Democrats hoped that the Robert Mueller investigation of “Russian collusion” in the election would be like a stick that they could use to whack President Trump.  Instead, it’s turned into a piñata that keeps dropping surprises every time you poke at it, and most of them are not harming Trump.

Last week, so many dropped that the floor is covered with revelations of bias, anti-Trump/pro-Clinton activism, corruption at both the State Department and the FBI, and possibly even an attempted coup.  You’ve probably already heard a lot of the revelations, but here is Rep. Trey Gowdy doing a masterful job of summing them up: READ MORE

And here’s a more detailed list: READ MORE

Believe it or not, it just got worse.  A FOIA lawsuit by Judicial Watch revealed that among the things overlooked by the “nonpartisan” Trump investigators was that the State Department allowed Hillary and her top aide Huma Abedin to remove files simply by claiming they were “personal” and “non-classified.”  If so, they seem to have a different definition of “personal” than most of us do.

They included five boxes of files described as “Muslim Engagement Documents” (were those personal engagements?); Hillary’s "personal" meeting schedules and phone call logs; and a file described as “the log of the Secretary’s gifts.”  Gifts to federal officials are supposed to be heavily regulated and preserved for the public record.  It might be interesting to correlate the gifts to the meetings and call logs, but alas…

Commentary continues below advertisement

Judicial Watch president Tom Fitton said this shows the State Department had a deal with Clinton to hide her call logs and schedules, contrary to federal law.

In addition, Fox News obtained an early draft of James Comey’s statement exonerating Hillary Clinton which revealed just how much of the initial damning findings had been edited, changed and softpedaled.  This combined with the previous story of State Department collusion in destroying potential evidence has some legal experts saying Congress should reopen the Clinton investigation.  In addition, Fox News legal analyst Gregg Jarrett said it clearly shows that Comey thought Hillary committed serious violations, and if that was rewritten by Trump-hating, Hillary-supporting FBI agent Peter Strzok for political reasons, we might finally have evidence of genuine obstruction of justice.

I’m sure Donald Trump is used to getting lots of nice goodies for Christmas, but even he must be surprised at how many gifts Santa is dropping down his chimney two weeks early.

Me. Huckabee, almost exactly one year ago Mr. Kyle Pope, the new Editor in Chief of the Columbia Journalism Review wrote a scathing open letter to President-elect Donald Trump.
I wrote the following to Mr. Pope in response.

Mr. Pope, I am writing this in response to your recent “Open Letter To Trump from the US Press Corps”.
You are right when you observe that the relationship between President Donald Trump and the press corps is “strained”. I must agree that banning news organizations from covering activities is not productive.  However, this whole issue is a two way street.
The genesis of this may have been relegating the Donald Trump campaign to ‘entertainment’ rather than ‘political’ news in the “Huff Post”. That showed a definite bias that was reflected throughout the mainstream media.
You are also disturbed that regular press conferences may not be part of the Trump program. I agree. Clear and open communication is an essential part of governing.
How sad the avoidance of “regular news conferences” by Pres. Obama and Sec. (Pres. Candidate) Clinton were treated as ‘good times’ and ‘happy days’ throughout the recent campaign by literally the whole “press corps”.
How heartening that you are now promising to not turn over your airways or column inches to people who repeatably distort or bend the truth. You pledge to “call them out” when they do.
Is there any question that much of the Clinton campaign would have been “called out” had that standard been applied in the last campaign?
I am in total agreement that “there is an objective truth”! I trust you will apply the same scrutiny and standards to all parties in any dispute.
You indicate you recognize there is serious and widespread distrust in the media across the political spectrum, a feeling that is well-deserved, not a product of accusations.
You are dedicated to higher standards for yourselves and that is certainly a good thing that will pay dividends to all.
As Donald Trump has said, much of urban America has truly been by-passed by what economic growth we have experienced. He has indicated that is a high priority issue with him and his administration. It means improved education, better streets, defeating violence and gaining respect for family.
My question to you — Is that an issue you can and will dedicate your considerable power to influence the community to accomplish?
You can - if you will - make a difference. For the good.
As we have been recently reminded (often) there is only one President.
Donald Trump won the election. He is the President of the United States.

Four months before the election,I sat down and wrote a letter to my Lord Jesus,I write him occasionally and praise him and ask him to do things. This last letter I asked him to reveal to our people the corruption ,if any, that Mrs.Hillary Clinton and her husband Bill is involved in.I still have the letter in Gods mailbox,a particular drawer in my bedroom. It seems God is answering my prayers, because I have seen a lot of FUR FLY SINCE THAT DAY.TWO WEEKS AFTER THE ELECION,I opened the letter and let my wife read it.She couldn't hardly believe what's happened.Every time and every letter seems to be answered by my Lord.Maybe not how I want it but even better.Have a wonderful Christmas and a Happy and prosperous New Year.

Governor Huckabee, Trey Gowdy is a man of integrity and I am thankful God is using him to tenaciously reveal and teach . Your article is right on. Your assessment is truth. We need more of that.
My sister and I sensed in 2009 and then we watched throughout the Obama Whitehouse years, the opaque deceptions, loss of freedoms and common sense, our laws transform into lawlessness, corruption in the FBI, the state and the justice departments. Our true concern was a Coup at the end of his term, a presidential declaration of Martial Law that we would not see the end of these years and the damage that was done to this nation like never before, this is still strongly lingering. We are grateful Hillary Clinton did not have the chance to continue this agenda and lead us into further greedy and moral decline. Again, we praise God though for His intervention using Mr. Gowdy and President Trump to the spoil their best laid plans [schemes in this case]. We appreciate where God placed you and thank you, Governor, for your sane voice!

Thank you Mike for your insight! I believe in you and read your newsletters every day. I feel I can trust you for the truth of the state of our country. I am 78 years young and I have seen a lot of changes that break my heart.
My forefathers, my brothers, my sons, my grandsons have all fought for the freedoms that we are now losing because of the selfish greed of the liberal thinkers who just live in the moment. I cannot understand the lack of knowledge that is pushing their agenda. Thank you again.

Thank God for Trey Gowdy! Wish we had more reps like him.
Oh my, one day soon I am going to list the crimes the Clintons have committed--all 6 pages of them on Facebook and many out-going emails. I sent some of those to Mr. Comey BEFORE the hearings, which he promptly ignored. Do you suppose that the Clinton Cartel may soon answer to many many prayers.

    God Bless us, everyone!

I discovered this Florida state law while researching another subject- a Florida strange law: " It is against the law to take a shower naked". I believe this also means in the privacy of one's house. The reason this law still stands is no one was charged thus this law was never challenged. When I was a teen in Boy Scouts and had to take showers with other boys nearby it was a rule to wear a bathing suit. A person can still clean the groin area while wearing a bathing suit. Then I would tell my buddy nobody opens curtain/door until I say " I'm finished, as I'm getting changed". What's the reason this can't be done in school locker rooms? Would a person rather hear Jingle Bells or the song: " Courtesy of the Red, White and Blue". If people don't want the Star Spangled Banner to be our National Anthem I nominated the preceding song mentioned earlier in this paragraph- I wonder which one Nancy Pelosi would vote for? I read a past comment of yours " Is some woman going to accuse Santa of sexual abuse when the female was under 5 and sat in Santa's lap telling him if she was naughty or nice. With Christmas 7 days away I'm waiting to hear an agnostic or atheist state: " That the Christmas plays/pageants especially ones done by children the church is promoting the institution of marriage ( and thus sex)". I believe in Reincarnation due to Matthew 10 when Jesus told his disciples that John the Baptist was Elijah returned. Before the election in November a Florida thought came to me could Jesus have come as Mr. Donald Trump who is now our President? Similarities: Jesus was disrespectful to the religious leaders Pharisees and Sadducees. Mr. Trump disrespectful to other politicians and media. People told false stories about Jesus that were constantly struck down, same with Mr. Trump, Jesus was not paid a salary to do his work, Mr. Trump donates his salary minus one dollar to a charity or special program. Also Jesus stated: " I will return in the sky with the clouds" paraphrased. Remember Jesus talked in parables. A minister of the Unity Church talking about Matthew 5 named Eric Butterworth stated he believed Jesus talked in what we call metaphors, not parables- like if wife told you " Keep an eye on my pocketbook"

The sad thing is that a little over half the country knows that Killary is guilty of everything including murder of 3 Americans in Bengazi , yet she still is walking free. We all know Comey was complicit in letting her off in the FBI investigation and that Meullar is a traitor to this country. Yet they all are free and snubbing their noses at the people. This country is circling the drain and it is because of the criminal acts of the left and the comlpacency of the Right. If Republicans don't wake up there will be no more Party. Another party will form with the true conservatives That are the party now. The down side is the left will win elections and take us into the era of socialism before we can get enough backing to fight back.

I enjoyed your thoughts on Jingle Bells, being decidedly racist by a Mayor in Detroit. In fact I agree with you pretty much all the time. I have to say, I enjoy your daughter as well. I am saddened to think that all of this unhanded flim-flammery is coming to light in the Christmas season. Nonetheless, I look forward to a New Year of getting to the bottom of this mess and getting on with the running of the country. Thanks Mike, for all your input. It is essential that we do everything we can to keep everything in the public's eye as the msm has no intention of doing that.

Of course, Mueller and his ilk want to keep this non-investigation going because they want to continue to dip more deeply into the pockets of us taxpayers. I'm sure they have fattened their salaries quite well. Had enough practice. You don't have to jump in to defend Sarah----you taught her well and she can handle most anything that comes her way. She and Trey Gowdy rank number ONE on my list (of the good people).

It's what anyone would expect concerning the Clintons. Surely people in the informed category know who they are and what they are. You and your daughter are both doing a great job where God has put you and I pray He will continue to do so as you allow yourselves to be subject to His will. God bless and Merry Christmas!

President Trump continues to be a master at playing 4 D Chess.
By allowing the Mueller investigation to continue, it has turned into a debacle for Democrats & continues to provide enlightening glimpses into the Banana Republic Obama administration which was obviously rife with graft, favoritism, greed, sexual harassment settlements, political corruption & operating well outside of constitutional legality.
What remains to be seen is will this cause Independent voters & moderate Democrats to completely abandon the Democratic Party in both the 2018 & 2020 election cycles ?

How sad and aggregating. I heard it said once that everyone in Congress ( and a few other places now) should be fired and new people voted in to end all this jauche. Unfortunately I fear we might end up voting in all the cronies of the ones to leave, we already have seen that and there are good people in Congress and the FBI and other organizations that are doing their jobs with honor. My hats off to them. Thanks for continuing to bring this to our attention, Governor. God bless.

Seems McCabe was an active Russian spy, and did LOTS of damage to out national security and pursuit of the law.

    President Trump's leadership: He has vision for the work; He seeks submission to God's authority; He is organized; He sets an example; He cares for people; He realizes tactics of the enemy; He leads an exemplary life; He demonstrates courage; He's determined to finish the work;
He's a man of Prayer. Does this sound like Nehemiah in the Old Testament?

All the crimes that we have proof of NO ONE HAS BEEN CONVICTED. Why should we believe any of this hoopla will be any different. Hate to say this, but I now believe our government is as corrupt as what we were led to believe about communist countries when I was young. The government has been used to target citizens and the perps are given pensions or reassignments,or running for president.

Looks like what Mueller and Comey don't step in, they mess up anyhow. Apparently, the Deep State at the GSA failed to notify Trump about Mueller's confiscation of all the Transition Team's tens of thousands of emails by Mueller, like they are supposed to when confronted with a subpoena. Apparently, a subpoena wasn't even necessary when "lifting" information on Trump from his Transition Team's files kept by the GSA.

Why aren't these people getting fired, instead of just demoted?
FBI lawyer Paige, Andy McCabe, FBI counter intelligence investigator Peter Strzok, DOJ Ore who met with Fusion and whose wife was working at Fusion with Russians.

Why is Trump being accused of collusion, and Hillary/DNC not being accused of collusion when they used Russian misinformation to try to smear Trump!

Gov. Mike I don't understand why Mueller has not been fired. There is no evidence of collusion with Russia and President Trump. Muller is a thorn in the Presidents side and continues to hinder his ability to be a very good president, his appointment is a complete smoke screen and a scam against the American taxpayer. Taxpayer monies are being used to pay for any thing they can bring up against the President. He and his staff needs to be fired now.

Mike, I don't understand why AG Sessions, early this year, did not investigate Comey, Lynch and Clinton when Jason Chaffetz had presented him so much evidence of wrong doing, that truly warranted a special council. Why is the AG allowing Mueller to have such biased people on his staff for their Trump/Russia collusion investigation? Surely he knows this is just a stalling tactic to give them all time to cover their tracks on all their corruption by deleting and revising emails. This is something no one thought they would have to deal with Hillary being elected. This reminds of President Bush's "shock and awe". By the time we get a special council on this people, the evidence will be gone.

The trust in the FBI is 0 in my books, and needs to be jail time for all that has broke the rules and disbarred from ever being able to practice law again. Start with Mueller and go down to the file clerks, firing not good enough, JAIL TIME, and fine them their gross worth, FBI, DOJ, CIA, IRS AND CONGRESS ALL INVOLVED IN THIS WITCH HUNT

It is sad, but we are reaping the results of leaving our moral base in the dust. When we removed moral influences from our schools and colleges, we left a vacuum filled by humanism and relativism. Now we wonder why everyone does what is right in his own eyes apart from the unchanging standard of God's biblical morality. Hopefully, these revelations will cause us to re-think where we have been and the tragic results of seeking to build a productive, caring, honest society without a firm moral foundation. Our Founding Fathers knew that this democratic republic could only survive among a moral people. Otherwise, we fall.

I strongly believe that Agent Strzok and his mistress should be FIRED. Then I would suggest that Rosenstein, Mueller and Mueller's den of thieves resign or be relieved of their duties. If this does not happen, then give them one month to present their case or go away!

As a Canadian I am shocked that all this dirty business is coming to light. There are millions of Canadians who look to the USA as a friend AND military supporter and it breaks our hearts to see your country being sucked down the sewer by the corrupt people who are hired to defend every American (FBI, DOJ, etc.). We have watched your silent civil war get uglier daily and pray for the safety of President Trump, Vice-President Pence and their families. I pray that God will wrap His loving arms around them (and you and your family) and keep them safe.
