Hillary Clinton’s claim that women who didn’t vote for her were told not to by their husbands elicited plenty of heated reactions online, including some from powerful women who didn’t need a man to tell them to be royally ticked off.
However, I have a feeling that reactions to her half-hearted “apology” aren’t going to be much kinder. Here’s an excerpt from Hillary’s lengthy explanation on Facebook:
"[T]here is anecdotal evidence and some research to suggest that women are unfortunately more swayed by men than the other way around. As much as I hate the possibility, and hate saying it, it’s not that crazy when you think about our ongoing struggle to reach gender balance – even within the same household…I understand how some of what I said upset people and can be misinterpreted."
I'll bet Democrats up for reelection in red states hate her saying it, too. In short: she’s sorry if you Trump-voting women were too dense to understand that she was right about you taking orders on how to vote from your husbands. Oh yeah, the reactions to this are not going to be pleasant…
