When President Biden claimed that Trump supporters murdered Capitol Police officer Brian Sicknick before we even knew the cause of death, that was irresponsible and reckless. When he repeated the accusation even after it had been established that Sicknick died of natural causes, it was slanderous. But when he just keeps making that false charge, even during a high stakes summit with Vladimir Putin, and after being repeatedly corrected for two months – and on top of that, insists that BLM are just peaceful protesters -- you start to suspect that his brain is no longer firing on all cylinders.

Biden Weaponizes The IRS Again

It was under Obama/Biden that the IRS began acting as a partisan hit squad, targeting Tea Party groups to prevent them from obtaining tax-exempt status. Nobody behind that outrage was ever truly punished. And now, Biden is in power, and the weaponization of the IRS is back with a vengeance. Only this time, they’re not even trying to hide it behind euphemisms and arcane tax rules. They as much as told a Christian group that its values aligned with Republican values, so NO TAX-EXEMPT STATUS FOR YOU!

The group is appealing the denial, and is represented by First Liberty Institute, a public interest law firm that defends religious freedom rights. I pray for their success, although I’m appalled that there should even be any need to go to court to defend the concept that basic tax laws apply to religious nonprofits.

And never forget before you fill out another ballot: the Democrats want more of this from the IRS and they want to hire thousands more IRS agents to make sure they have plenty of them to come after you.

Unity and Bipartisanship Update

Senate Majority Leader Chuck Schumer met with all the Democrat members of the Senate budget committee Wednesday to start putting together a plan to use “budget reconciliation” – the process of passing a budget bill by simple majority so it can’t be filibustered – to pass Biden’s $2.3 trillion American Jobs Plan and $1.8 trillion American Families Plan.

Don’t be fooled by the typically innocuous names; they’re both stuffed with radical leftist wishlist items that have zip to do with the budget other than blowing it out of the water, and they should never be allowed to pass on a simple 51-vote majority. But Democrats sense that they have a rapidly closing window of time to force their far-left, economy-destroying agenda onto Americans, and Schumer will stop at nothing to do that.

Let’s hope and pray that Sens. Joe Manchin and Krysten Sinema hold firm in the face of massive pressure and refuse to let him do it. And let’s also pray that after the 2022 elections, Schumer will never again taste the power he’s currently trying to abuse.

Biden Employs A Familiar Tactic

The Biden Administration’s latest attempt to demonize and criminalize political dissent is truly chilling. In their latest push against “domestic terrorism” (and remember, they think that means not Antifa or al-Qaeda but “white supremacists” and Trump voters), they want to encourage Americans who suspect a friend, co-worker or even family member of harboring “extremist” beliefs to report them to the government.

For all the nonsensical comparison of Trump to Hitler, this article makes the case that this move by Biden is genuinely reminiscent of the Nazi regime.

It reminds us that there was only about one Gestapo officer for every 10,000 Germans, so they were reliant on a network of informers to keep Germans in line, out of fear that their friends or family members might turn them in.

Now, I generally don’t approve of making comparisons of current politicians to the Nazi era because it’s usually frivolous and demeans the victims of the horrific crimes of the Nazis. But it is hard to defend policies that seem to be taken right out of their handbook. So in the Biden Administration's defense, let me say that what they're trying to do is not exclusively reminiscent of the Nazis. It’s also very much like the East German Stasi. I hope that makes them feel better.

I also hope that the American people are smart enough not to fall for it and will inform the government agents that they can take their request to inform on their friends, co-workers and family members and put it where the sun don’t shine. And you can tell them I said so.
