DAILY BIBLE VERSE
12 For the which cause I also suffer these things: nevertheless I am not ashamed: for I know whom I have believed, and am persuaded that he is able to keep that which I have committed unto him against that day.
2 Timothy 1:12
Time to resign Joe
By Mike Huckabee
Our “Good Catholic” President Joe Biden announced that he was launching a “whole of government” effort to fight the new Texas law banning abortions of babies after they have a heartbeat. So he’s literally enlisting all the powers of the federal government to go to war on babies with heartbeats. I’m so glad we have compassionate adults back in charge.
As previously noted, when they lost this round in the SCOTUS, Democrats quickly dropped their gaslighting nonsense about “birthing people” and men having babies, too, and starting couching the law not as a protection for unborn children, but as an attack on women’s health care or women’s rights (FYI: about half of all babies are girls, and they’re getting aborted, too. So I guess women only have rights if they’re lucky enough to make it out of the womb.)
All the talk about women’s rights is even more laughable when you consider it’s coming from a man who just consigned an entire nation full of women and girls to barbaric subjugation, rape, forced marriages, sex slavery and generally being treated worse than oxen.
And before you cut him any slack due to cognitive decline or the current chaotic conditions that he created, know that according to Richard Holbrooke, Obama’s former special representative for Afghanistan and Pakistan, way back in 2010, Biden was advocating bugging out of Afghanistan and never mind the consequences. When Holbrooke brought up America’s obligations to Afghans like the girl in the Kabul school, Biden replied, “F--- that, we don’t have to worry about that.” Referring to the tragic fall of Saigon in 1973, he continued, “We did it in Vietnam, Nixon and Kissinger got away with it.”
He had zero concern for the hideousness that might be inflicted on the women and girls of Afghanistan. All he cared about was how it would affect his political fortunes. If it didn't, then (BLEEP) them. Likewise, he doesn’t care about the rights of women to feel secure in intimate spaces or to win sports scholarships as long as he can pander to the deep pockets LGBTQ lobby.
So when I see him tossing his alleged sacred religious beliefs overboard to pander to the “no limits on abortion” lobby, pardon me if I don’t believe he’s doing it because he just cares so very, very deeply about the rights of females.
PS – He accused the Texas law of “unleashing unconstitutional chaos.” Again, if he really believes what he’s saying and opposes the unleashing of unconstitutional chaos, he should resign immediately.
August jobs report underperforms expectations
By Mike Huckabee
Friday morning, the Bureau of Labor Statistics released the August jobs report, and it’s pretty dismal. Unemployment did inch down from 5.4% to 5.2%, but the 235,000 non-farm payroll jobs fell far below the 733,000 that economists predicted (it’s almost as if someone were paying people not to work!)
The drop in hiring is being blamed on the rise in COVID cases due to the Delta variant, which was also blamed for a drop in consumer confidence about the future. Yes, that must be the reason. What else could be making Americans feel less than confident about the future?
Left: "Abolish the Senate"
By Mike Huckabee
Let us hope that the op-ed West Virginia Sen. Joe Manchin wrote for the Wall Street Journal will pound the final nail in the coffin of the Democrats’ hopes of spending $3.5 trillion with a “budget reconciliation bill” (i.e., government-bloating spending orgy) passed with only 51 votes.
Manchin wrote that he will not support anywhere near that level of spending, considering Congress just added over $5 trillion in pandemic spending to the $28.7 trillion debt we’re saddling our grandchildren with, and there’s already a rising “inflation tax” on working and middle class Americans. He said some in Congress have a strange belief that there’s an unlimited supply of money that they can keep spending with no negative consequences for the future (that is a perfect description of the Bernie Sanders/AOC school of “economics” in which money is created by clicking a computer mouse with no connection to any real world consequences.)
As expected, leftists are losing their tiny minds over this. One group demanded that we “abolish the Senate.”

Rep. Rashida Tlaib blamed Manchin’s unwillingness to spend trillions more for her constituents' basements repeatedly being flooded with sewage and their power going out (funny, I’d blame that on them electing incompetent far-left Democrats like Rashida Tlaib who are more concerned with pushing radical politics than in serving their own constituents.) Still others demanded that Chuck Schmer save “democracy” by severely punishing Manchin, Kyrsten Sinema and any other Senators who don’t fall in line by taking away their committee assignments (in other words, protect “democracy” by using dictatorship to silence the duly-elected representatives of the people. Yep, sounds like leftists, all right.)
I agree with the Redstate article above: let them go scorched earth on Manchin. Since he’s from a state that Trump won in 2020 by 29 points, he can assure his reelection by switching parties and handing control of the Senate back to the Republicans.
I’ve told you before: long-term strategic thinking is not the left’s strong suit. Or any kind of thinking, really.
Painful to watch
By Mike Huckabee
This sort of thing can no longer be laughed off. It’s becoming increasingly obvious, sad, and more importantly, as Afghanistan proved, dangerous to the United States and its allies. I’m talking about President Biden’s cognitive health.
This is painful to watch. During a meeting with some rabbis, Biden said it’s the dream of Catholic fathers to have their daughters marry Jewish doctors, he brought up “Hava Nagila” being played at his daughter’s wedding but couldn’t remember the song’s name, and he repeated a claim of being in the 1960s civil rights movement that he already admitted was a lie when he was called on it back in 1987.
How can we trust anything the President tells us to be true when he can’t even remember his own lies?

"Missing context"
By Mike Huckabee
If the underlying story weren’t so tragic and infuriating, this “factchecker’s” attempt to spin away President Biden checking his watch during the body transfer ceremony for our soldiers killed by his incompetence in Kabul would be hilarious.
Note how he tried to claim the story was false, then had to admit he’d gotten the story wrong, but when he got it wrong, it wasn’t a lie or “misinformation,” it was just “missing context.” Like the part that proved he’d gotten it completely wrong.
As Redstate.com commentator Bonchie sums it up quite aptly: “In short, the fact-checking industry is a joke. The only reason it exists is to serve as a facade for partisan hacks to appear as if they operate from a place of authority.”
And that’s a fact, Jack.
