Mike Rowe: Targeted for his beliefs

My friend Mike Rowe is the latest to allegedly be targeted by the government for his political beliefs – even though he doesn’t even talk about his political beliefs!

Mike says he was all set to shoot an episode of his show “Dirty Jobs” on boilermakers when the Government Services Administration suddenly yanked permits they’d had for months, claiming vague “security concerns.” It ruined months of costly preparation, caused his freelance crew to lose work and have no time to line up other jobs, and kept the boilermakers from being able to show America what they do.

Mike said he’s shot shows in all sorts of sensitive government environments, from the Capitol to a nuclear-powered aircraft carrier, and never had a problem. Then he said he got a call from someone high up in the GSA, telling him that another GSA higher-up didn’t like his “personal politics” and deliberately strung him along just to yank the permits at the last possible second.

If true, this is not only yet another example of politicized bureaucrats arrogantly abusing their power, it’s also stupid. Mike Rowe doesn’t discuss his personal politics, and he pointed out that his foundation is “aggressively nonpartisan” and gives scholarships to liberals and conservatives alike. All he can figure is that the petty tyrant doesn’t like the fact that his show “How America Works” airs on Fox Business.

I’ll add that his great show “The Story Behind the Story” airs right after “Huckabee” Saturday nights on TBN. Maybe that’s why the GSA jerk’s nose was out of joint. I spend too much time telling you the sleazy stories behind how Washington works. And now, we have another one.

The Biden campaign is so terrified that he’s losing black voters to Trump that they’ve booked Biden as the commencement speaker at historically black Morehouse College in Atlanta. They either didn’t anticipate or were desperate enough to take the risk that putting Biden onto a college campus at this moment would be like tossing a cat into a dog pound. Or as Biden himself might say, like yelling “Movie!” in a crowded firehouse.

    Having been born in the US almost 80 years ago, I am now fearful of where our beautiful free country is headed. Personal wealth is paramount on most to our elected and non-elected officials. I fear for my children, my grandchildren, and now my great-grandchild. Sad to think those in power may lose their immortal souls in the process of destroying our country!     Despite being boorish, the .Donald was right about a number if things, the first of which is the federal Government is a swamp full of poisonous vipers and all sorts of other slimy things. I won’t say the GOP is without sin, but most of the slimy stuff seems to come from lefties who have no ethics or a moral code. If it feels good, or works to their ends, do it. Hang the consequences, or who it hurts.

    I believe it goes a lot deeper than imagined. it appears the total architect of our nation's political structure is being deliberately torn down. Technology is moving in a direction where man is no longer master of his fate and socialism is the proposed solution to a jobless world. Mike represents and glorifies the working man which is opposed to the future visions of some elite that fancy themselves as the orchestrators of a grand construct to save man and the world. Their technological accomplishments lending to their arrogance and apotheosis. A divine righteousness if you will allow. Unfortunately, many are allowing due to the same manipulations your article points out.

    Have you heard of the Minerva Project, or the Minerva Initiative? They use the Internet of Things in real time, to monitor everything people are doing, including you and me. These prodigious young folks go to elite schools, to learn how to organize flash mobs and social engineering armies against those who believe in capitalism and political freedom. It's part of the New World Order. Biden isn't in the real Oval Office, Barack Obama is! In a speech to the United Nations, he said that America must give up its sovereignty.

    What can I do to call out the "GSA higher-up didn’t like his “personal politics” and deliberately strung him along just to yank the permits at the last possible second"? That is incompetent job performance, and as my employee, should be addressed and corrected. Yes, as a tax-payer, they work for me.

    This is so disturbing. Mike Rowe is doing a service to educate young adults that they have options beyond a college degree that pay well. I wish the name of that petty bureaucrat was made public so he could enjoy the fallout from his action.
