“I am asking for everyone at the U.S. Capitol to remain peaceful. No violence! Remember, WE are the Party of Law & Order --- respect the Law and our great men and women in Blue. Thank you!”

President Trump tweeted this in response to the violence that erupted Wednesday at the Capitol Building, when some “Trump supporters” broke through barricades and stormed the building, breaking windows, getting rough with police in the halls, even entering the House chamber. As this is being written, news has just broken that one of the people who got shot in the melee has died.

Trump is right: we ARE the party of law and order, but I think most of us will agree that he needs to be a lot tougher in his condemnation of this. The same can be said of the video statement he released. Of course, virtually every news outlet who posted his tepid “go home” video had to editorialize, saying that Trump “repeated false claims” of election fraud. Facebook took it down.

So did YouTube.

Trump also tweeted this on Wednesday: “Mike Pence didn’t have the courage to do what should have been done to protect our Country and our Constitution, giving States a chance to certify a corrected set of facts, not the fraudulent or inaccurate ones which they were asked to previously certify. USA demands the truth!”

Well, yes, Mr. President, but in the USA, at least those of us on the right, also demand that the Constitution be meticulously followed. Vice President Pence obviously was doing what he thought was right concerning his role in this. We may disagree with him –- numerous constitutional experts do, and Alan Dershowitz isn’t sure –- and you obviously disagree with him, but please, right now, stay out of that process and stop pressuring him.

Trump told his supporters to go home, but no reaction to this violence is complete without a total, vociferous condemnation. We all condemned the truly awful violence coming from the Democrat side this summer when their party and the media (but I repeat myself) failed to do it. In this case, it’s just as wrong, no matter who is behind it.

We are aghast at this.

I was a Republican who was a Trump follower. I blame the party for not being able to see this coming. We need a 3rd party that will fight for the people and the constitution and not rob us blind doing it!!

Mike, Like you I do not condone violence but so many people are pushed to their edge. I seen the election crime that happened here in Wisconsin with my own eyes and yes Trump should have been declared the winner. The bigger question is why was he not when clearly laws were broken. You of all people can see where we are headed and it’s not “simple government” Ps please come to WI and replace our current governor! He has a spending problem.

Governor, I am aghast at what happened in DC yesterday. I can't believe that Trump supporters lowered themselves to violence. How easy it would be for AntiFa and other disrupters to don a Trump teeshirt and wear a MAGA hat, and infiltrate the actual Trump supporters. Violence is not the MO of Trumpers. It is the MO of AntiFa. Where were they? There was no counter-protest as we've seen in the past from them. Who are the people arrested, do they have ties to those groups? So many questions....

I have always respected you, sir. Any Patriot will declare violence is absolutely wrong and never ever should be acted upon. BLM and Antifa were a large part of the invasion. The President did say he wanted No violence. He did tell people to stand down and go home. To be perfectly honest...Im done with being a republican. I will never again vote for GOP. I am so disturbed about the fraudulent elections. I am saddened by our corrupt politicians. And for sure I am saddened and upset by your comments about how you feel about President not saying stronger comments on telling people to stop the violence. He did tell them. Perhaps, sir, you should have walked in his sneakers the past 4 years and see how you would have reacted. People and President are totally fed up and worn out. And....sad and angry that we are now a socialist communist country who is losing our precious freedoms that our ancestors bled and died for!!!!

I read your Thursday am newsletter and watched Tucker Carlson's Wednesday evening show and have some thoughts to share. The violence was bad and should not have happened. Weren't these 'peaceful demonstrations' as the Dems would say? Looks like Antifa was at work again, smashing things. It may not be a coincidence that they chose Wednesday to do their dirty work that would interrupt what congress was doing. I find it madding that members of both the Congress and Senate 'lost their spines' after the interruption. Instead of continuing to investigate and review the evidence of fraud, they just gave up and walked away. The republicans seem inept to look into or care about what happened to the election and the Hunter Biden case (from my perspective). They seem to have just given up (with the exception of a few). Were they paid off by someone? Oh wait....doesn't McConnells wife's family own a Chinese ship building company? Maybe we misunderstood what Congress could do yesterday in the certification process. If there so much evidence, someone should review it and do something. Barr just gave up. Let the people know. Guests on the Carlson show were spot-on about analysis on the why and how of the riots. Congress does not understand the needs/wants of the people. Many are saying that 'it was a mistake not to investigate the fraud'. Well...it's too late now. They should have spoken up much earlier. Now they just pose for the camera and offer platitudes. Twitter and Facebook should now be investigated and action taken against them. Companies in the US can't just be able to do what they've done and get away with it. That breeds more dissent and lawlessness in many forms. I'll get off my soapbox now. This was a planned thing to happen to make Trump look bad. They do nothing when the other side burns down cities. They think that is the right thing but when it invollves Trump supporters it is not right We are now a communist run country. We need to pray all the time for Lord's help. He is the only one that can solve this problem

From what I see on non mainstream news, it wasn't Trump supporters who rioted in DC yesterday. These were leftist thugs who had also rioted in DC during the summer. There are pictures of these thugs to prove it.
I am trying to come to terms with the thought of a post-Trump democrat regime. What will that be? People desperately need some hope right now...some silver lining. I will always remember President Trump as the President for the People, the President who communicated and connected with the People, who held up a beautiful vision for America. One of the greatest, if not the greatest President, in my whole lifetime.

My husband and I DO NOT understand WHY the Verification of the Ballots was not permitted. The Dominion Voting Machines Must Be Investigated as to fraudulently changing ballots within the machines with a computer chip that changed ballots for Biden that were originally entered as Trump votes. THIS IS WHERE THE CHEATING TOOK PLACE. This is NOT RIGHT and we are ANGRY about LACK OF JUSTICE!!!

While I don't agree with those breaking into the capital, I completely understand their anger. This is what happens when both sides stop listening and respecting each other and seeing the opposite side as the evil enemy. I blame the unbiased media and social media for all of this. This is also what happens when one side sees the other side get away with the very same type of things without any repurcussions. It's almost hypocritical laughable, if it wasn't so sad

Mr. Huckabee, I have always admired you, until you became a Trump sycophant. You need to strongly condemn Trump's role in this insurrection. HE incited it. I could go on and on, but I won't here. Suffice to say that I've been a Republican all my adult life, but as of the last few months, I am now an Independent for the foreseeable future.

I am so deeply saddened that this violence occurred, and i doubt it was completely from the right, but however it happened, i do not support it in any way, as i think it is against how my Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, would want His followers to do. I wish the left felt the same as i do regarding the BLM violence and ATIFA's violence, as well, and it would be very healing if both sides offered an apology, but nevertheless, i pray this will not happen again, and that we will follow biblical guidelines in this new administration which has probably come upon us because we were not as staunch supporters as we should have been of anti-abortion and other ills. I think we are under judgment for our national sins. Or maybe this is a beginning of the Tribulation. I pray for Mr. Trump who was a great president, maybe the greatest, considering his resilience under horrendous, never-ending pressure, and i thank him for his kind and dedicated service to our nation. I know God put him there for a reason, and I am so thankful for that. I ask that people everywhere pray for our leaders, for peace in our nation and for God's Will to be done. I pray that Mr. Biden and his vice president will put the peace of our nation in a position of high esteem and show kindness to the people in order to produce a peaceful way of life for all Americans.

Please stand by the President. Call him out if you must. I don’t especially like the way he pressured Pence. Could have got his point across without elaborating over and over, but you know this election was stolen. He was telling the truth! I listened to the whole speech and never heard him say to “storm the Capitol.” Standing and “fighting” for what you believe does not mean physical confrontation and anyone who took it that way, needs a head check. We use the word “fight,” for many things... He needs a friend. Everyone is jumping ship. As a Christian, please stand in the gap for our President.

My partner, just informed me that multiple busloads of antifa/blm thugs were bused into DC, with police escorts, weeks before yesterday's violent insurgence of the Capitol building. If this is true, why were the escorted by DC police to a holding area to setup for the coming incident? And where were the FBI, Secret Service or it's counterparts guarding the REAL Trump Supporters who are tax paying AMERICAN citizens, NOT foreign thugs paid by soros, deep state and the silicon scum who will make BILLIONS at our lives expense? Today, my country for all of my 80 years and the millions of boys/girls who's lives were spent protecting this country, has died, too. Satan has won and now ALL Christians and Jews will pay the price.

one caller to Dennis Prager stated it was Antifa since they rigged scaffolding up to Hill & told them to come on In.
It was "cover" for Antifa.

Sad, sad day for our country. God decided the people of this country (not Christians or patriots) did not want to abide by His laws so He allowed them to put Mr. Biden in by any means. God will continue to take care of His people. Keep the faith.
