Today's Edition

Rudy Giuliani has been taking some heat lately, even from certain Republicans, for his frequent media appearances in defense of his client, Donald Trump. Secretary of State Mike Pompeo and Attorney General Bill Barr have expressed some discomfort with it. I’ll tell you what, though --- at a time when the media (and, of course, congressional Democrats, notably the gifted “parodist” Adam Schiff) are pushing a shamefully inaccurate account of the President’s phone call with Ukrainian President Zelensky, and when the flow of information in our culture has been so politicized leftward, President Trump needs a strong public voice for truth and the facts, and if that has to be his own personal lawyer, then so be it.

Giuliani appeared on this week’s SUNDAY MORNING FUTURES with Maria Bartiromo, and what ensued was magnificent television that stretched through the first half of her show. Although his participation was as the President’s attorney, he made it clear at the outset that he is a former U.S. Attorney for the Southern District of New York, where he investigated many corruption cases involving both Democrats and Republicans, adding that this was at a time when “we didn’t have the standard that exists now, which is you only investigate Republicans.” Bartiromo, exasperated as we all are at this point by the two-tier justice system and the lack of accountability on the left, rose to shouting at times and did a superb job of playing Devil’s Advocate. Fortunately, Rudy had come armed with documentation, as he always does these days.

Fake News Tuesday

By Mike Huckabee

Ever know one of those people who gets a “Word-a-Day” calendar, then starts working the same weird word into every sentence?  That’s how Democrats and the media have become with “quid pro quo.”  They’re so obsessed with the idea that last Friday, the New York Times described a meeting in the Oval Office by claiming that NRA head Wayne LaPierre discussed providing financial support for President Trump during impeachment in exchange for Trump dropping support for certain anti-gun legislation.

After that set the leftist media quacking “Quid pro quo!” like a flock of Latin ducks, the Times quietly edited its piece to make the NRA’s alleged support of Trump much more ambiguous.  The L.A. Times’ Matt Pearce was among the first to draw attention to the stealth rewrite, which changed the whole nature of the explosive story without any formal announcement of a correction or retraction by the Times.  LaPierre noticed, however, and issued a statement categorically denying the Times’ original piece and claiming there was no discussion with Trump about any kind of mutual support agreement.

The Times had attributed the original story to “people familiar with the meeting.”  As a rule of thumb, any liberal outlet’s description of what Republicans are doing and saying in private will be about as accurate as a description of an elephant written by a committee of blind men.  Or Adam Schiff’s “transcript” of Trump channeling Tony Soprano.

Whenever you see a New York Times story that claims to reveal what President Trump said in a private meeting with anyone of a conservative bent, you can safely assume it’s less reliable than the Weekly World News.  At this point, the odds that the Times has a source inside the Trump White House who can be depended on to report what Trump says or does honestly and objectively are about as great as the Times inviting me to join their editorial board.

Democrats are dangerously unhinged

By Mike Huckabee

The willfully clueless demand of House Democrats that President Trump release transcripts of his private conversations with a rapidly increasing number of world leaders may be the strongest sign yet that Trump Derangement Syndrome makes you hate Donald Trump more than you love your own country.

This kind of dangerously unhinged behavior sends a clear and chilling signal to other leaders worldwide that they cannot speak frankly and openly to the President of the United States on sensitive subjects without fear that their conversations will be leaked to the New York Times to advance the agenda of the President’s political opponents.  It will sour international relations, make the US less trusted, prevent us from being able to build alliances and obtain needed intelligence, weaken the United States and make the world a much more dangerous place.

But hey, “Orange man bad!” so even undermining your own nation’s security isn’t too great a sacrifice if it will undo the 2016 election, right?

Andrew Cuomo = Voice of reason?!?

By Mike Huckabee

You know the Democratic Party is in trouble when New York Gov. Andrew Cuomo becomes its voice of reason. Cuomo said by all means, there must be a thorough investigation of Trump’s phone call to the Ukrainian President (Cuomo wouldn’t be a Democrat if he didn’t demand an investigation every time Trump burps.)  But he said that by caving to pressure from the leftists in her caucus on impeachment, Speaker Pelosi set the Democratic House on “a very long and unproductive road.”

He predicted that the Ukraine investigation won’t find anything substantive and ultimately will go nowhere because even if the House votes to impeach, the Senate will reject it.  In the meantime, it will distract from other important issues and nothing else will get done between now and the 2020 election.

On the other hand, House Democrats have gotten virtually nothing done since the last election other than whining and screaming for Trump’s impeachment, so it’s not likely the public will notice any difference.

I wanted to make sure you also read these comments:

The plot thickens, or is that “sickens”…  Questions are already beginning to bubble up about how Rep. Adam Schiff seemed to have the psychic ability to predict this “Ukraine whistleblower” brouhaha when he claimed not to have access to the complaint…

And why one of his staffers made a trip to Ukraine over a month ago, which might be coincidental, but the coincidences in the itinerary are almost as astounding as the one on Schiff’s Twitter feed.

Confused? Derek Hunter has a fun suggestion for how to get to the bottom of all this.

It was announced this morning that Bernie Sanders’ campaign hauled in a hefty $25 million in donations over the past three months.  It bodes well for his followers that they enjoy handing over their hand-earned money to a socialist.  If they get their way and he wins, they’ll be doing a LOT more of that.

I hope that every one is writing their Congressman with their view on what the Democrats are doing to the President and the American people. I am taking the liberty of sharing my letter to my Congressman who happens to be Adam Schiff.
Open letter to Adam Schiff October 1,2019
You are the representative elected by my fellow citizens to represent me in the United States Congress. That does not mean that I forfeit my right as a citizen to demand that you exercise your constitutional duty to uphold the laws under which you were elected to serve. You are an embarrassment to your District and an example of deplorable political ambition gone rogue in pursuit of selfish motives.
I am particularly disturbed with your handling of your position as Chairman of the House Intelligence Committee. Your conduct in reading into the record of a Congressional Hearing a compilation of hearsay along with personal and misguided commentary unrelated to fact was appalling and in direct conflict to your elected duty as a Representative elected to serve the citizens of this District.
You and every elected representative has a responsibility to serve the citizens of this country in the best interests of its citizens ethically, morally and without political bias. Your conduct in the matter before your committee on September 26, 2019 was an act of misconduct that was beneath the dignity of every person who elected you to serve our District and a disservice to our Country.
I acknowledge that men and women may disagree insofar as their vision for our country, but all of us have a duty to respect the positions of a diverse society and maintain a devotion to the rule of law. We must adhere to the preservation of truth if we are to survive as a country committed to liberty and justice for all. Your actions are not reflective of a person who seeks justice. Your every action exhibits an obsessive devotion to partisan politics that is deplorable in a public servant and in my opinion, un-American!
You are an insult to the good citizens who support you. I cannot believe that they, too, believe in the wisdom of hearsay and political expediency as a vision for the future of our country.
I hope that you will see the error of your ways and resign but alas, that would require a clarity of thought that you and those who support you lack.

I think the fact that Rudy Giuliani is out on Fake News CNN, MSNBC is a good thing. If those idiots don't like what he has to say, too bad! President Trump needs to put on a full court press and beat up on these leftist criminal Democrats until they drop. This is not a dictatorship or an authoritarian country...The first amendment still exists and I for one will defend my right to free speech!

Hi-jacked Democrat Party Progressives do not care about undermining National Security or anything else that would allow President Trump to peruse his National or International policies. Their real diabolical mission is to destroy anyone that voted for President Trump in 2016, so that what happened to Hillary in 2016, never happens again! How dare the deplorables and despicables voting against the anointed "Deep State" candidate. As Rush says,... "the real issue is not Trump! His demise as being President in the White House, is only a means to an end".... The real Democrat Socialist Left issue is that their ultimate mission is to destroy the deplorables that helped to put Trump in the White House in the first place, in order for that involvement to never happen again in the future. When they are successful in their mission, there will never be another Republican President in the White House in our generation, if ever again. The deplorables, despicables and Republicans need to wake up now and insist on the return of the "Rule of Law", before it is too late to repel the boarders that are attacking our "Ship of State" and its U.S. Constitution. "Rule of Law, "Rule of Law", Rule of Law"....

It seems bringing democrats under scrutiny in any hearings hasn't been productive in the past. Whether someone like lois lerner or loretta lynch or any of those who worked under them seemed to get away with taking the 5th, some not being called at all because it was known the would take the 5th. Or,how many have gotten away with "I don't remember" "I don't recall"--seems hil used these phrases a lot in the non-productive Benghazi hearings. I would not hold my breath that that would change any time soon. First, they would throw the tantrum of a two year old to even THINK there should be hearings. Second, they wouldn't answer any questions. And, you can believe they think Republicans should not only under go hearings--but, by golly, don't take the 5th, don't bring a lawyer to advise you, don't say you don't know or can't remember--that would be TREASON!!! I think there should be a rule that people being taken to hearings should only have go to ONE. Get your acts together, decide what you want asked, have one committee ask, and any other committees that feel the need for information should just read the transcripts of the 20+ hour inquisition.

I see someone from Star Wars isn't too happy about President Trump's grandson wearing a Star Wars related Halloween costume. I don't know, maybe every costume should have some sort of tag attached that wouldn't let you put it on the kid until you have submitted to questions and received the okay? Reminds me of the Presidential Halloween masks. I know I've seen them every year since at least Ronald Reagan. All masks were caricatures, funny. Anyone not liking them just didn't buy them. But, OMG!!! Along came obama--and it was HORRIBLE, it was PATHETIC, it was HOW DARE YOU!!!! Really? Even Jimmy Carter and slick willie didn't make a fuss about their masks--or at least that was reported.

Your comments regarding "Word A Day" reminded me of my new word of the day that you might find interesting... "BILL OF ATTAINDER"... it is an unconstitutional practice for the US Congress to enter into. This law professor, Victor Williams, published a press release through the PRNewswire that suggests our Congress is involved in an "unconstitutional attainder" against Trump. The article I read was published in "The Post & Email" by Sharon Rondeau. It was a very interesting concept that I was totally unaware of and it would be very nice to read your opinion on this subject. Imagine... answering "quid pro quo" with "ATTAINDER."

You might want to read: outlines a staffer, Thomas Eager, from
Adam Schiff's office who went to the Ukraine for what ever reason with a large group of bi-partisan
members. The entire Ukraine thing is getting out of hand. The President can call anyone he wants
to, he is the executive in charge. If I were the President, I would fix the phone system first, find out who is listening and why. Biden made the first goof by telling the world about his conversation with the President of Ukraine, but because the dumbocrats want Trump out, they blame him more.
Our President has done nothing wrong that I can see, I will vote for him again, I don't care about his taxes or phone calls, I just look at my portfolio and watch it grow.
Just wait when Trump wins again, all hell will brake out again!
    Best regards,
