Yesterday, I highlighted a new book by Peter Schweizer called “PROFILES IN CORRUPTION: Abuse of Power by America’s Progressive Elite,” which describes in detail how the fortunes of the Biden family grew exponentially while Joe Biden was Vice President and Obama’s “point man” in various parts of the world. The story of Hunter Biden, who was appointed to the board of corrupt Ukrainian natural gas company Burisma and reaped huge monetary rewards just for having his name on the masthead, is especially timely now, as President Trump was impeached and is now on trial in the Senate for his request –- his appropriate request –-that corruption involving the Bidens in Ukraine be investigated.
Trump had ample reason to ask for this investigation that has nothing to do with the 2020 election, but Democrats in the House, eager to remove him from office in any way possible, impeached him anyway. And that is why many of us --- the most patriotic and/or masochistic of us --- stayed up into the wee hours last night listening to many outrageous lies from Democrats on the first day of the Senate trial.
This week, Joe Biden actually put out a “campaign memo” calling for members of the American media to reject the allegations that are being made about Hunter and his involvement with Burisma. Knowing the media, it’s likely that the majority of “journalists” will take their marching orders from good ol’ Joe, but investigative reporter John Solomon isn’t about to. He takes apart Biden’s memo point by point.
I imagine most of the media will ignore Solomon’s piece completely and use Biden’s self-serving memo as the foundation of their reporting on him. But If I have to choose whom to believe, John Solomon or THE NEW YORK TIMES, I’ll take Solomon every time.
