Rudy Giuliani has been taking some heat lately, even from certain Republicans, for his frequent media appearances in defense of his client, Donald Trump. Secretary of State Mike Pompeo and Attorney General Bill Barr have expressed some discomfort with it. I’ll tell you what, though --- at a time when the media (and, of course, congressional Democrats, notably the gifted “parodist” Adam Schiff) are pushing a shamefully inaccurate account of the President’s phone call with Ukrainian President Zelensky, and when the flow of information in our culture has been so politicized leftward, President Trump needs a strong public voice for truth and the facts, and if that has to be his own personal lawyer, then so be it.
Giuliani appeared on this week’s SUNDAY MORNING FUTURES with Maria Bartiromo, and what ensued was magnificent television that stretched through the first half of her show. Although his participation was as the President’s attorney, he made it clear at the outset that he is a former U.S. Attorney for the Southern District of New York, where he investigated many corruption cases involving both Democrats and Republicans, adding that this was at a time when “we didn’t have the standard that exists now, which is you only investigate Republicans.” Bartiromo, exasperated as we all are at this point by the two-tier justice system and the lack of accountability on the left, rose to shouting at times and did a superb job of playing Devil’s Advocate. Fortunately, Rudy had come armed with documentation, as he always does these days.
With gratitude,

FEATURED STORIES
Fake News Tuesday
Ever know one of those people who gets a “Word-a-Day” calendar, then starts working the same weird word into every sentence? That’s how Democrats and the media have become with “quid pro quo.” They’re so obsessed with the idea that last Friday, the New York Times described a meeting in the Oval Office by claiming that NRA head Wayne LaPierre discussed providing financial support for President Trump during impeachment in exchange for Trump dropping support for certain anti-gun legislation.
https://www.westernjournal.com/nyt-called-quietly-removing-trump-nra-quid-pro-quo-insinuation/
After that set the leftist media quacking “Quid pro quo!” like a flock of Latin ducks, the Times quietly edited its piece to make the NRA’s alleged support of Trump much more ambiguous. The L.A. Times’ Matt Pearce was among the first to draw attention to the stealth rewrite, which changed the whole nature of the explosive story without any formal announcement of a correction or retraction by the Times. LaPierre noticed, however, and issued a statement categorically denying the Times’ original piece and claiming there was no discussion with Trump about any kind of mutual support agreement.
The Times had attributed the original story to “people familiar with the meeting.” As a rule of thumb, any liberal outlet’s description of what Republicans are doing and saying in private will be about as accurate as a description of an elephant written by a committee of blind men. Or Adam Schiff’s “transcript” of Trump channeling Tony Soprano.
Whenever you see a New York Times story that claims to reveal what President Trump said in a private meeting with anyone of a conservative bent, you can safely assume it’s less reliable than the Weekly World News. At this point, the odds that the Times has a source inside the Trump White House who can be depended on to report what Trump says or does honestly and objectively are about as great as the Times inviting me to join their editorial board.
Democrats are dangerously unhinged
By Mike Huckabee
The willfully clueless demand of House Democrats that President Trump release transcripts of his private conversations with a rapidly increasing number of world leaders may be the strongest sign yet that Trump Derangement Syndrome makes you hate Donald Trump more than you love your own country.
This kind of dangerously unhinged behavior sends a clear and chilling signal to other leaders worldwide that they cannot speak frankly and openly to the President of the United States on sensitive subjects without fear that their conversations will be leaked to the New York Times to advance the agenda of the President’s political opponents. It will sour international relations, make the US less trusted, prevent us from being able to build alliances and obtain needed intelligence, weaken the United States and make the world a much more dangerous place.
But hey, “Orange man bad!” so even undermining your own nation’s security isn’t too great a sacrifice if it will undo the 2016 election, right?

Andrew Cuomo = Voice of reason?!?
By Mike Huckabee
You know the Democratic Party is in trouble when New York Gov. Andrew Cuomo becomes its voice of reason. Cuomo said by all means, there must be a thorough investigation of Trump’s phone call to the Ukrainian President (Cuomo wouldn’t be a Democrat if he didn’t demand an investigation every time Trump burps.) But he said that by caving to pressure from the leftists in her caucus on impeachment, Speaker Pelosi set the Democratic House on “a very long and unproductive road.”
He predicted that the Ukraine investigation won’t find anything substantive and ultimately will go nowhere because even if the House votes to impeach, the Senate will reject it. In the meantime, it will distract from other important issues and nothing else will get done between now and the 2020 election.
On the other hand, House Democrats have gotten virtually nothing done since the last election other than whining and screaming for Trump’s impeachment, so it’s not likely the public will notice any difference.

I wanted to make sure you also read these comments:
The plot thickens, or is that “sickens”… Questions are already beginning to bubble up about how Rep. Adam Schiff seemed to have the psychic ability to predict this “Ukraine whistleblower” brouhaha when he claimed not to have access to the complaint…

And why one of his staffers made a trip to Ukraine over a month ago, which might be coincidental, but the coincidences in the itinerary are almost as astounding as the one on Schiff’s Twitter feed.
Confused? Derek Hunter has a fun suggestion for how to get to the bottom of all this.

It was announced this morning that Bernie Sanders’ campaign hauled in a hefty $25 million in donations over the past three months. It bodes well for his followers that they enjoy handing over their hand-earned money to a socialist. If they get their way and he wins, they’ll be doing a LOT more of that.
