Fred Lucas, chief correspondent and manager of the Investigative Reporting Project for the DAILY SIGNAL, has a must-read piece that’s perhaps the most important wake-up call we’ve had since the election of 2020. It’s called “How the left hopes to seize control of local election offices.”

Lucas interviewed Jason Snead, executive director of the Honest Elections Project --- which actually is FOR honest elections --- and what he heard is truly terrifying. The left is trying to make sure they control elections in the years ahead, and to further that effort, two big-money leftist operations are ready to spend $80 million. Each.

Run For Something, a PAC formed by a former Hillary staffer, is working to elect “clerks, election supervisors, clerks, recorders and other local officials charged with running elections.” Right now, they’re endorsing 11 candidates in a number of states, but the plan is that they “will promote thousands of election administrators in the years ahead.” They’ll use their dollars to help “their” candidates get into those positions.

These are the people who interpret and enforce state election regulations. For example, they decide how closely signatures must match, whether absentee ballots arriving after Election Day will count, how strictly to enforce voter ID, and how far away poll watchers must stand.

Through a project called “Clerk Work,” Run For Something says it’ll be supporting “5,000+ candidates for local offices in charge of election administration.”

Snead compares Run For Something’s “Clerk Work” to George Soros’ project to elect district attorneys around the country to take a “progressive” approach to law enforcement. I don’t have to tell you how successful that has been. We’re seeing the bitter fruits of that now, with skyrocketing crime rates in big Democrat-run cities and even in some suburbs.
The other big spender is the U.S. Alliance for Election Excellence, which is described as “a coalition of mostly left-leaning organizations financed in part by Big Tech executives to train local officials in running elections.” There are seven of these organizations, and the leading one is the infamous Center for Tech and Civic Life, funded by Facebook’s Mark Zuckerberg. Yes, even though the unsupervised dropboxes they funded were found in violation of election law in Wisconsin, the CTCL is apparently still going strong.

Snead says the “training” is a loophole to avoid bans on private funding of election administration that are on the books in 21 states.

These groups are trying to rationalize what they’re doing by saying Steve Bannon is doing the same thing in mobilizing the right. To that, Snead says that “recruiting registered Democrats and Republicans as poll workers and poll watchers is different than a well-financed effort to place party activists in supervisory posts.”

Democrats also see this strategy as a way to put in place the provisions in the current Congress's HR 1 –- the laughably named “For The People Act” –- which was intended to federalize election law in ways that would have made honest, transparent elections impossible. That bill died in the Senate, but this apparently is Democrats’ Plan B.

Consider yourself warned. This plot has to be fought at the local level, in mostly down-ballot races. It’s hard to think of a worse threat to “our democracy” than to have elections run by these power-mad activists. Here’s the full story…

Oh we saw that recently in our board of supervisors election in San Luis Obispo County. The dem ran using red colors on his signs. our republican candidate used blue -unfortunately. then he went around telling folks he was the conservative choice! HA! He's a progressive democrat. He was back by so much teacher union money and outside our county money, its disgusting! The republicans have a hard row to hoe in California - and with dominion machines here -there's no chance..Its a corrupt county. One of our former politicians wrote a book on the scandals and the money the marijuana kingpins give the candidates- it just goes on and on. And the lies oh my!!

    Hello Mike Huckabee,
With all due respect, in your article you mention how the War Room with Steve Bannon has recommended strongly for conservatives to get involved in local elections and say maybe they are copying these recommendations. Yes, conservatives as well, need to be involved in our government today; in LOCAL offices, sadly. We cannot trust them to act in our best interest.
I will be signed up for california's November 2022 election as well, even though it is probably going to frustrate me more than I can assure an accurate, legal election. In other words will I be able to get what was actually voted/legal votes through? Maybe or maybe not; however I will be there trying to have an election where californians get the candidate they want…democrat or republican.
I hear day after day all of the bad things the radical globalists are putting in place. That's good; we need to hear it. What I don't hear from all of you with platforms is how to fix it or get conservative ideas/Constitutional ideas back into government. Yes, the War Room does have great advice on this, however the rest of you need to get on board.
Even in this article you talk about the horrors they are planning...you mention the War Room as their scapegoat, but where is YOUR advice to us on how we stand against this? You could/should be encouraging conservatives to get involved. You should be shouting that from the mountains...it would certainly help stop/slow them. Where is YOUR LIGHT from Him?
I pray that you sit back and really rethink your strategy. We have enough alarm callers of bad news. We need more people with platforms advising on how to stop or slow them. Maybe have some of the War Room guests on your show to explain to Americans how to get involved? Or find others who haven't been able to get a platform but are winning local offices to make sure that office is run legally and "for the people"...tell their stories.
With all due respect, we need to stop just talking and start acting. God bless you and guide you.

Mike, in all of my 75 years I’ve never seen such a lust for power and control that the Democratic Party is imposing upon the American people! They are destroying our way of life and taking away our freedoms and God given rights. If the Republican Party continues to remain passive and plays the “nice guy”, all will be lost! We do need God’s intervention at this time. It may be our only hope!

Conservatives can beat them at their own game and we don't need $160M to do it. There are patriots who can and will step forward to educate the like minded about this effort to thwart the democratic process.

I live in Georgia where we have the illustrious Stacy Abrams. She managed to pull off the greatest election heist ever in 2020 and continues to this day to pervert our primaries. She sends her minions to vote in primaries to vote out the best candidate. I was noticing that the top candidates were losing and started watching to see why. And that is what she does. She sends them to vote in Republican primaries and knocks out the best candidate. I am concerned because she has her eye on becoming our governor and while Kemp isn't the best we certainly won't fare well with her. That is what is going on in Georgia and I know Soros has helped her and they definitely want our 16 electoral votes.

Have you noticed in spite of all the bad ratings they have gotten on about every area. Dems show no real concern for midterms or other. Think it’s no possible they have another plan they are confident in. Just thinking out loud. ??
