (FYI: these documents are so old that even if they did contain anything criminal, the statute of limitations on the newest ones would have run out six years ago) If I could demand every document involving Jerry Nadler going back 18 years, do you think I’d find anything shady?
Finally, the biggest question of all: What is Jerry Nadler’s job? I mean that sincerely. I know he’s supposed to be representing the people of New York’s 10th district, but I see little evidence of that. I also see little evidence that he’s working to make life better for all Americans. He seems to be focused on nothing but abusing his position to harass other officials who disagree with his political views and hound them out of office, despite a lack of any evidence of wrongdoing. When official investigations like the Mueller report fail to turn up any evidence, he proceeds with impeachment anyway, promising to come up with grounds later. How? If this latest request is any indication, he’ll be taking the same approach that tabloid reporters do when they steal celebrities’ garbage and root through it, looking for anything embarrassing.
Someone please inform Rep. Nadler that he’s supposed to be working for the USA, not TMZ.
President Trump goes to El Paso and Dayton
By Mike Huckabee
While his opponents were working hard to tear Americans apart, President Trump and the First Lady tried to bring them together Wednesday by traveling to El Paso and Dayton to visit with the mass shooting victims and relatives of victims. Despite the efforts of some to keep him away or make him feel unwelcome, Trump was warmly received by those he came to comfort, and he spoke the way a President should at such a terrible time.
I honestly don’t understand what’s going through the minds of the Democrats who are trying to stir up anger, hatred and division (and worse, fundraise off the deaths.) They want voters to replace Trump and put them in charge, so they’re making it clear that in times of national grief and crisis, their reaction will be to become angry, shout, point fingers, lay blame, threaten people who disagree with them, and try to make half the country hate the other half. I can’t see that as a winning argument for putting them in charge of anything important.
More and more, the Democrats running for President are starting to resemble the kind of toxic ex-boyfriends who think they can convince you to dump the guy you left them for and let them back into your house again, if they stalk you, yell at you, show up at your workplace and harass you, or stand in your yard, blasting annoying music at you through a boombox.
“Journalism,” circa 2019:
By Mike Huckabee
The New York Daily News makes up a fake quote that not only completely misrepresents something said by Mitch McConnell’s campaign spokesman, but claims that he “literally” said something he never said.
Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez takes to social media to condemn McConnell for the fake quote.
Newsweek covers the story about AOC without bothering to check and inform readers that the quote was fake.
Meanwhile, McConnell has a yard full of loudmouths threatening his life based on other partisan fake news and the threatening hashtag “MassacreMitch” that Twitter has allowed to trend for days. Then when McConnell’s campaign’s account posts actual video of the protesters threatening his life and calling for him to be stabbed in the heart, Twitter locks THEIR account for violating Twitter’s rule against posting physical threats.

The stealth tactic of targeting low-turnout Democratic districts to sneak in stealth far-left officials like AOC doesn’t seem to work so well once the voters are on to it. And so, after six weeks of vote challenges, Tiffany Cabán, the AOC-backed “progressive” Queens district attorney candidate, finally conceded defeat when her backers were unable to find enough ballots in car trunks to overcome a 60-vote deficit.
Let’s hope this marks a turning point at which voters have wised up to this leftist stealth takeover of government from the bottom up. At the very least, Queens residents and business owners can breathe a little easier knowing that for the foreseeable future, criminals will still be treated as if they’re doing something illegal, as “triggering” as that might be for the poor dears.
Fun and enlightening read: Conservative author and comedian Evan Sayet explains why conservatives are happy and leftists are miserable. It’s because capitalists need friends and socialists need enemies. Read the full explanation at the link, it clears up a lot of the crazy stuff you see in the news these days, including the left’s need for “dog whistles” and “microagressions” so they have something to feel oppressed by when nobody is thinking about them at all.
A leftist college professor claims that grades are a form of meritocracy, and capitalism is being propped up by meritocracy, so grades are “capitalism in action” and should be abolished at all levels of school to fight capitalism. I give this idiot an “F.”
Say, do you know what’s an actual example of capitalism in action? When people try to charge way too much for a product that isn’t worth beans, so the would-be customers have the freedom to go elsewhere.
